I use buyee and I heard it's one of the most expensive forwarding services so I'm interested in alternatives myself.

That's like saying R&B is an offshoot of pop music. While they come from the same base or share elements at times they are very different.
City Pop dropped a lot of the sounds that Jpop had at the time first replacing it with just funk sounds then started to add jazz and blues elements. By the time City Pop came into it's own it was no longer Jpop. City Pop went through it's changes too. It came out during a time where Japanese music was going through a retro phase and a lot of music had this American 50s/Doo Wop feel to it. So a lot of early City Pop artist had songs that appealed to that trend.
Any way the first link the anon you replied to is City Pop for sure. The others not so much.
The Yoko Ishino song is a good example of that 50s trend I mentioned.
And Wonder Boogie is is a totally different era. That one is more Japanese disco which was a mix of many things including that 50s retro trend.

Japanese companies are completely not okay with their products being given away by others and they will quickly gank your ass if you do. Also notice that videos that do take down are ones that get too much attention. So people who are able to fly under the radar can get away with it for longer.
Nintendo is a good example of companies not liking the idea of their product being shared and not getting the modern age of the internet.
Japanese people still buy physical media as well. So downloading and the like is still a new concept to many. They prefer to own a CD or DVD. So Japanese companies of course want to twat the habit of listening to music on Youtube before it becomes a thing.
