The music isn't quite catchy at first but the more I listen to them the more I'm hooked. The menu theme feels especially trippy.

I was surprised by the playable cast but find the newhu designs quite within what I thought ZUN would do (CP and Hecatia is the peak of unexpected 2hu designs for me). Personally, I like Komano and her theme the best.

I liked the demo a lot, specially stage 1, its music is so good it reminds me in a way of stage 5 in UFO, except it's happy and cheering for you here.
I like how the danmaku patters blend with the music there.

I think most people rank Etarnity the highest in term of design and I can see why. Nemuno's design kinda sucks. I would even put Yatsuhashi above her, in fact, way above. I find Komano very cute though.

The stages themselves are ok to me but they're definitely below DDC.

What do you think about tanned Cirno? Besides a few memes, I don't like that at all.

If the release mechanic remains a broken "C for Cheat" button, I expect it to be my first 1CC.

I hate all the stupid looking noses. I also hate the outfits the new girls are wearing, but they're okay overall.
I feel like the game is similar to GFW/DS type games, but that the gimmick season attacks should reflect this. It's something about their use and effect. I also dislike the bombs.

I think the shot types themselves are okay. Maybe ZUN should have went for a weapon swapping power up type game for once though though. If this game were like Go Beryllium's type of powering up, collecting bits of seasons from fairies to get a sub-weapon, I think it'd be better.

Fun and straightforward gimmick, though hopefully it gets toned down (or countered in future stages) as it's rather overpowered at the moment. Fairies and possibility of Yuuka mean a great cast. Great music. This is probably going to be all I can think about until C92.

Summer is probably the most well-designed subshot. It's the second-best release for scoring but the hardest to capitalize on out of them all, and you get both the shot and the release due to only consuming one bar at a time whereas every other sub has you choose between them.

Demo is okay, but not nearly as good as LoLK's or DDC's. The danmaku is pretty bland and it doesn't pick up until the 3rd stage. Definitely the easiest demo yet, which is pretty disappointing. I was expecting it to be better. The gimmick at least spices things up, though.

Music is alright, but ZUN needs to drop his weird new techno style of composing. It fit in TD and LoLK, but it sounds completely out of place and retarded here. The menu theme and stage 3's ost are particularly bad. Stage 1's ost and Komano's theme are pretty nice sounding, however.

I like the newhus for the most part, Etarnity has the best design and Komano is the cutest. They aren't as memorable as DDC's first 3 and I'm disappointed with how little the fan-artists care about them (2 weeks and only a combined 500 posts tagged on pixiv) but they're still all cool.

Just play without releases if they make the game too easy for you. It's not like the other games don't shower you with lives and bombs anyway. All that nerfing releases will do is make scoring less interesting while survival will still be easy if you're using bombs + releases.

I feel like the combination of lives, bombs, and releases makes dodging anything completely pointless. The game only feels fun when doing no-bomb runs.

Stages 1 and 3 are perfect the way they are, but stage 2 needs to be cleaned up. I don't know if ZUN will do anything with it. Some of the bullets blend in too much and the streaming parts are just an easier version of LoLK stage 2. The stage portion as a whole is too simple. The part in the stage with the curling pink bullets would be way more fun if it was combined with the red bullet streaming, but that's just preference I guess. Nemuno needs new nonspells, but her spellcards are good.

I think the rest of the game will be fine as long as ZUN fixes the broken resource system. It's too easy for survival so far, but I anticipate no-bomb runs being really fun. At the worst, we'll just get a bunch of really good music in the full version.
