You can use it here and there. I still have an XPsp3 mobile drive that I fired up over the weekend to install the new ETERNALBLUE patch. But as a main system facing the internet....Possible but the type of people to do it safely are not the people currently doing it. For the most part.

I have main PC with XP and router with Kerio software also under XP. Works like charm more than 10 ears now. Absolute safety and without any antiviruses bullshit. Win 7 is 2 to 10+ time slower compared to XP. Using it only occasionally for apps refusing to run under XP.
