If we were to explain this in terms of Mendelian genetics, then half-human, half-ghost, and half-youkai traits will be expressed from individual alleles passed onto the child by the mother and father.

In this case, if Youmu amd Rinnosuke had a child (assuming all traits are dominant), you would have a 25% chance of having a pure human (HH), a 25% chance of having a half-human/half youkai (HY), a 25% chance of having a half-human/half-ghost (HG), and a 25% chance of having a half-youkai/half-ghost.

In such a scenario, there would be no such thing as a 1/4 or 3/4 human/ghost/youkai.
