I always thought high school AUs were dumb, it's basically stripping the work of any interesting thing about the setting and just sticking the characters in an unrelated location where they can't be their character anymore, just another highschool cliche.

Look at this post for example, >>16931950 whoever he's quoting didn't realize while writing that that those situations could apply to whatever character of whatever franchise you want because by changing the setting it stops being Touhou.
