The second and third ones aren't j-pop, sorry, just a couple other old Japanese albums I like.

>There was something truly magical about 70s/80s Japanese music, well music in general really
It was the time when synthesizers were implemented for the first time. Before, all music was just classic instruments or string based. The invention of electronic sound was used sparingly and creatively because people experimented with it to enhance their compositions, instead of fully relying on it. This made for a highly creative, playful and original musical creation. The human eye and ear has a fascinating ability to sense anything uncanny and artificial.
It's ironic though, because it was the beginning of what we see today. Mainstream hits being literally strung out of computer programs and artificially tuned voices.
It's super 80s shit, but I kinda like Show-Ya. There were really great for an all female metal band. I'd give anything for a torrent or DL of their stuff, because it is hard to get anything in decent quality these days.

Her (terrible)marriage marked the end of her idol years. She's more of an "artist" afterwards.
But if you mean her dating Go Hiromi, I guess it was less taboo back then for an idol to be in a relationship. Also helped that he was a big name male idol as well and people were happy with the OTPness of it. Real life fairy tale blah blah blah.

Well to be fair its a theme from a movie about Brits in WW2 japanese prison camps. So thats where the Christmas thing comes from. I recommend you to watch Mama wa idol. She was only 17 in this drama. Another protagonist Goto Kumiko was only 13 too. Both of them were cute in the drama and the story is quite interesting and funny. Quite worth to watch.

there was a very popular vaporware / retrowave / whatever webm of an old Jpop song which was usually posted on WSG.
Would you happen to know which one I'm talking about? The clip is the singer (girl) walking around a town if I'm not wrong, or something along those lines.
>>17044010
If I find it for you do you promise to never mention vaporwave again? If so I need more details.

Yes.
What details would help?
>>17044021
>>17044273
also, bear in mind that I'm not particularly looking for the vaporware webm, I just want to know the original song

Specifics of the video so that I might be able to find it and what the song sounded like if you can describe that
Rare 1980's Japan Action Club promotional poster for their hit movie yet to be released ever outside of Japan. These were the A-list actors and idols of the 1980s movie scene in Japan for every teenager in Asia who still hold prominence to this day.
Side 1.
>>17044336
>and what the song sounded like if you can describe that
I don't know how to say that without actually recording it and believe me you don't want to hear me trying to sing it.
Anyway, it was a typical young jap girl of the late 80's early 90's, long wavy hair if I'm not wrong, song starts out kinda slow then builds up to a nice upbeat chorus... All I can remember is her walking around a town and maybe a car?
It has been a long time since I last saw it.
It's fine if you don't know about it, I'll still cease talking about vaporware, don't worry, I'm glad you at least tried to help!
