On April 8, 1986, Okada was found with a slashed wrist in her gas-filled Tokyo apartment, crouching in a closet and crying. Two hours later, Okada jumped to her death from the seven-story Sun Music Agency building.

Got hooked on her songs years ago when I was working as an ALT in Hakodate.
Really heartbreaking how she went. Any ideas on why she killed herself? Was it the stress of her new idol career, her constant busy schedule, or something darker?
