I briefly owned the JP 360 version.
As a shmup fan who doesn't play fighting games, I hated it. I was expecting a game that was all boss fights, kind of like a shmup version of Shadow of the Colossus. Instead, it feels like a fancy version of pong.

Never played it but the Acceleration of Suguri series is similar. You might like that if you like this game.

Played DUO at an arcade (Arcade Odyssey in Miami had it for a bit a few years ago), and it's much better than the first game.
