Can someone please explain Imnu/Cookie to me? I've watched Cookie Kiss, but I've never seen most of the sources, and from what I understand Imnu is just an alternate reality Gachimuchi. But what even started all this? Is it just random Nico Nico Autism or is there some coordination behind it? For example, I have no idea what video NYN is from, but I've seen plenty of videos with her and with Alice slamming on the table (whatever her is acronym).
Can someone please provide some translated versions or atleast the original videos, or a way to explain this whole fad to me?

Also Inmu is older than Gachimuchi, and even though they are both about gay porn the motivation and "point" behind them as memes is different. Gachimuchi is more good willed while inmu is more based on bullying and trolling (I can elaborate on this in another post if you want). Cookie is associated with inmu because the wooden acting and shitty plot is reminiscent of the inmu movies.

Well, about the difference between Gachimuchi and Inmu, Gachimuchis started as a bait and switch meme, similar to Rick Rolling. Users on 2ch and Futaba would link to Gachimuchi videos saying it was a trailer for a new game, or upload gachimuchi videos with a custom thumbnail with anime boobs or something. It started as a good natured joke, and most of the jokes and characters are based on mishearings of the English lines instead of the sexual content.

Meanwhile inmu started around 2004, when 2ch users noticed a college baseball player (TDN) was in one gay porn movie from 2001. He had to retire from that team and couldn't play in America because of the scandal (he's okay now and playing in Nippon Ham Fighters). Anyway, since the movie he's from had 4 scenes with different actors, the other performers also got attention (Yaju Senpai and Tohno are from the 4th scene). From that, people looked up more movies with the actors and the company (COAT corporation) in search of more material to mock. And unlike Gachimuchi, the mockery here is focused on the bad acting with famous lines, the strange plotlines or the shocking sexual content (scat, old men).
