A thread for 80s jpop idols mainly talking about albums, songs, and the idols themselves
Momoko Kikuchi
Get in the 現在
The 80's are gone and will never come back...
>>16671872
Not a big fan of it.
>>16671873
Doesn't hurt to remember those times or what they've left behind,
I love Miho Nakayama and Chisato Moritaka.
>>16671946
I love 80's fashion.
Is there even a better 80s song than Samishii Nettaigyo?
I found a torrent of all of Yoko Minamino's albums that got stuck at 76%. It kills me inside.
>>16673312
I was just listening to that!
Post 80s idols who had the fattest titties.
>>16671946
Moritaka is straight legit the only good 80s idol that kept on releasing good music while also playing an instrument on her tracks
I'm really into this type of music. Can I get some more recommendations?
Tomoyo Harada is bretty gud.
Akina Nakamori's cover of Cruel Angel Thesis

Pic related, Naoko Kawai
>>16681420
My top 5: Akina Nakamori, Seiko Matsuda, Momoe Yamaguchi (more 70s though), Chisato Moritaka, Yukiko Okada
>>16681420
If there's one thing that most people of this era can agree on, it's that Akina Nakamori is essential as fuck. Start with her and branch out.
This site has a lot of stuff that covers a lot of 80s kayokyoku artists, and more.

>The 80's are gone and will never come back...
yet a lot of whats popular now is regurgitated 80s
The best Vaporwave material comes from 80's Jpop.

You guys might like this manga.

What do you guys think about future funk music?
I think it's a really good genre to expose people to 80s jpop.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ET6657PH9gQ
I like Cosmorama and For You and Timely.
I didn't get the hype behind A Long Vacation though, really didn't like it much.
Anyone read this manga?
>>16715776
that's a big record

Yep. It's very cute.
>>16716669
could not get that to work right now.
Might be on my end though.
Anyway, this reminds me that I had never seen any decent japanese 80s web radio, why is that?
The west is full with retro stations.

>>16715776
Timely is good shit. I'm really mad future funk is just taking Anri songs and making them barely different and calling it their own song. I like vaporwave but future funk isn't even trying.
Still the best

I saved this a from /jp/ a few months ago but now something's happening with the javascript on my computer so I can't do a reverse image search.
I really liked what I've heard by her. What's her name again?
>>16682486
>I miss that classic 80s sound music had
Depends on who you ask. I know guys who grew up in the 60's and 70's who hated the overuse of synthesizers in music from that era. You could make a lazy beat with a Roland keyboard and have a pretty girl sing over it, and you've got a hit song.
>>16735293
But then they'd go on the music shows and have like the full NHK orchestra backing them up.
>>16734961
Jun Togawa
>>16671819
Anyone who wants a way to easily download albums like this, look up SoulSeek. It's loaded with shit like this.
>>16737492
soulseek is dog shit though and the quality is usually shit as well
>>16737711
Not in my experience; you can find albums in at least 320 kbps .mp3 95% of the time.
>>16734961
Jun Togawa (戸川純)
Nothing I've found has captured the feel or been as good as Junko Yagami's COMMUNICATION album. It's just so good. Junko's voice is fantastic.
>>16739976
COMMUNICATION EVERYDAY,
HAS GOT TO BE THE WAYY
It's too bad most of Junko's songs are really slow paced, not as nearly as fun to listen to as her more pop like songs
>>16739976
Listen to a bit of Noriko Miyamoto
Sort of a more intense Junko in my opinion, although I have only listened to Light Mellow
