So, far as I'm concerned, the notable "exceptions" are Koishi, Remi, and Aya. Koishi's popularity is mysterious, but for what it's worth she's made herself known beyond her introduction. Remilia, much as I like her, is probably popular because she's a loli vampire from the "first" game. I am not really sure why Aya's so popular, but I'll allow it.

That said Youmu IS in my top 10, and although Reimu and Marisa aren't they're also not far behind. But, basically, I wouldn't put much stake in the mass popular pics, especially with a property so well known for fanworks.

Hell, before I got into Touhou I would've thought Alice was a goddamn main character in a constant tsundere relationship with Marisa. Well, that ain't correct.
