Finished Yoosung's route with a good ending. The banker confirming his invitation during the rundown of the guestlist was weird. Who the heck thought putting a bomb as a security measure was a good idea? I laughed when I answered I am dead when Seven was panicking.

The Rika comparison answers creeped and wore me out. Good thing Zen and Jaehee were supportive bros or I would've dropped it.

I'm playing it on my android phone so YMMV. It crashes alot randomly when I'm answering emails and rarely when I'm in the chatroom. Those lost minutes can really add up combined with frequent loading screens.

Moving on, I wish it wasn't an online only game. I hate those loading screens. The novelty of using chatrooms, emails, and calls as a game system was interesting. It's sad to see all those missed calls lined up or using an hourglass to call them back only to hear a prerecorded voicemail telling you the character is unavailable.

Because I finished my second route and just don't get why it's popular. The story is worse than Norn9 if you ask me, mainly because of the shitty worldbuilding.

I admit story is rarely my number one priority and I didn't really care much about norn9 but I thought CZ was really good. The art was pretty, Nadeshiko was awesome, most of the guys were great and it was fun seeing both the kid side and then the grown-up one. The time-travel was surprisingly consistent for the most part too and I liked hunting down all the ends. In any case maybe you had overhyped it and/or expected something else.

Yeah, I probably overhyped it since I expected a great story, considering it's supposed to be a classic.
The time traveling thing bugs me the most. Like, woah, it's a destroyed world lead by a crazy scientist. That's pretty much all we know.
The only resistance is lead by a guy not even interested in political shit and it's really fucking small and full of deliquents.There's no other resistance even though the government is clearly evil.
What about other countries? Heck, we don't even know how the world looks out of that one town.

Like, the story up to now has only been Nadeshiko and her (cute) autistic friends -> Nadeshiko gets pulled into the future -> Fights with her boy to overcome his problem -> goes back or stays and lives happily ever after
That whole 'overcome the heroes problems and they lived happily ever after' is like the most basic story. I expected something that's more involved with the destroyed world.
But I've only played 2 routes so I'm probably still missing things.

Yeah, Tora and his gang are kinda terrible. The only ray of light in that shithole you're stuck in for 3 routes is Shuuya and based Kaede. When you get to the government side and especially Takato and then Rain you'll find out more stuff about the whole situation. You won't really get much on the international front but depending on the endings as well you do get more involved with the future world.

I don't know if you'll find what you're looking for but I think you will like the other side. Riit-tan might be cute and best tsukkomi but you'll probably be frustrated at him trying to keep Nadeshiko away from everything. Nadeshiko really shines here though for what it's worth. Shuuya is my favourite but his side does suck and Tora's like the weakest route. His return end always gets me though. There's just something about seeing everyone suffering and science-ing to fix things while he walks in, stabs a bitch or two and bam problem solved..

Each route is around 20 days and most of that is just random silly events. Then only the last 3 days go into the main story of the routes which are more serious.
I just felt there was some spots where there isn't enough transition between the joke and a more serious scene right afterwords which is a bit whiplashy.

They do a surprising amount of building to make the omega/vampire stuff work together in universe. I don't know too much about the characters right now because I'm not too far in but I'm liking Genma so far, but that could change. Just finished a route in Omega Vampire.

So besides the mpreg, the omega stuff was barely there and seemed like just an excuse for them to get uncontrollably horny when it's convenient, in the same style of Lamento's heat. The vampire element was far more predominant.

The game is pretty comedy heavy so it's easy not to feel the need to take anything too seriously.

It does get "serious", and it's really fucking ridiculous. Basically the MC gets in an accident and in order to save his life he gets turned into half vampire/omega in an experiment. From there he finds a group called the Red Clan Society who wants humans and vampires to live in coexistence, and the leader has a rivalry with a really edgy foreign vampire he met 100+ years ago. It gets really, really edgy in the climax.

The route I did first had some endearing stuff in it though. Dude was surprisingly moe and will probably stay my fave. The other routes are a mad scientist, loud angry tsundere, and the edgy foreigner.

There's a lot of humor in it even during inappropriate moments. Also saves some scenes that would've been embarrassing if it was played straight. The game is clearly self-aware of its ridiculousness.

Finished all routes in Omega Vampire. Genma best boy. I wasn't prepared for the gap moe and liked him so much that I want to preorder his drama CD. Also liked Aoi, and Hakurou when he wasn't being a violent tsundere. Keiichi is funny and worked well as a protagonist, and there's even some memorable side characters.

Overall this game was worth the ride for being humorous and entertainingly ridiculous. Good OST, surprisingly coherent writing for how pants-on-head everything is, and a generally facetious atmosphere despite people getting mauled and raped to death through the whole thing and major what the fuck bad ends. I had fun.

Older cause I'm stuck without my vita for now. The gameplay is tedious as fuck but almost everyone's pretty cute and I like their interactions so I'll finish it. My favourite is definitely Noel. He's so hard-working and sweet I found myself wanting to protect his smile the most. Lagi's tsundere was good too and although I haven't finished his route yet Bilal's can be pretty suave.

Some talk on the sad end:
I can't believe I actually got a little sad for Genma here. Perhaps the right thing to say is that I can't believe I liked a character in a game about omegaverse vampire homos.

This was an extremely wild ride, and there were points where I was covering my eyes and wanting to get off. It was stupid, campy, fun, and just as edgy as the other anon described it to be. Keiichi was a fun protagonist, and Genma was very cool. I hope the other routes are just as interesting.

Genma was definitely my favorite boy because he's so sweet, but the other routes are entertaining as well. In my opinion Heinrich's route is a little difficult to get through when Genma is your favorite though.

I'm still going through feelings where I can't believe that I enjoyed something with omegaverse in it too. It's such a ridiculous concept and often ends up being used to exaggerate some of the most trite tropes in BL but Omega Vampire didn't do too much of that.

I suppose it helps that it only follows omegaverse loosely and Keiichi can go between omega and alpha, both tops and bottoms, and has alpha characteristics even in omega form. Also not taking itself too seriously certainly helped.

All right, so there's Aoi's route done.

It might be because I was reading it so late at night, but it sure did feel like his route was a real hot mess. It was not lacking in any edge, but something about the story made me zone out quite a bit at some points.

The sad end was actually quite depressing, but the good end wasn't really noteworthy at all, much like Genma's. Maybe it's just because I'm the kind of person who actively seeks out despair, but I sort of wish they did something with what would happen when Aoi reached the end of his lifespan. As for the other parts of the route, it was fun to see Gousawa turn into a nice guy, and also neat to learn more about Tani (who deserves much better, I must say). Aoi was cool? I'm already a fan of the mad scientist type, and it just made things even better to see him go from topping to bottoming. I feel like his seiyuu is some kind of new brand of Tachibana, but I'm all for it.

I think it might've been a mistake to go for Genma first, because his route was a lot more fun. I haven't done Heinrich or Hakurou yet, but if I had to go and do it all over again, I'd start Aoi -> Hakurou -> Heinrich -> Genma in order to save myself some pain.

Before this the route was giving off the feeling of approaching suffering, and this was a really welcome moment. I'm getting the same feeling I got around the end of Hakurou's route, where Keiichi came across a senpai-kouhai duo who'd just finished having secret sex at work. For whatever reason Omega Vampire is very good at these stupid comedic breaks.

I started playing it as well the moment Keiichi crossdressing was mentioned, although I still haven't finished it yet. When it was announced I questioned what this world was coming to, but it's good to see that it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Thankfully they didn't focus much on the omegashit, it could've been so much worse.

Is Heinrich's route worth doing? I've finished Hakurou and Aoi's routes, and I'm nearly done with Genma's, but I just don't find his character appealing at all. Really considering just stopping after Genma's route.

All right, there's Omega Vampire completely finished. I finished it in about 5 days of on and off playing. I'm pretty bad at giving ratings, so it was amazingly campy/10.

Loved the cast. Even Nakazawa, who I'm usually sick of hearing, was very good. I was extremely impressed with Aoi's voice actor. Like, damn, that man can moan like a pro.

The story and reasoning was a little weird in parts(which may or may not have been intentional), like in Heinrich's route and in the extra stories, but overall I had a lot of fun. Good (if a little tame) good ends, sad sad ends, and bad bad ends. Everybody was weirdly likable, Keiichi was a baller protagonist and both he and the story in general injected hilariously inappropriate humor into some situations. Despite some bullshit at the end, I would say it is worth it. It has a very closure-like ending and I imagine going directly from that route to the extra stories makes things a lot smoother.
