I'm curious about something, What are some cultural associations in these games? Do games associated with one culture/age group/mentality?
How are these games are seen in Japan?
Mahjong = yakuza gambling
Go = smart dudes making dosh from tournies
Shogi = nerds playing hardcore checkers
I have no idea but I've been playing a lot of shogi recently and its really fun
