It's very good, tofu is meant to be paired with meat.
Vegetarians are missing out if thats their main protein.
I never see cheese in these threads
what's the best one they have?
>>16596240
I imagine Japan doesn't eat much cheese compared to the West because they are mostly lactose intolerant.
>>16596240
the only time i've seen cheese commonly used in asian food is with some korean dishes, and i think it's more of an add-on to make it more creamy, but it's not necessary. asians don't eat much cheese or milk.
>>16596240
Why are they bowing before a great cheese?
>>16599134
Isn't that just a BLT?
>>16596444
Because they are the best character in the show, they are better than both the salami and the balogne COMBINED.
Posting my personal pics. This is from a soup shop where the employees are all deaf. The menus are also in Japanese sign language

Kazo style Udon with handmade noodles, they had a viewing room next to where you eat and you can watch them make the noodles. It was neato

Wheat flour, water, cabbage, and whatever you feel like putting into it. Okonomiyaki is a very versatile dish that has a similar "household specialty variation" status as Japanese curry rice.

The shop is called Suzukien. It's popular though, I think you should expect a line at most times. I was there in January and it was about 5 degrees celsius outside, but there were still 10 people in front of me.

yes, It's obviously ordinary in japan.
Two slabs of tonkatsu and tonshiru (pork soup).
Ichiran ramen.
Everyday there are alway people queuing to go in. At the high price of 900 yen and hype, I had my expectations set really high. Kaedama (2nd helping of noodles) costs usually 100 yen, but here it was 200 yen. Sadly I had better and cheaper bowls of ramen before. It does taste good though but I wouldn't go again.
Seafood pasta with squid ink.
Squid ink tastes almost like nothing, only a hint of the sea if you're really looking for the flavour.

>>16700343
>Always wanted to try ramen soup
What, just the soup?
It's really like most kinds of foods. Some versions are completely unpalatable and some are absolutely delicious, depending on which place you go to.
Ramen tends to range from "I'm eating this just to fill me up" at establishments in touristy areas to "holy shit this is amazing" served in joints where all the locals go.
>>16673733
