I'm near the end of Puppet Dance Performance, and need to finish it, but like with many things I stopped playing for months for no particular reason.

Starter is Seija, not Youmu.

I was playing the one based on FireRed a while back, but I don't really remember what I'm up to.

I finished Touhou Puppet Dance Performance: Shard of Dreams some time ago. Never finished that big tournament you unlock after finishing everything else in the game though since it just becomes like the battle frontier past a certain point, with the Ai doing everything in it's power to fuck you over, like evey single enemy having priority moves, the game's version of quick claw, ect.

Was hoping the game would be translated by now since the base game was already translated long ago, but translation seems to be eternally stuck in the "we are totally still working on it but never actually post any updates" stage so RIP.

Did the expansion pack for Puppet Dance get patched?

Then don't learn them. I beat the entire maingame with minimum knowledge of the type chart. Using attacks without knowing their effectiveness was fun.
Now, beating Johto and Mt. Silver is another matter...

Randomizing the game is fun. It was cool to work with Elis as a starter, though the beginning sucked because of low power moves.
