Yume Nikki thread
maybe you should have considered starting the thread with a more aesthetic image fitting of yume nikki instead of unfunny puke girl

I usually don't care about memes but this one is terrible.
Yume Nikki reminds me of how I used to keep track of my own dreams. I remember a time of dreaming of aliens, time loops and strange futuristic worlds frequently.

Cool dreams.
I usually dream about stupid stuff and Freud/Jung etc. shit.

Writing down your dreams helps you to remember them more often. Your brain starts to prioritize the information more.

Did she die /jp/? Or was it just another dream?
[s] Or maybe I should just go and visit Uboachan again for a speculation discussion instead of asking here [/s]

Any news about that dream vs dream fighting gamei still have some hope.

Me too mate..

i miss the nights and weekends i'd spend playing it...coming home after work, searching and searching everywhere looking for secrets. i found most of them on my own (but not the best ones), and that was going in blind.
best game experience i've had in many years. wish i could erase my memories and do it all over again.
I really gotta download 2kki again. It's been years since I last played it and they must have added a lot of interesting stuff.
i've been curious about the spinoff games, but i'm reluctant to play them. i keep thinking they're just gonna feel like cheap knockoffs with cheap thrills, that they won't have quite the same 'yume nikki' vibe.

The problem is generally people's desire for Yume Nikki to tell a story gets realized through them. That and people who think YN is in any way a horror game.
>>16537540
so i'm right....the fangames are not as 'abstract' i suppose, for lack of a better word.
Have this.
>>16537559
Though I only sampled them years ago, yeah, that'd be a way to describe them. They seem like they're intended to have meaning whereas YN seems to be up for interpretation.
But it's also been years and I have no idea what they're like now.
I get that Yume Nikki is like a Rorschach test, but is there any explanation for Uboa? I haven't heard any interpretation that isn't baseless, and I don't know what the fuck to think about it.

Uboa is a easter egg for people who decide to play with the light switch.
>>16548647
The whole game is like an easter egg.
>>16550642
I guess that's why you collect easter eggs.
Maybe the ending is really her being reborn.or a humpty dumpty reference.
I'm suddenly recalling that one dream I had a few years ago which I titled "Police vs Swamp People". It was about supernatural swamp monsters emigrating to the sewer of some city and fighting constant battles against the local badass-normal cops. I was caught between both sides and eventually found myself going on a date with a cute swamp girl who could shapeshift and warp space. I also got caught up with the police's residential OL but I don't remember that part too well.

Then it turns out she's just using you as a diplomat and once you get the humans to let their guard down she kills you?
That's what would happen in one of my dreams.
