I don't want to learn something that's basically a mess of on the spot made up rules because whoever came up with the language was too stupid to create a solid structure first.

I find the Japanese language to be at least as inconsistent and illogical as English, especially literary English which is truly a mess of obscure arbitrary rules and unexpected pronunciations. Neither one is my native language.

I always found Japanese to be reasonable as a written language. Spaces in between words would be nice, but at least it's no Arabic or Indian. I can make due with kanji, particles, and loanwords.
