Well, basically the same way you do with bike tires. Try to inflate it underwater - in a bath for instance, and look for bubbles.

Whenever softness comparisons are discussed, Tomax stuff is generally at the very bottom of the scale. They are literally making toys as soft as marshmallows. Somewhere between aspic and jelly, if I had to make another comparison.
