You can still spend hundreds of sorties grinding out drop only girls and I've never felt satisfied at the end, just hollow. The difficulty rewards need a bit of tweaking though. Medium is almost never worth it and the final map on hard should give out more than the super medal.

I like it but rewards for clearing on hard should be better again like the FuMO from Spring 15 (and that event was so easy even fairly new players did it on hard no problem). E-peen medal should require you to clear everything on hard so you can't cheese it like some people did last event.

Yup. I think in the past people had more respect for the game. They heard all the stories about IBS and later AL/MI and they were very happy just clearing two or three maps, enjoying their progress, making training or farming goals for future. I'm just remembering all the pre-selection events. I always felt like having Isokaze or Sakawa was a bigger achievement than having a new medal, to say nothing of Musashi and Yamato. I guess it's because we all dealt with essentially the same problems when it was one difficulty. If you want the girl now, you can just hit the easy button. If you stay on hard, you get a number added to your medal count. Medals don't do anything more than oppress lazy admirals and wikitrash. Hard-to-obtain girls oppress people just as much, but they also have more character than a medal.

Shipgirls are the face of KanColle, after all. I suppose that's why they added easy mode in the first place, though.

I'm not. Third node is another argument why BB shouldn't be in flagship position but in second spot instead. The only node on whole sortie where BB flagship isn't outright inferior composition is first node but even there the argument of flagship protection still stands as you want the BB to tank Ta-chan's first attack if she doesn't die at the start. Flag CA has good chance of proccing double attack and Ta flag has low enough armor that CA can nicely penetrate her.
