Now, here's a bunch which were eagerly awaited by the folks in /po/, but it turned out that the guy's scanner was mis-set and they came out too light or something. He said he'd rescan them, but I never found out if he did (and can't we just adjust the colors ourselves, anyway?).

...no
>>
Has anyone tried selling these at conventions?
I reckon you can make a pretty penny, although you'd probably need to give royalties/ask the original artist dor permission?
>>
>>16451282
Then why do they ask if I want to pay debit or credit when I buy stuff
>>
>>16452827
Strictly speaking, the answer is no, unless assembling the papercraft is "transformative" enough a creation enough to satisfy fair use, which I don't think it would be given that the purpose of papercrafts is to be assembled.

I would ask the original artist if they would mind, even if people here usually ignore that.

Practically speaking, nobody will stop you.
>>

Oh uh yeah if you can't read any of the instructions; cut as exactly as possible, use liquid glue, have a decent spreader, don't use too much, wait for individual parts to dry before putting them together.

I cannot find a way to glue the legs together, could someone lend me a hand please?

the fact that the instructions are next to non-existant gave me alot of trouble with patchy too. Maybe that flat part is the base for the pants? it looks like those triangle parts attach to the top of it.

Anyone knows how those pdfs were made?

Is there some 3D modeling software which can export in "papercraft" format?

I'll take a little break after making Mokou then I'll make the Cirno one because I already have the parts printed. I also want to try the Tewi one, I like EoSD and IN too much, specially the bunnies and the blonde girls.

you can find some lunatica's stuff in /po/ wiki

That's neat. If I understood it correctly, that software takes 3d models in some standard file format, converts them into models that could be made with paper (decreasing number of polygons?) and gives you a print out of which can be used by a paper cutting machine to cut the pieces for building the model.

I might just be retarded, but I'm going to need more precision on that. For example, what would be the key in this one?

More precision incoming:

1. Copy-paste the link into the address bar of your browser. This whole link:

https://mega.nz/#!5xJXWTKD!SP0cfVZMNkXV0gR3f2vjG5DFjWP3KzojT-GaD9CVZyY

2. Click "Download through your web browser"

3. Wait for it to get to 100%

4. At this point you will see "[Lili] - Flandre Scarlet.rar" file being saved

5. Extract the file using 7-zip, WinRAR or what have you

6. ???

7. Profit

I don't think this is a papercraft dude, it's a character created in Graffiti Kingdom.

I got good by 10 years of practice.
I've discovered papercrafts thanks to 4chan, and my first ones were really simple and badly done. Ive always liked those touhou papercrafts. As you can see i've made some of em. Too bad i dont have much free time now, nearly 2 years without making a single one
>>
>>16567226
Damn very nice, anon. I wish I had the willpower to finally get started on making a papercraft, but the thought of ruining it keeps me from even trying. It seems overwhelming for someone who isn't very good at hand making things.
>>
>>16567226
That's a lot of the ones in here anon, you even did the Mokou one I failed so hard

I sucked at papercrafts.
I did start with really simple ones, nothing more than a cube.
Then i moved to the Rozen Maiden set by Mizuiro Gakuen.
That was around 2007-2008 , when the Rozen Maiden anime made a big fuss, at last here in 4chan,lol.
Suigintou being the first and the worst made, Kirakisho and Shinku being the last and best.

You just need to have patience, and you'll master this Hobby. You'll learn by yourself the best glue to use, the best gluing technique (toothsticks!) folding tricks. etc.

It is true tho, even now, i really feel a big inertia into starting a new, complex papercrafts, especially the Touhou ones, which need color correction/trial and error in building.

Don't blame yourself, i clearly remember that some folding lines were washed out in the first copies circulating on the web. (also mine)
Another Difficult one is Reimu, the gown folding lines are fucked up , invisible. It's the worst made of the bunch.

I always had a laptop near me,with a high shopped pdf copy of the Moko or Reimu in question,it was really handy to reveal the nearly invisible folding lines.

Did you make the Cirno one? It should be easier than Mokou, I hope when I'm done with her she can at least stand up on her own

No ,but i'm really tempted to start again.
I already have Yukari printed and ready, Cirno is nice too!

Yes, if done correctly they stand on their own but they'll fall at the first gust of wind.
I always glue under their feet a little and steady base made of cardboard. It's also really handy when you are moving all your papercrafts for cleaning ,etc.

>>16569641
can't wait to see honestly.
>>
>>16430570
This looks like a good hobby to pick up. Any veteran tips on what I'll need or where to start?
>>
>>16580237
Try to make a cube head to start, it's easy enough, you don't need any fancy material and while making it you can figure out if you'll like it before making more complicated stuff.
If you decide you like it, you'll need white glue, toothpicks, heavy paper and a X-acto knife. Stick glue is useful too, but on limited occasions.
Also, prepare to be frustrated at the lack of instructions on many models.
