Alright. I have come to the conclusion that my fairy meat farm is a total failure.

Not only because the screams of sentient fairies being butchered finally hit my last remaining bit of human decency in this game, but the fact that the resistance from eating their corpses has only activated for me once and only for one pet. Even though I have no innate resistance and removed all resistance equipment before eating after like 20 fairy corpses.

So I have to ask, what should I replace them with on my ranch?
Putits for trying to make this putituro?

I'm not that far along in game. Still need to defeat the darkness story dungeon for the stone, if that means anything.

For me, the purpose of the ranch is to produce egg for my 20 large picnic basket. I eventually gave up on producing any useful meat and just used a rat for more corpse and egg.

Another good choice is to wish for Q to get quantum creature (lv 7) and breed them. Eating their corpse increase speed.

It's amazing what you do in this game without really thinking about it.

I always try to be a "good" guy in any game I play. Not a saint, but only killing enemy npcs and such. I slowly lost that.

Oh, murdering party time npcs isn't bad. They are just clones.

I was justified in killing that adventurer. I need that artifact to save the world.

Those mages attacked ME while I was trying to learn. They were asking to get a satellite cannon to the face.

Those fairies DESERVED to be enslaved, forced to breed, and slaughtered. They stole money from me and laughed! Besides those corpses will help my vendetta against the mages.

Hmm, it really depends on RNG. In the past I was getting around 200 levels every 2 weeks in rl through only wonder scroll farming. When I play Elona I play for 2 to 4 hours a day. I generally get around 400 scrolls every hour but that's also doing other things like working on my character's skills or pet. If I did nothing but scroll farming I could probably get more. That was in the past.

I'm farming wonder scrolls now but not as hardcore. I'm still making those 200 lv marks every two weeks but that's now due to a high level wish spell using less stock and the occasional wishbook find.

To answer your question I guess I can get 50 levels/descent potions in about 1-3 days? It really depends on RNG with spellbooks of wish finds and wonder scroll streaks on vendors.

A single blessed spellbook of wish can net me 50+ wishes if I'm lucky. Wish spell lv is 300+ and the stock consumed is only 20-40 each cast. Blessed spellbooks of wish gives me around 1400-2000 wish stock and wish from wonder scrolls a flat 200. Can get around 6-7 potions of descent/lvs from one wish stock ding from reading wonder scrolls.

I have over 150+ levels waiting for me in storage just from farming magic vendors while training my pets, leveling up my skills, and messing around with my character's house.

Oh no not at all. I have 100% chance to cast wish as long as I keep my armor weight in the light category. If you need to increase your chance to cast the spell you should increase your casting skill. My casting skill is capped and I did it by spamming the oracle spell whenever the potential was at 400%. Easy to stock the spell too as the spellwriter in the mage guild can reserve the book for you or you get plenty of stock from wonder scrolls.

Should probably clarify and say casting skill potential 400%. I didn't really care about the spell potential. All I cared was that the spell was increasing the skill. You'll also get lots of magic attribute gains this way. Reason why my magic attribute capped and outpaced all of my attributes despite working harder on my melee stuff.

Sorry you probably get this question a lot, but how do I get started in Elona? I've made a few characters before but never made it past level 10. This time I went with an Euldernian wizard. So far I've just been messing around in Pupper Cave, and been trying to get platinum coins to gain skills like cooking because it seems pretty useful. I'm guessing I should probably get a horse too.

Generate goals and see them through is how to get started. Getting gold and platinum for new skills are good goals. You can probably make more gold and platinum faster and sometimes safer doing job board quests. Escort quests where you play bodyguard and take an NPC to another location is good for quick gold and platinum. Just be sure the destination is a short distance from where you are so that they aren't too difficult. The easiest quests to do are the book delivery quests. Hunting quests can be done early on but it's strongly suggested you have the little girl pet out tanking and helping you kill things in them.

Once you get weight lifting and gardening you should try harvest time quests in Yowyn for gold and platinum. After you get all or almost all of the skills you can buy from normal trainers I would look into joining guilds. The mage guild is probably the most important one for you to join as you can reserve spellbooks from an NPC in that guild. This means you can tell the NPC to stock your spellbooks of your favorite spells so you can buy exactly what you want.

Last I heard riding will interfere with your chance of successfully casting spells. You can offset this but you'll have to work harder to do it. Last misc advice is to make use of the wiki for concepts or things you want more info about. Look at the pastebin since there is a newbie guide in there and possibly other useful info.

Mani doesn't think much of the other gods and he certainly isn't well liked by most of them either. Probably the most disliked god of the group. Even Itzpalt managed to make some friends Mani.
Lulwy has a number of dislikes too. I certainly don't care much for Lulwy either. Probably my hardest god fight for Kai. I remember Torte Shortbread, player which I learned a lot from, didn't like Mani and made it Torte's mission to put him down.

Opatos and Lulwy really don't like each other but that makes sense for earth and wind not to get along. Kumiromi and Ehekatl have the least amount of friction in their dealings with the other gods it seems.

Lulwy fell in love with the mortal Mani. From what I've heard from other anons, when Mani became a god he lost his memory of Lulwy. That certainly made Lulwy unhappy. Other anons have also said that at one time Mani may have been a worshiper of Lulwy and somehow tricked the goddess into making Mani a god. Probably playing on her feelings or something like that. Naturally that would cause resentment. Regardless of how he really felt about Lulwy before he was a god, he lost his memory of her and both are hostile to each other now.

At any rate, Lulwy is definitely mad at Mani and one of her dialogue pieces when you worship her is to not mention Mani as it upsets her.

Is it me, or do vegetables have the worst time selling in food shops? Also, does food on sale ever go off, or does it stay fresh up until the point you try to leave the shop with it? Some people have been having issues wherein certain fruits/vegetables simply do not sell. At all. For me it's carrots and sweet potato.

Food items normally rot when they don't have any freshness points left. This is checked very hour on the hour. Items on the store floor are given a pass.
If you're able to move between stores in less than an hour and time it right, you should in theory be able to move month-old produce from one store to another with no issues.

-Lulwy and Human Mani were lovers, Mani lost his memories after getting her to promote him to deity status and now they hate each other
-Eyth probably existed, fucked off to who knows where after the great Mani and Lulwy fiasco (either died as a result, or ascended to elder god status)

I suppose it depends on what you want. You're already gimping yourself playing a snail, so I assume you wouldn't want to give yourself a bunch of leg and ring slots for easy speed boosts.

Maybe a head slot for sage's helm give yourself several body slots and weigh yourself down with plate armor, neck slot for the necklaces that boost the number of attacks and so on. Were you planning on focusing on melee? Magic? Shooting?

Speed is not an issue, I have inherited few hundreds of herbed curaria and is now around the same speed with the usual race.

I'm currently thinking of playing as a snail with multiple chest because snail is supposed to be heavily armored, and multiple hand because snail seems like having multiple tentacle.

Leg - for seven league boots
Ring - for 1 aurora ring
Body x 2/3/4 - for multiple armor pieces

I'd argue the best item for the neck slot is actually the associated ether disease, which gives level-scaling PV at the cost of charisma penalty. This is also true for the Feet and Back slots which give scaling Speed.

tl;dr: don't get those slots if you have a choice, and it's worth getting the disease even if you start with them.

How the fuck do all these incredibly dangerous monsters keep getting summoned in Vernis? Can cursed equipment do that? I know it's not me or my pets, at least. You might as well tear through all the floors of a dungeon to try find any big daddies, since they can spawn in the boss room, and if its not there, you might as well kill the boss before you leave. As far as I know, there's no real way to tell where to find Big daddies, other than to just explore every dungeon you can and hope for the best.

Perhaps get a statue of opatos as soon as you can to reset random genned dungeons so you don't have to go too far out of your way for new ones. That's the only thing I could think of to really speed it up.

I went to the Holy Well for the first time using a brand new character and it was dry. Is that normal?

My performer level is around 60 , but even though i boosted the potential to 380 it's still slow as hell to train. I tried using an instrument in my shop and got only 0.002 points. Will it train better in little sister mansion ? Would it train better if i used the skill instead of using an instrument ?

A few weeks ago there was some talk about the secret exp of kumi and whether it would delay gaining a feat from leveling, I can confirm that it does not.

Is there an order for what feats you should focus on getting as a Claymore?

Probably won't be able to upgrade my mech for awhile since I'm training magical girl Mai but it will be there hanging out in the workshop of my house. While I'm training Mai I'll ponder what kind of slots to give the mech(ride cleric) and the automated weapons system(Xeren auto tank). Might swap the Xeren auto tank out for another pet but we'll see.

For the three characters I've had I've always rushed getting the feats that increase speed, HP, and MP. After that I branch out into special actions that I find useful. You can get all the feats in the game so I wouldn't worry too much about screwing up feat selection.

I have my previous character playing advanced mode backed up. I could always go back to playing my character's father if something should happen. Didn't really expect my inferno character to get as far as he did but it happened. Would like to wrap up things here in Elona and accomplish my goals before Elin actually becomes a game. Altered its sprite though. Original sprite shows that it has a cockpit so I created a sprite that enlarges the robot and puts my character in it. I also have a xeren auto tank that assists me. So I'm taking advantage of both riding and tagging. Several benefits from doing both.

The mount has its own HP bar and usually that is the first to be depleted before your own. Tagging allows for your whatever you're tagged to to also sometimes bear the damage. So I get additional protection from that. I might swap out something for living armor or some pet with the carmor or cmetal bit for the damage reduction it gives but for now I'm content with what I have.

Also, your ride and tagged partner act independently of you as far as attacks go. So they can do their own thing while you do yours. Can run some interesting attack patterns that way. Also, if it works the way I think it does, it's a way to get around certain hindrances of certain pets with a complicated body. I can load up a pet with a ton of slots if I wanted to, tag it to my character, and then ride a very fast creature. The mount might nix the speed penalty of the aforementioned since I just use the mount speed.

The reason why Elga in my picture says it's Magitech Armor MkI is because I intend to play with certain mech body setups. Elga is going to be busy. Perhaps I'll have different mechs/sprites that focus on certain things. Like a multi handed mech that focuses on unarmed attacks that augments my own.

My goal is to become the strongest creature in the game with the potential side mission of seeing if there is a supposed bottom to the void.

A long time ago in vanilla Elona on the website for the game, before Elona+ was a thing, someone mentioned void floor 6,666 being the bottom. I didn't pay much attention to it then as I was just starting the game and had no idea what the void even was. After I got better at the game and started to access the void myself I would rarely hop into chat when it was a thing or find some discussion about the void and hear others talk about the bottom.

Further inquiries on the matter all wound up with, 'I don't know that's just what I heard." and, "There isn't a bottom to the void." So I pretty much dismissed the idea that there is a bottom but the number 6,666 is an interesting number. Aside from being edgy my previous character got to that level, the rumored level cap, and I found it wasn't the cap. It however can be considered the soft cap because all gained exp from then on is extremely small. So descent potions are your best bet. So this soft level cap makes me wonder if the number 6,666 is a special number in the void as well.

My gut tells me it's not the bottom floor but I may be wrong. At the very least, I want to reach a point in the void where all the monsters are capped out. The goal then for me is to be some powerful that I can wade through those monsters and kill them with ease or at least survive. It's then that I know I've reached my goal of being the strongest. Then I can retire my character/the game and he go chill in his fully decked out home/base with his harem only busting him out to do additional content made by Ano or other players.

The rumor of a bottom floor to the void works perfectly for my character's story. It wouldn't be so odd hearing stories around a campfire with other void adventurers talking about what waits for you at the bottom. Wealth beyond your imagination? Power source of the gods? The secret of life? The root of all evil? Heaven? Hell? Plenty of adventurers have died in the void or if they manage to make it out are changed.

Latest versions of elona + have the ability to form tag teams with your pets, where they can occupy the same tile as either you or another of your pets. They share pickups and gold, and have a chance of blocking damage for each other as well.

In the case of the player character, you can be riding a pet and have a second pet form a tag team with you as well, effectively having three characters sharing the same tile. This essentially means that both pets can now take hits for you, lessening the damage you take.

I'm certainly not Kai, but I've been using tag organization to keep track of pets better, hopefully have a stronger pet keep a weaker one alive, and making it easier to give my pets money in the form of dropping ores for them. When pets pick up ores to sell later in town, they share the gold with whoever's tagged with them, so they can both have some spending money for training.

Likely because the game doesn't have permadeath by default, and that it was years before it was even an option. It's not a proper rogue-like by their opinion, but then I wouldn't categorize it as a rogue-lite myself.

In my mind, it is its own game, and I struggle to find a fitting genre to call it whenever I try to introduce it to someone, so its probably better off like this.

And I know what you mean, being able to go full asura mode with ranged weapons would be fairly amazing, probably fairly broken as well. Especially given that most range weapons seem two handed, save pistols, laser guns (I'd probably rule out the <Rail-gun>) and maybe some of the crossbows. Trying to 50 guns in 50 hands sounds reasonable enough, but the mental image somewhat falls apart when you're trying to wield as many bows at once.

Then again, you're somewhat in the same boat as mages. They can wield a whole lot of magic staffs, but, they can only get the "It enhances your spells" bonus from whichever one has the highest number, and even then, you can only cast one spell per turn.

Going back a bit, I'd like to see a wishlist of things to add to the game. I'd love to see a shoot slot throwing item that was some form of potion, that relied on alchemy to boost damage. It seems strange we've had a grenade throwing weapon for ages, that is somehow repeatedly reusable, but we don't have the same for potions. (Granted, npcs can get potion throw and greater potion throw, but they certainly don't need to carry around a massive stockpile of potions to throw)

I don't care if it wouldn't have random potion effects, I just want a throwing potion weapon. We've got panties and grenades and shuriken, so, why not?

While herbs can raise potential it's not good at doing that than a blessed potion of potential(for the player) or visiting a trainer(for the pet). Herbs are great for actually leveling attributes. So for a pet, give it gold and have it visit its trainer to raise its attribute and skill potentials. Then feed it herbs to level up the attributes.

More is always good but don't get to the point where your character has no spending money for themselves of course. See how much your pet needs to get everything to superb and 400 potential for skills. Go to evochat, give it gold, have it visit its trainer for awhile, then check in with the informer to look at the pets attribute and skill potentials. You can kind of get an idea of the price tag to get everything at peak performance by doing that. If the pet doesn't visit its trainer it means it ran out of gold and you need to give it more.

The last time a god got mad my house was flooded with dragons, etherwind, and tornadoes. This was right after beams from heaven and cat shrieks obliterated me and all my pets. Lulwy got upset with Ehekatl for some reason and the two fought. House became uninhabitable since I couldn't stay too long without getting killed by them or the things they spawned. My house was practically falling apart because Ehekatl was chasing Lulwy while Lulwy broke down walls to escape.

Having said that, it's been a long time since I've had the music for the game turned on. Got to level up the casting skill to get your casting chance up. Also make sure you unequip things if you have to to put yourself in the light weight category for increased cast chance. Magic device is used for rods so that needs to be high. Saved up my rods and spellbooks when I didn't have the skills high enough and just relied on wells. Although for wells you have to wait for years to pass to refresh when you can wish from them.

If wishing for a god to come down you can just wait until November, go to the truce grounds, pray with a favor of 4025 or more, and the god you're worshiping at the time will appear. No wish needed.

They'll wreck the place. Picture is of my previous character that fought all the gods at the truce grounds. All those rotted corpses are either god remains or the twin tails and other animals that were unfortunate to wind up in the crossfire. Craters and walls brought down were from gods chasing me or Ragnarok. I came to find the ruined truce grounds kind of endearing after awhile though. If you don't want to ruin your truce grounds you'll have to fight them somewhere else preferably in a non static place.

Yeah the wait time is pretty long but I guess it worked out for me. I pretty much used that time to get enough of the stuff to earn the amount of favor needed to bring them forth or began work on amassing the items for the next god in that time. Also had plenty of other things to do in the meantime anyhow from getting platinum to getting herb seeds.

I personally haven't dumped a single bonus point into my spells. With the ability to attend magic classes and just leveling things naturally I got pretty far with most of my spells. I'm aware you can't train wish through magic classes but I got pretty far just leveling it up naturally. My bonus points have all gone to skills but I may put bonus points into my spells later once I cap the essential skills for my build.

If you're having problems with cast chance wouldn't raising your casting skill be a better use of your bonus points? I mean using less stock is nice and all but if you fail to cast it you're losing precious stock. I would work on the casting skill first before leveling the wish spell and using bonus points on it.

You get a decent amount of wishes at low level of wish. The amount of stock used slowly goes down as you level it. Keep in mind though that the stock you use up has variance to it. One cast you may use up 50 while another you might only use 36. The range of stock used will go down but don't expect any miraculous change in stock use from putting a couple of levels into wish. It's an ongoing process that you chip away at.

Depends entirely on how you do it. Snail with a not-tourist class and a pet is mostly the same as a not-snail gardener or not-snail pianist.

The push into ST isn't that bad, and you can pretty trivially dash straight to the body-part doc and pick up the slots you need.
Not having full slots does sorta suck, but you can compensate by having a couple resist sets that you swap between based on whatever you really need at the time.

I made a PeriTune pack since that's who Noa's using for Elin. It sounds a lot nicer than vanilla midi files, that's for sure.

What's the max enchantment armor or weapons can have? The beginner pastebin says to get your gear to +3 ASAP, which I thought was the max, but scrolls of enchantment can raise gear to a max of 4 or 5? Yet at the same time, if I go to a blacksmith, I can just pay to pump my weapon from +3 to +4.

This seems like a dumb question with an obvious answer, but putting a melee weapon/claw into the ranged slot don't ruin the 8 strikes in unarmed combat, right ?

Blacksmith can go to +10, higher than blessed greater enchant scroll, but if the item is a living weapon you can choose the enchant option and go higher than +10 ( don't forget to make it immune to acid if not already, such over enchanted modifier can and WILL be lost if struck with acid ! ).

It doesn't ruin it. Can actually help it out too if you put something like the smash tonfa in your shoot slot. Starting out I put the shield tonfa in my shoot slot, then moved on to put the smash tonfa in the shoot slot, and now I finally have the god breaker in the shoot slot mainly to prop up my strength. Can also put a resist stick, living weapon with lots of resists, in your shoot slot to cover resist holes too.

While my punches do a lot of damage, it's kind of neat having a weapon you can throw as a range option since it too also uses the tactics skill. So if I throw this axe it does 2d200+305 x 139.2 damage

The one you get from mutations are unaffected by that dream but the mutation dream can alter them.

The feat resists, corpse resists, mutation resists, and racial resists all stack.

A word of warning though: There's a bug where the dream that removes a corpse resist can remove a racial resist, and you can't ever get those back. I personally feel corpse resists aren't worth the risk if you have racial resists.

Never mind. Do not try to teach your pets spells, go to the puppy cave, equip fetter of earth and rest.

Looking at the experience sheet, there's lot of skill that are limited early.
Take weight lifting, it only gives 4 points, so once you reach 151 you can't gain even 0.001 point anymore at 400% potential. For this one though, this may be a good thing to have a clear point where you don't need to overburden yourself constantly anymore.

Thanks Yacatect for the traveling skills and it's 50 points enabling levelling up to 1991.
