>Fuck, newer (doujincore) sure loved his mp3 v2 and m4a and whatever the hell too.
and look how many horrible mpc transcodes are floating around from his rips, and look at how many of the things he uploaded don't have lossless publicly.
Uploading lossy only rips is not only shitty now, but it means almost all downloads in the future for those albums will be shitty too, since doujin albums rarely get uploaded by more than 1 source, since everyone else already sees a rip uploaded.

It's because I attach Replay Gain info on all my uploads, if you're using foobar add a pre-amp of about +9 to all music with ReplayGain information to permanently fix the problem.
>>
>>16377394
But...why?
>>
>>16377394
Not that anon, but that makes sense now. Also, I didn't know about the preamp feature for foobar, cool.

>>16377443
So that music in your library is around the same volume.
>>
>>16377443

Because they're an elitist faglord who wants to degrade the quality of available rips.
>>
>That remix of Hello Happiness by Camellia on DECORATORZ

Holy shit Camellia totally owned this song. It's like he used everything he learned from Routing and dialed it to 11.
The final chorus violin and sax really solidified it. He needs to do more music in this style.
>>
>>16377443
Ripping like I always have personally, I like having my stuff at same volume. If you have any old mp3 or flac rips with RG info on probably a fair chance they were mine too. (Sorry)

>>16377478
RG is a metadata tag that says "play this album Xdb louder/quieter", doesn't actually modify the audio data.

anyone has the best of t+pazolite album?

there are 2 new songs in this album that are absolutely perfect, unfortunately they're not available online, only a minte preview is available on t+pazolite's soundcloud.
>>
>>16378014
>2 new songs
Actually nearly all the songs on it are redone/reworked version of their originals.
>>
Is there a way to donate to rippers for them to work faster? I dislike waiting a week or two for shinigiwa satellite to get ripped whenever they release, but I don't want to be the one to do it personally because I release too much pirated material as it is.
>>
>>16378044
Seriously? holy shit
i was absolutely thrilled by the Kobaryo's remix, but if everything is redone then it might be even better than i thought
>>
>>16378057
Listen carefully to 500 tortures, the Tsundere song, etc

Might not be all of them but certainly those two are reworked
>>
>>16378061
some ar e worse though, in its a 10 bats the voice is more proheminent for exemple, which is not a good thing
>>
>>16378055
So you want to pay people for posting albums... instead of buying said albums? That's some dojin.co retarded shit.
>>
>>16378186
No, dojin.co is literal commercial piracy. One person paying another to rip something for everyone is very different from a platform demanding payments from individuals for access.
>>
>>16378200
Not him, but dude. Instead of giving someone money just wait or save up and buy the albums yourself, I don't get where that idea even came from.
>>
>>16378055
Most rippers don't actually go to Comiket, they just order stuff from stores or use event proxies, so it takes a few weeks to even get their packages. I don't think paying somebody would speed it up much for most people, though I guess if you could find somebody in Japan to buy and rip it for you that would work.
>>
>>16378298
Wouldn't they get in trouble? Japan is very strict on the copyright laws.
>>
>>16378298
I am honestly surprised that someone isn't filthy rich from buying and ripping everything off of these events.

>>
>>16378312

>>
>>16378312
From what I've seen, mostly only major uploaders of mainstream stuff (j-pop, anime, movies, dramas) get targeted. Never heard of a foreigner getting in trouble for it, I guess it could happen though.

>>
>all these youtube quality tier rips

I thought you guys where supposed to be autists, I'm disappointed.

Stop wasting your time reencoding and just upload the raw wav + cue.
>>
>>16379606
Raw wav + cue is a waste of bandwidth. If you want archival quality rips just encode them to a lossless format with compression (FLAC) and be done with it.
>>
>>16379606
Autism is dead.
>>
>>16379606

(why did you use Nero's AAC encoder, that's like the 3rd worst one out there?)
>>
>>16380823
Not the ripper in question, but I thought nero was considered the best. Which ones are superior to it?
>>
>>16380913
Nero is 3rd, FDK (the one used in Android but different from Winamp's) is 2nd, and Apple AAC is 1st. You can encode with Apple AAC using qaac and foobar, but you have to install iTunes to get the actual codec first.

>>
We need to get a server for this shit ala madokami and just upload it all there.

Not like dojin.co which if it was garbage before is now absolute gutter trash.

You all seem to hate Doujinstyle, 9Tensu and dojin.co, but why? I got to all of these sites to download music but never spent a cent. If you're mad about them sharing your uploads you shouldn't upload!
>>
>>16382989
Nobody hates DS (for the most part), people hate dojin.co and 9tensu because they make money off people's uploads.
>>
>>16382989
dojin.co and 9tensu sap users away from non-destructive platforms
>>
>>16382989
Nobody hates DS.

Dojew.co is attempting to force users to pay to access the site and 9tenjew first renames other people's uploads to horrific things then forces you to look at ads, which makes them money.
>>
>>16382989

Jewtens takes other peoples' uploads and ads up their site to make money while doing no work. They also paste their shitty name on other peoples' work to try and make more free money.

Dojin.co I was using for a little bit until they started trying to charge for use of their site, which then falls into the same reason Jewtens can suck a fat one, though they both probably already are. Also I like having lossless for archiving purposes.

No problems with DS here.
>>
>>16383166
Are they charging for use though? I never got +1 downloads for downloading anything.
>>
>>16382989
I hate 9T because they put advertisements in the ID3 tags, so I have to spend that much more work cleaning up my downloads. I have to deal with layers and layers of forwarding, often to sites which are blocked in /etc/hosts for good reason. Recently I've found a few 9T uploads which are accompanied by a direct mega link in the description, so that's better, and the DS admins have been good about making the 9T uploader(s?) put direct links in their posts, so I don't have to deal with it too much.

I hate dojin.co because it's a clusterfuck of masturbatory web design. The single time I used it, it was able to display a whopping six albums on my 2560x1440 monitor, and it wouldn't even tell me the titles. It was slow as shit, I couldn't save search links for later use, and the search interface was complete fucking garbage. 9T's ads and redirects were irritating, but they were irritation with a clear benefit to somebody in the world, like a mugging. There was no benefit to anybody from dojin.co's design. It was like watching a drunk man punching himself in the face, repeatedly, then vomiting on my shoes. The creator spent much time and effort to make it. I spent (less) time and effort determining that it was garbage. My computer ran half a degree hotter rendering the stupid fucking fade-ins. The server ran a bit slower because I guarantee you the site was in rails or some other stupid, inefficient framework. Everybody's internet ran a little bit slower because they decided to use 500x500 png files instead of the A FEW BYTES OF UTF-8 for the NAME OF THE FUCKING ALBUM.

DS is fine.
>>
>>16383175
Earlier this year they briefly instated a "you cannot download anything unless you contribute a C91 album or donate" policy but they quickly reversed that because you could get the download links anyway by pressing "inspect element" or the "edit album" button.

Vermillongrey is a fucking dumbass.
>>

What he's saying is that some doujin enthusiasts aren't good with their money. A small car is a pretty large purchase, so putting the amount of money you'd need for that into doujin goods wouldn't be too smart. You could buy a load of actually important things with that kind of money.

How good is the A-one Eurobeat album?
>>
>>16385485
Toho Eurobeat Vol.14? Very solid. The A-ONE crew have pretty much perfected the recipe on Touhou eurobeat tracks at this point, so all the tracks are good but can feel a bit formulaic. The first and last tracks by Yassie & ELEMENTAS however aren't actually eurobeat at all so that was a suprise that provides some unexpected variation.

Don't want to sound like I'm wearing a tinfoil hat but mega isn't exactly safe to post you stuff there, what with Dotcom getting arrested now.

I just thought it'd be nice to have everything in one place as opposed to having it spread around multiple people's MEGA accounts.
>>
>>16386162
dotcom hasn't had anything to do with MEGA in awhile, then fired him because he didn't do anything except start drama and get them in trouble.
>>
>>16386261
>In July 2015, Dotcom said he doesn't trust Mega service in a Q&A session with tech website Slashdot, claims the company had "suffered from a hostile takeover by a Chinese investor who is wanted in China for fraud" and that the New Zealand government seized this investor's shares and now has control of the site.
Amazing.
>>
>>16386278
I think this was mostly discredited, Dotcom obviously isn't going to say nice things about them since they basically kicked him out, I really wouldn't trust anything that comes out of his mouth. >>
>>16382989
dojin.co is bad because they want to charge for what may as well be a spreadsheet with mega.nz links.

And they let randos get imaginary internet points for reposting stuff that I ripped so fuck them
>>
>>16387619
That is without counting the fact that they make money off spreading actual artists' works without owning the right to do so from the author.
>>
Is there a reason why people only upload irrelevant shit and nothing good? Do they crack down on the popular stuff or what?
>>
>>16382989
Doujin.co has to be the worst site I've ever saw, design-wise. It's fucking hell to find anything there, and it's confusing when it could be much simlpes, more useful and more beautiful.
>>
>>16387648
Yuuhei NEETs is up. It's not amazing but I really like it.
>>
>>16387648
Huh? Who cracks down on it? The Doujin artists? Zun? What...
>>
>>16387648
I personally buy more unknown albums because
1) there's a good chance no one else is going to buy them
2) the bigger the circle, the higher the chance someone else will buy it and upload it so there's no point in me purchasing it if I only sort of want it
Of course you run into the issue of "no one buys the big circle's shit because they follow the same mindset", but what can you do.

>>16387658
Honestly it's just a pain in the ass to stand in the huge lines to get them... I'd rather order them and get them a month later.
>>
>>16387658
I really appreciate it when people do this. So many circles appear and disappear that there's a real risk of completely missing a circle you'd enjoy, even if you stay on top of everything that's uploaded. Some of my favorites would never have reached my attention if people stuck to big names.
>>
>>16387658
Back when I went to Reitaisai, I knew practically nothing of the Touhou doujin scene (and I still don't know much). All I knew is that I needed to get the ZUN album as a commemoration and the NEETs' fourth orchestral album. The rest was me going from stand to stand looking at stuff and buying what sounded interesting. I regret some of my purchases which ended being horrible stuff but I got a particularly cool album that, I think, still hasn't been uploaded since then and that I'm listening to as soon as possible. Actually, it's probably the one album I bought there that I'm listening to the most.

But buying unknown albums without checking will more often that not end in regrets, especially since at that time I wanted to buy a particularly impressive artbook drawn "Japanese legends" style showing the plots for the 5 PC-98 games that could be spread over 13 meters! But because I wasn't sure I had enough money for it all, I decided not to purchase it I'm really regretting it even now because of the money I put into worthless CDs.
>>
>>16387762
Well, there's a bit of a difference between buying something blindly and following releases from small, unpopular circles. Your situation is understandable since you went in without really knowing the doujin scene. Over time I've discovered what sort of genres I like, found new circles through circles I already knew about retweeting upcoming releases, all that kinda stuff.

You can resell the albums if you dislike them that much though. You might not get all your money back but it won't be as if it was a complete and total waste.
>>
>>16387809
Those are of very bad quality and I even got a CD that wasn't supposed to be for sale originally sold to me (guess the artists were jewing a bit) and they didn't cost me THAT much (perhaps 500 per CD). I llve in the middle of nowhere in my home country which is mostly disinterested in Touhou, it'd be a pain in the ass to sell and even if I were to sell it, it'd take too much money from the person I'm selling it to than I deem acceptable to pay for this music.

So they rot in my home and they won't move from there.
>>
I know it's a longshot by does anyone have a missing 6th track of MILDE-SORTE ~constructed minds~ or a whole CD in lossless?
>>
>>16387846
While we don't have something like mandarake or suruga-ya, you can always try selling them on ebay or amazon. You wouldn't think it but people do sell doujin albums on there.

What albums would you be thinking of getting rid of anyway?
>>
Geez, suddenly the thread explodes when I'm trying to get comfy, well alright.

>>16387597
No but maybe some.

I have a complicated self-determined moral code with this shit, but to try and keep it short: I'll happily share a transparent lossy rip with anyone, but for lossless I only upload for fellow buyfags who actually support circles once in a while.
However, since the damage from shitty transcodes is already done to shitholes such as 9ten and dojin.co [pro tip, look for the 48khz "mp3 320k" rips] my attitude to sharing lossless is more positive, but I have no intention of putting them all up. So that's why I just put stuff up in that flac dir instead of trying to do some cool kids secret club temporary links with those requests I got.

>>16387606
Vocaloid section at comiket is generally a shithole. I browsed it for over an hour last year and regret almost all of those purchases and the time spent. For some reason there's just a handful of really good circles and the rest are outright awful. I know 3'O Clock had a table but I didn't get around to them, and HSP was in the doujin section, don't think he had a new CD out. I bought his book though. As for the question I dunno about the vocaloid scene, wouldn't surprise me if they're contained away from the rest of us somewhere, ripping scene and all.

>>16387619
>>16387636
This. I actually bothered listing my selfrips on that site in the early days - a mistake. Suppose it was obvious it'd be a shithole from vermillion's insistence on MP3.

>>16387648
My taste is quite heavily in the Prog Trance/House, DNB, Chill & EDM section. If you're waiting around for circles in different genres you might get what you want when the DS buyfags imports arrive and they start ripping.

>>16387658
and also you can just go into toranoana / melonbooks / 2hu basement place / Akiba Hobby (my fave shop btw, love their setup in there) / Diverse Direct and buy them at any time for the whole following month or two, too.

>>16387676
Was another one sorry dude, the other buyfags on server haven't been very active yet, I'm hoping they step it up when they get back home (i'll figure out who to harass about this for you). Only Halozy album I liked was Heartcore Forte, none of their other stuff has really been my thing.

>>16387709
huge lines? music? what? Does this ever actually happen lol. Then again I haven't seen what Diverse System et al are like first thing in the morning. Never had any problems visiting those tables in the afternoon.

>>16387710
I always buy debut albums that are not-terrible, even when they're not really my thing. It's how I found puniden at C89. This year I really liked Console by Central Garden, I think Xidic has a ton of potential, definitely one to watch, even if their CD was a fucking data disk with wav files on it.

There are also some circles who have just given in to melancholy and that's just so fucking sad to see. Like fromadistance/spctrm's recent blog posts. The R-M-T guy is like that too. And there are some that just never got any attention so stopped, like camphor. If I like a minor circle I try my best to be encouraging.
>>
>>16387884
I don't have them there so I can't tell you the titles and they're not really albums, just mini-albums or singles and not many, just 2 or 3. Like I said, it's only a "big" deal because I missed the artbook, not because of the albums themselves. Nothing to get a twist over.
>>
>>16387895
You said you regretted your purchases so I gave you some suggestions. You don't need to get in such a twist over it either.

1. m4a is a container, not a codec
2. if you mean aac, yes, aac is slightly better than mp3 especially in lower bitrates
3. it depends on the bitrates, itunes vbr (265kbps~ target) aac is same quality or better than v0; v0 is better than 256 cbr aac for example
4. the aac files from cob are below 150kbps and are obviously not as good as v0

I know, "buy it lol" "beggars can't be choosers" etc. But the people who are sharing *their own rips* in some intentionally shitty format are just being assholes. You might as well not post your rips if you're going to be that way.
>>
>>16392931
I personally steal off dojin.co, so if you've got any problems sue them so people aren't tempted to drop shit v0s as much.

I just purchased it. Irritatingly, I only got an mp3 zip, even though they have a FLAC somewhere. Give me a minute to upload it (I want to make sure the tags aren't all mojibake'd).
>>
>>16392931
I would consider anyone sharing MP3 as using intentionally shitty format, especially the 320k placebo.
I would prefer if more people used vorbis or opus and stopped caring about some shitty ipod compatibility
>>

I'd prefer my player to get 12 hours of battery life instead of 6, thank you very much. If we have lossless, we can all convert to whatever form we want.

You wouldn't have to worry about battery if you just stayed at home! I would prefer lossless uploads as well but as you may have noticed they aren't going to upload them.

Here are the mp3s: https://mega.nz/#!UxgzVAST!F7aAjGtoTXcINcWVt9faMahBu_WSg-V2dZSVKW8x3x4

I don't read Japanese, but Google translate says that they are preparing FLAC downloads, and that the code for FLAC downloads is on the album cover. I'm not sure if the Scans/ directory in this zip file also includes that code, but if it might.

How do I transcode opus to mp3 without fucking anything up?What options etc.? I want to play them from my old ass iphone that doesn't support anything else.
>>
>>16401701
ffmpeg -i <track.opus> -c:a libmp3lame -b:a 192k -y <track.mp3>
>>

You can't.

>How do I transcode opus to mp3 without fucking anything up?

You can't transcode opus to mp3 without losing even more quality (from the already abysmal quality it was uploaded in). Doing lossy to lossy transcodes is very bad. You're now seeing one of the real life effects of the people here posting meme formats like opus instead of normal FLACs.

Seriously, uploaders, do not bother sharing if you can't provide legit lossless rips.

>(from the already abysmal quality it was uploaded in).
Opus is transparent at 192, I've encoded at 220 vbr. Was originally 300vbr but people batched at me for being too placebo.

>>16401701
Anyway on a serious note just visit my mp3 v2 folder and click on the album names to grab the zip. This is better than anything you'd get with transcoding the opus.

either this >>16401711
or use a program that can do it for you (foobar right-click > convert, audacity export audio as mp3). either way you'll have to point it at a LAME (mp3) encoder file which you can google for.

as others have mentioned converting these 200something kpbs opus files to mp3 will definitely downgrade the quality, but it might not be noticeable if you're just using earbuds or a car radio with your phone.

get the fuck out with your garbage rips and uploads, what is even going on nowadays, FUCK

>Opus is transparent at 192
Not necessarily, I was able to distinguish opus files encoded at ~230kbps from their lossless sources in blind AB-tests and I didn't have to look particularly hard for tracks that still had artifacts above 200kbps (Elisa - euphoric field comes to mind, that song has some percussion in the beginning that needs fairly high bitrates until it finally becomes transparent), so I wouldn't call a 300kbps encode "placebo", though of course the quality is far from abysmal like the other anon suggested.

You can say "transparent" and "placebo" all you want - it might be true for your ipod earbuds and laptop speakers - but it doesn't change the fact that you are doing a DISSERVICE to the entire community by uploading this low quality garbage.

Share lossless or don't share. Don't be an asshole about it and flaunt having a CD feast if you only intend to hand out lossy breadcrumbs.

We'll find the music elsewhere if need be. Heck, /jp/ could even start organizing group buys next time.

some of the albums I got from somewhere are super fucking quiet

is this another meme like opus?

top kek
Just copy/paste the music files from the CD to your PC, sounds exactly the same.

for future rips, please don't use windows or sjis encoding, use utf-8

dont worry too much about that. if you have the option to choose then choose utf-8. choosing something else can garble up the filenames for people
