Somewhat relevant, but since it's a fan-animation thread, I might as well ask here:
1)What's the best software to use for these things?
2)What's the average time taken to do, say, five seconds of animation?
Assume that I don't know shit about any of this; to put it in a way, 'explain like I'm five'.

Consider if you want 30 fps, you need 30 frames for every second. If you want 10fps that's still 50 frames. It then takes the length of time it takes you to put together 50 frames.

there are still probably going to be shortcuts, or frames where nothing moves, but yeah it ain't easy. All I know is the most detailed stuff are the keyframes, where movement must be clear or something
