Is it beneficial to keep the Etherwind disease where you get wings, as a mutant? I don't have a cloak slot yet, and it's a good chunk of speed. But it's still an ether disease, so I don't know how much it'll progress and such.

You can have up until 19 disease. at 20 you will die , the potion erases the last 2 or 3 so you have complete freedom over what you want to keep. You can just consider it a blessing , then savescum to avoid getting a cloak slot.

Finally got the last god pet, had to preach for a bit to get enough faith but it was at 79 already, lucky me.

Now to get the last god rewards, settle down on a god (being a whizzard 'n shiet i'd say Itzpalt but mostly for the special action since my resistances to fire ice and lighting are very good already, dunno if there are better choices), get all the pets up to level 80, gear them up, teach them new tricks via Custom AI, make a shop for the little girl and kill Zeome.

WEW! And that's not factoring the inevitable "century of grind" with the final god rewards to get stats and skills up good and proper as the Super Servant Squad goes killing stuff.

Speaking of Custom, the custom AI is rapidly showing it's limits, both in the amount of instructions AND the lack of things like GOTO commands. Would be great to have pets behaving smartly like "if MP is low switch to melee/ranged combat" (goto helps here because otherwise you run out of instructions) or "if there are more than 10 enemies and no allies within 3 tiles use a AoE spell" (needs ability to create a list of entities) or "try every spell on the target, then stick to the most effective one" (again, a list).

Having pet AI become a full fledged Lua (or similar) program would be tits.
For possible balance i'd say that the pet can only read [floor(LER/x)] lines of code every action (meaning that a big or poorly constructed program could take multiple actions to be elaborated before the pet can act at all)

You can have at maximum 15 pets in your "list" (assuming high enough charisma). Sending them to town doesn't remove them from such "list", you need to either:

Violent Garden seems to do ok damage and the additional poison damage is nothing to write home about but what I like most about the ability is that it's a ranged bind attack that affects everyone you can see. Great for ranged users that want to kite or to reposition. Also great for making an opponent sit still so you can apply every debuff imaginable. So you use violent garden, shoot off a couple of bullets or spells, and if they begin moving just rebind them again with violent garden.

You have to get to the bottom of Lesimas to fight him. He is known to be very annoying for anyone below around level 35 since he casts Cure of Jua at low health.

You can cheese the fight with bells wielding sniper rifles though.

For the potential is best to drink blessed potions of potential. Then you eat the herbs for maximum effects.

You can get these potions by buying them from a magic shop, finding them in dungeons or crafting them with alchemy.

They cost like 100k gold each, on top of the 100s of Ks of gold it takes to level magic shops to the point they have them regularly, and alchemy is a bitch to level. I had a stack of like 30 blessed scrolls of gain material, hardly got me enough to make 8 potions.

There's a number of corpses that are always valuable, additionally, some body parts sell very well as you kill higher level monsters.
Heavy corpses (20s+) are as good as preferred god gifts for sacrifices, most monsters are specifically good at increasing certain stats. Hand of X for strength, Quicklings for speed and so on.

How bad are the penalties for death of a pet? All my pets have been relatively sturdy except my fox brother.

He kills just about everything with magic dart, but any spell or elemental attack that hits him takes him out in 1 or 2 hits. I would say it's the fact that his equipment sucks, but frankly I only just found resist equipment for myself. Do Fox Brothers just have crappy life?

He has died like 5 times in one gaming session so far. Is he too far gone to save?

This. Blessed potions of potential really should be used to recover attribute potential. The herbs should be used to train it/level it up. At first, attribute growth purely by herbed in curarias will be pretty powerful but it eventually slows down. Later you really need to know how to grind out your skills and use the herbed in stuff on top of it to level up attributes.

Strange, I didn't find alchemy that hard to level to get to the point where you could create potions of potential. Are you keeping the skill potential high? I personally started all of my training sessions for alchemy at 400% potential and would not go below 200. Platinum from dungeons and job board quests kept my skill potentials high. Needed the gold from dungeon bosses and the additional resource nodes from dungeons were nice too.

30 gain material scrolls isn't really a lot. Have you been visiting all the magic vendors in North Tyris as well as some of the goods vendors? Admittedly, most of my vendors in my picture are well invested however I don't recall gain material scrolls needing to have a well invested vendor. In about 5 minutes, could of been less but I was pasting pictures in MS paint and trying to find something on youtube, I was able to get 27 gain material scrolls. 45 if I count house magic vendors. Total cost for 27 gain material scrolls about 51k and for 45 85k. That's about 6 before it's too late job board quests at 8k for 27 gain material scrolls and 10 for 45 gain material scrolls.

I usually get hundreds of gain material scrolls before I bless and read them.

Nothing really these days. I have quite the stockpile already of potions of potential. Although if I remember right there are some artifact fusion resist recipes that require you to craft stuff. I was just trying to illustrate what I was doing earlier in the game to get potions of potential. I should of made mention that a pet cooking breakfast can also help recover attribute potential. The better their cooking skill, the more potential recovered.

On a side note, the principle of rushing a ton of vendors also applies to how I farm wonder scrolls, potions of evolution, spellbooks of wish, flying scrolls, etc. Except now I do it on a grander scale. I use all the vendors in Lost Irva, South Tyris, and North Tyris.

Actually I take that back. There are some things I'm crafting. It's just I have so many materials saved up I haven't really had to farm material scrolls in mass. In the previous thread I crafted a living panty for my pet Saya. I also craft gear for my character and Saya to cover resists and to get more additional chance of a melee attack. So most of my material use has come from tailoring. I'll probably use tailoring to craft armor for new pets I add to the party.

Although I tend to just sell the junk I find in dungeons/void, I'm aware that you can just craft stuff and sell it in your shop.

Kumiromi statues are my favorite way to get herb seeds. You need access to South Tyris before you can begin amassing the statues though. Do this quest first to get the statue.

The Kumiromi statues have a chance of spawning herb seeds so the more statues you have the more seeds you get.

Other people talk about an anorexic fairy(Kumiromi's pet god reward) that generates seeds for them. I don't really know all the details about that as I never did that.

If you manage to kill the demigod Amurdad you get the scissors of Kumiromi. With the scissors you're practically guaranteed to replant all the plants you harvest. Only thing you have to worry about then is wither. However you can use Kumiromi's gemstone to revive plants. You can also make copies of that through the little sister quest above.

Curarias are actually one of the most plentiful herbs you can get once you have a couple of herb farms.

Best way to raise charisma hands down is investing in vendors. Specifically in bulk(50). Outside of that you have performer and prostitution. It's not exactly the easiest attribute to raise in the beginning admittedly. Instead you might be able to put a bandage on a low charisma score by scoring equipment that enhances your charisma. Unfortunately you're at the mercy of RNG for that. Can try your hand at crafting equipment or finding loot that has charisma enhancing stuff. There's also a mutation dealing with voice that can help out your charisma.

I manage my time more carefully than some might. I'll pick and do various kinds of quests in towns a lot, especially hunting. They might not always give as great money/time(in terms of real seconds)compared to some escort quests, but the platinum is still good. I tend to take whatever's around that I can feasibly do. Since a great deal of your in-game time will probably be spent traveling, if you do less of that and more questing and dungeon-crawling, you'll probably accomplish more in less time in terms of in-game time.

It's really nothing special, though. Probably the only good thing about it is that it helps keep taxes down. That's just the way I've been playing, though.

Does anyone know if a sandbagged monster gets free if you put on in a food shop? I suck blood from them to regen my stamina to fish.

What is the chance of gaining resistance from food influenced by?

My fairy farm has been going smoothly, and I am getting about 1 fairy per month, but haven't gained any innate magic resistance from the fairy+1 corpses yet.

Is it just a low chance? I've take off all resistance giving equipment and tried them cooked/raw, but still nothing.

Interesting thing to note is they drop bottles of pure water for whatever reason.

The present is an item you can throw at enemies that does chaos damage. It's not consumed when used though. The chaos damage isn't too great however it does put lots of debuffs on the enemy. If thrown at at a non hostile NPC, like a pet, it heals a decent amount of HP. You can hotkey the item so you don't have to pick it from the inventory when you go to throw it. While it acts like a thrown weapon it's unfortunate that when you throw it you actually have to go and retrieve the present once it's thrown. Usually you have to wait for the monster to move out of the tile where the present is to retrieve it.

I don't consider it a high priority item to have but it's interesting I guess. If you don't get the item this year, you can always just wish for one later if you really want it according to the patch notes.

It's one of the more uncommon finds from a resource node or scroll. As I understand the detection skill, it's mainly checked to see if you successfully gather from a node. Not sure if it actually raises the chance of getting rarer stuff. I have never really payed much attention to the skill honestly. Never put any bonus points in it, didn't actively go out of my way to train it, nor did I ever go out of my way to raise its potential.

Not sure why this is never mentioned, but if you have pickpocket leveling it up just enough to steal training books is good for training annoying skills.

Just go to Noyel, wait for snow, go to shelter. Leave and repeat until you find the book you want and steal it.

Make sure your potential in the skill is good. Sit in the inn and read the book while it snows.

It is still tedious, but I find it much easier to get the first couple of levels in skills that require crafting or skills like performing to get ensemble.

Guys help I'm trying to learn the healing rain spell. Seems like it would be extremely useful but my character refuses to learn it. I'll read the spellbook of healing rain, confirm that it wasn't too difficult by checking the log, then I'll go over to my spells screen. It's never there. I've reserved the book in the mage's guild and have read a few of them now to no effect. I think it's a bug?

Apparently yes, since, as its boosted, the exp it'll gain towards the next level will be lowered. That may not matter as much though, since you'll be able to dig out more tiles, faster, with higher mining from +mining gear.

Probably best to just to wear +mining gear and ensure it's potential is a decent percentage overall.

Well, I found out that there's no enemies in the early parts in that castle of chaos next to yohwyn and it has a DL of 25 or something, so, using that I leveled my mining from 8 to 30 in about 20 minutes. pretty neat.

I now have a vegetable and fruit farm, an herb farm, a gem plantation, and a 4th disused farm I plan on picking up and relocating next to my others beside Yowyn. My little girl has reached *love* status and fucks me quite frequently. I also have procured an android girl, and nearly enough favor with Mani to equip her with the winchester. (I will keep my MG, I mostly shoot from mid range and it's damage distro is better for that) Then I think I'll grab an exile, then a goose.

I also have a pet snail to train riding in short real time like Kai mentioned. He won't drink potions off the floor, will he? I saw he had an eighth note over him like he was drunk, but I didn't give him any liquor.

Seems like you can get treasure maps from shops. I currently have a goods shop(default) and a magic shop. I put all of my junk scrolls in my magic shop though. No idea if a specialized shop increases the chance for specific kinds of trade ins however the reason why you want to go with a specialized shop is because of markups. A specialized shop only sells certain things however the items sold there have a good selling price and according to the wiki, more sales are made.

I'm looking to add a third shop in the future so I'll have a goods shop, a magic shop, and an inn. The inn is a specialty shop for selling potions and containers and I see myself either buying tons of junk potions off of vendors or making them through alchemy to sell at my inn. The hope is to see people trade in rare potions such as descent specifically but I'll also be happy for speed uppers for my pets. No idea if those potions are possible to get through a shop but worth testing. Due to this, I'm taking in applications for an innkeeper. The Kai household is an equal opportunity employer so monsters are free to apply as well.

I killed her around lv 60. You might be able to do it before that if you have enough HP to survive her attacks and/or high enough skills/spell levels to do good damage. You'll want to stack chaos, nerve, and sound resist to deal with his gun. I'm not sure if it's possible to steal ammo from her anymore. I read somewhere that got nerfed. It's interesting seeing how they've systematically gotten rid of cheese tactics against him. Understandable though but I sort of miss the antics of people throwing cursed alcohol at him to make him vomit to death, nuking him, and stealing stuff from him. I think the summoning of a god to kill her still works but hostile god might kill you in the collateral damage if you're not careful.

If you choose to stay in melee range instead of range she'll use her sword more instead. It still can hurt but not as bad as that rail gun. As I said, I beat her around lv 60 and this was after I had beat Zeome and had access to South Tyris. The actual value of a rail gun is a bit diminished by then because you have access to the Valkoinen Kuolema. It's a safer weapon to use around pets and by pets since you don't have to worry about ball damage. It does cold damage though.

Anyone know why my little sister can't hit shit? She has 30 long sword skill and 25 two-handed, using a 4d4+2 katana with both ice and darkness enchants. She's probably wielding it two-handed because she doesn't have a shield anymore. Anyway, on the 7th/8th floor of Lesimas, which I went to to train her in long swords, it takes her 50 turns to kill anything. Is something weird here? It really shouldn't be taking that long...

I've upgraded it. The problem isn't that the katana doesn't do any damage, it's that she literally can't hit anything. I just tried taking the sword, and I have no problems using it - my sword skill is even 14, half of what her's is. I have no idea what's wrong.

The damage isn't amazing or anything, as you said. That's not why I want her to use it, though - as I said it has 2 enchants, ice and darkness, with ice a ## and darkness ####. The potential damage bonuses are very nice and would both round out my damage types a bit better in addition to adding some good damage in general, as well as probably being able to help out in a pinch against tough enemies(I have yet to see what the darkness proc is truly capable of, but it hasn't failed to kill anything yet when it actually does proc).

If I can't figure this out I'll probably just shove a 2hander on her again. She was kicking ass with one previously.

Much like everything in Elona, it really depends. A possible playstyle in Elona is to go full bard and perform/sex your way to victory with massive charisma. I'm extra confused. I've never heard of range slots. Only hands and shoot slots. You can only have one ranged weapon equipped at a time and it goes in the shoot slot. Gun in the shoot slot uses the firearm skill. If you put a gun in a hand slot you will use the blunt skill. So it's like you're pistol whipping the enemy. Now if you have three hands with 2 guns equipped in hand slot 1 and 2 while the katana is in hand slot 3 you're using the dual wield skill. If the weapons don't conform to weight rules you'll get a penalty to all your hits beyond the first.Also if your blunt and dual wield skills are not good then that can be a problem too.

Well the confusion for me stems from the fact that I've never heard of two shoot slots. I took a break from the game but picked it back up again recently. Think I started somewhere in the 600-700 lv range. Current summon spirit is lv 900 and I can make about 21-25k tickets each party time quest. It's in flux due to the amount of named NPCs that show up.

It must be noted that due to the changes to alchemy rain you cannot impress spirits using alchemy rain and love potions anymore. The best way to impress them currently is through having a very high performer skill. You can throw love potions at the spirits one at a time and that will impress them too however it's not feasible to solely rely on love potions. Considering you'll summon 50 or more spirits that would require you to use 50 or more love potions each party time quest.

As spells level the amount of stock used up in casting decreases a bit. My current wish spell level is in the 300 range. My class isn't warmage but predator and I have 100% chance to cast wish if I keep my equipment weight at light. I capped my casting skill a long time ago with Kai by spamming the oracle spell and due to my casting skill that's why I can cast the wish spell successfully. Due to my wish spell level, just one spellbook of wish goes very far for me.

Picture one is an older picture showing that I had 7 spellbooks of wish in storage along with 2k+ in wonder scrolls. The wish spellbooks I got off of magic vendors and my magic store. Wonder scrolls I got from magic vendors. Picture 2 and 3 illustrate that when I farm wonder scrolls and wish spell books that I draw from magic vendors from all over. One I got in Lost Irva and another in North Tyris. So I had 8 spellbooks of wish when I went to give myself a nice level injection.

Before you read a spellbook of wish you should bless them as you stand to gain more stock that way. I'm practically guaranteed to get at least 25 wishes from one spellbook but I've gotten up to 60 or so before. Picture 4 illustrates I got 53 wishes which I used on descent potions which I blessed for levels. So one spellbook of wish netted me 53 levels, a nice boost in HP and MP, and some bonus points. Well I went through all 8 of my blessed spellbooks of wish and used them all on blessed descent potions. Picture 5 shows that I received 300+ potions of descent from wishing which I blessed.

So I drank all those potions in picture 6 gaining 300+ levels, a whole lot of HP and MP, but also that delicious 1,830 bonus points to spend on whatever skill(s) I wanted to boost. The juice is still running though. I have all those wonder scrolls in storage. I currently have around 3k of them but won't read them until I hit 10k. I'll get more wish stock from them as well.

Pets don't restore their potentials from sleep specifically. Game mechanic wise there isn't really a need to give them a sleeping bag. A pet can restore attribute potential for the player including itself and the rest of the team through the breakfast event. The breakfast event doesn't require a bed in the pet's inventory though.

Eye of Mind seems to be training at a rate independent of what I'm attacking. As far as I can tell, it's a flat exp payout for each crit.
Therefore, I'm thinking that the best way to train Eye of Mind is to tank your accuracy and snipe low level enemies with a shotgun. The only way you'll hit at all will be crits, and holding F makes each kill fast. Since they're low level, you can act without fear of detection and you'll always kill anything you hit.

Anybody found a better way to train Eye of Mind?

Definitely correct that each time you crit you get exp. I've been training EOM using the Sasumata. Weapon does 0 damage to enemies so things won't die however you still can crit for zero damage and you get EOM exp for that. If you equip it in your melee slot all you have to do is walk into the enemy and just make sure you keep EOM's skill potential high. You can also just equip it in the shoot slot and hold F down.

Only reason why I haven't capped EOM yet is due to wanting to raise or cap other skills. I'll get there eventually though. It's already at 1800. Sasumata is one of Jure's god rewards. Need favor of at least 4025 and need to summon her to talk with her so she gives you said weapon.

Is it true magic resistance gives you a little resistance to all elements?

I've seen it mentioned here, but can't seem to find anything on the wiki to support it.

I'm curious because I have a crafted jacket and ring of steal dragon that give me #####+ resistance to pure magic, and was wondering how that would translate to other resistances.

It's true. Magic resist is the catch all resist. It's not as good as the real deal but provides a little bit. Fire should be fought with fire resist for example but magic resist can help out a bit too.

Garok's hammer is a gigantic rip off considering what it does, the fact that it's a one time use item, and its cost. I think the diaries are overpriced as well but maybe some will disagree with that. Today i switched between Yacatect and Kuminori and after i did it i lost 10 gold on my sale price for items. I thought it was strange since i didnt increase my favor with yacatect and thus i didnt get any negotiation bonus. After the sin debuff ended my prices were again up to normal. Now this is just my hypotesis but it may be that beside speed / dv / pv debuff you get from changing gods you also gets some skills penalty. It has a damage modifier of 10 at all ranges (ie: no matter the distance, it will always deal full damage).
It also invokes Nightmare and can stop time occasionally.

Keep throwing till you inflict nightmare, then follow with a nerve/mind/darkness/nether/chaos attack for extra damage.

Also if you have multiple of them and you pick them all up they will turn into Miracle quality weapons of some category(dunno if throwing or short swords in this case)

Am I ever going to find weapons better for dual wielding than diablo + rankis? It seems like double timestop is by far the best combination for dual wielding thanks to all the extra attacks. In general it seems like the quality of gear flattens out after a while and you end up with a set of equips which you never replace no matter how strong you become. Is this the case or am I missing something?

Also, I just beat Estork the doggod. Super happy about it after coming back and failing so many times. This time I ended up getting like three timestops in a row and went fist of the north star on his ass for practically half of his life bar before the fight really even began. It was awesome.

There are end game weapons that people seem to end up with. As the game updates come out and new weapons are introduced what is used might change though.

The strongest weapon I saw for a dual wielder came from an anon that posted their time stop living lightsabers that they crafted using carpentry. The idea would be to apply an adamantium or ether material kit to the weapon to make the lightsabers 2d15. They would also apply artifact fusion first loading it with enchants like magic damage or something else and then finally leveling the lightsabers adding stuff to it they wanted. In the end you would have 2d15 lightsabers with 100% pierce that can cause timestop and can do magic damage, other invokes, and possibly other things.

Some people would think Inner God weapons would be the strongest things to wield and they can be however there's one big problem with them. All of them bring an end and that enchant afaik can't be removed. By the time you get said inner god weapons a Ragnarok here and there shouldn't scare however it's really annoying to deal with. You'll accidentally trigger it in a dungeon and you'll see a flood of dragons and giants. You'll just sigh and say, "I just want to get to the next floor but now I have to kill all of you to make a path to the stairs." The problem just compounds if you trigger another Ragnarok with an inner god weapon while fighting a mob of dragons and giants.

So instead of actually using an inner god weapon as a weapon to kill things I personally would use it as an attribute stick. All of the inner god weapons buff certain attributes to really crazy levels. So I just equip it in a weapon slot I rarely use. Since I'm martial artist that uses spells I equip inner god weapons in my shoot slot. A ranged user might equip it in their hand slots.

I have it currently in storage. I might give it to a pet in the future. The massive damage to gods enchant can be useful. I remember my character's father/previous character(gunner/mage) using a living gun that had that enchant to do extra damage to god type enemies such as the Atlas and five head god. I would have used that gun to kill the worshiped gods but I eventually got my hands on the N97 and that became my main weapon.

Too bad their isn't a thing like lineage feats. Special feats you can give your gene based on in game accomplishments. So if a godslayer made a gene that gene could select from a list of lineage feats. I have 2 at the moment. A goods shop and a magic shop. Yacatect is the shopkeeper for the gods shop and my slash ogre Nia is the shopkeeper for the magic shop. Thinking of adding a third, an inn, soon.

I do buy out the inventories of magic vendors to put in my shop in the hope for better items. I even go to the spell writer NPC in the mage guild that reserves books and buy out his stuff to put in my shop.

I can sell scrolls, spellbooks, and rods in magic shop however at the moment I need to use my goods shop for dropping off potions. I'm intending to eventually open up an inn as that specializes in selling potions at markup. That should help reimburse me for my purchases.

Aside from magic vendors, I've also been visiting Moyer in Noyel and buying miracle rings from him. I put them in my general shop in the hopes that I'll get a better ring. For me, that's something that increases additional melee attack chance however just recently I got a nice ring that improves the chance for an additional range attack from my store. I intend to put that in storage and give it to a future range pet.

I'm of the opinion that the AA-12 is a better gun.
It has a bit lower base damage, but it deals elemental damage, has pierce, has a more useful invoke, and comes with chance of extra attack. The only thing it doesn't have going for it is range, but I find that i always wind up in melee with anything vaguely threatening anyways.

Start a character , go to yowyn. You can do the gardening quest even without the skill. Get the gardening skill ( to get a farm later ) and just do that over and over. Since you find items in pots during the quest there's a good chance you get scrolls of name , scroll of oracle or even pots of cure corruption. all those items sell for 1k+ gold and you get a ton of shit from completing the quests and 3k gold from them. Get your first shop , make it magic and sell everything in the shop instead to shopkeepers . You will get major profits and will start rolling in money. Coincidentally i have 5 farms outside 2 with fruits and vegetables and 1 with magic supplying me. I think my most profitable week was 70k gold.

How does synchro hearts work on the duel crab? He uses it when his hp is low right? Think it would be smart to deck one out with bleed gear so he can cast it frequently?

I need some advice.

I just beat vesda and the fire tower, and thought I was on the right track. I equipped the ring of steel dragons, and gave the rest of the equipment to my pets.

Problem is the ring of steel dragons along with a coat I had have made pure magic my highest resistance, turning variable breath from sound to magic.

I didn't realize how much I abused sound breaths confusion/dim chance to screw up enemy ai, and now hounds and dragons are giving me major headaches with their breath attacks.

Should I give the ring to one of my pets? Or is there some other static artifacts that give super sound resistance besides the shell necklace?

Yeah, I got the shell very early. That's how I managed to have sound breath as soon as I got variable breath.

And I know that magic doesn't have many enemies with resistance at first, but honestly the actual damage of variable breath(even pure magic based) seems sub par so I have just been using it to confuse spell casters/breath users until I could close the distance or my pets take care of them.

Is there a better method of disrupting groups of enemies? I thought of grinding with my alchemy skill book to get alchemical rain, but I don't like the idea of hitting my pets every single time with it.

Maybe check the equipment page and see if any materials give native sound resist, and use change/superior material scrolls on something else you've got equipped.

Winchester gives sound resist, bit of a waste if you're melee though. Those are the only unique artifacts I know of the top of my head with sound resist, but I don't know many.

So i spent my 65 scrolls of change material on random items to then put in my shop.

But before dumping them i decided to test the shop. It seems that the maximum gold you can get is limited by your shopkeeper's negociation.
And its pretty fucking low, capping at 53k for 110 or so negociation.

I don't remember the shop working like that, when was this changed ? I feel like that was the whole point of the shop.

The more wishes you get per in game year, the less likely you'll be to get another wish, at least from wells, far as I know. That's what that "You feel as a stroke of good fortune passed by." message is.

The hexagonal well behind the church in Noyel has the highest chance of giving a wish, but if you refill it with anything but pure water, that extra wish chance goes out the window, and its the same as any other well.

I have some equipment that lets me eat rotten food. The wiki says that you still gain the same (points toward)stat bonuses if you eat rotten food if you have said equipment, but I'm uncertain. I haven't been gaining much at all in the way of stats while eating rotten food. Conversely, my sisters have been gaining quite a lot, and I've been giving them all the non-rotten food when I get my hands on it, saving the rotten food for myself. Anybody have any idea what's going on here?

AI definitely can use some work but for the most part my pet gets the job done. Are you further than me in the void? Currently lv 600 or so in the void. At what point would you say your pets gets shredded?

Currently my pet rarely if ever needs a resurrection. She's pretty autonomous requiring very little babysitting on my part. I just let her do her own thing. Before this I had to keep an eye constantly on her and she would die every now and then. I knew exactly why she was dying though so I rarely felt it was the pet's fault entirely. Didn't have enough resources in the past to properly gear my pet like I was gearing my character. Especially in the resist department. I've slowly built up a resist suit for her. It's nowhere near mine but it's getting there.

Currently she's getting AP and leveling in the void. She can handle most enemies fine with little supervision but there are a couple that give her trouble.

Testing procedure: Created a character, entered wizard mode, used wishes for "skill constitution" and Cheat Engine to identify the 4 byte int that held Constitution. Obtained ability to eat rotten food by wishing for ring fo steel dragon. Then saved.
Generated data by loading the save and eating a fresh or rotten corpse (wished for) and recording the contents of the constitution memory address. Ran four tests with a rotten corpse, four with a fresh corpse.
Results:
Value before eating corpse: 12262236 (12.262 Con 236% potential)
Value after each trial of eating rotten corpse: 12269236 (12.269 Con 236% potential)
Value after each trial of eating unrotten corpse: 12269236 (12.269 Con 236% potential)

Conclusion: Rotten status has no impact on base stat gain value for uncooked food. Did not test cooked food, same test procedure would work for such testing.

Allright, good to know. It's kind of good for me, because I can take a few rotten things with me for me, some fresh food, and shove the fresh food/corpses at my pets. Given the same values, though, it's definitely worth it to keep an eye open for more of this kind of gear in the future. You'll come to appreciate the laws of Elona citizen. Bards are glorified thieves that have an aoe that sucks gold from everyone around them. If you think you can kill the bard go ahead. Nobody will bat an eye. If your heart goes out to the beggars wait and see when one of them visits your house. He just want's a little gold but he doesn't state how much he takes until you say yes. Surely a rich guy like yourself can part with 100,000 or more gold to each beggar that comes to your doorstep so they can live the easy life without working.

I still have the screenshot, for posterity. But yea it's not even entirely necessary, and it was A LOT of savescumming. It's good for casually blasting weaker creatures, but you still do more damage with god weapons, so I ultimately don't know if it's worth it.
