A great man. The only thing he needs to do is bring back PC-98 characters (not remake Touhou 1-5 themselves, he would never do it) to give them the rest they deserve, instead of having them stuck in a barebones continuity that secondaries think as "non canon".

The only game dev I feel bad for demanding more shit from.

A lesser creator would have got to around PCB and then gratefully be scooped up by some company or gladly sell out at the drop of a hat. The whole Reisen-ps4 stuff is nothing compared to what could have happened years ago

ZUN said that Alice Margatroid was created in PCB so that Marisa would have an established partner when IN came around (and likewise Yukari was created to be Reimu's IN partner). He decided to base her on Alice from Mystic Square in order to confuse players of the demo, who wouldn't be sure whether he was bringing back PC-98 characters or not and might think that a PC-98 character was responsible for stealing spring.

In fact, ZUN says his demos are always designed to troll players. E.g.
