Your timing also affects how fast the hard gauge regenerates. If you're used to AC but not to CS, your timing being off could affect that.

I don't want to discredit your experience since I don't have my PS2 on hand at the moment to do comparisons, but I still doubt that the Empress CS bar is harder.

Search on bandcamp sites for random Bemani artists until you find a really obscure compilation that they contributed to that isn't on sows yet. Buy it for like $10, download it in 3 separate qualities because bandcamp lets you do that, then upload all of those files to sows.

Congrats, free shitloads of ratio. Better if you do this during freeleech because then a gazillion people will actually download it, but it still works regardless.

and near the ending, the blend of steady rhythms and synth leads being charted is pretty tricky too

That said as someone who has been working on my 9 HC lamp. It's a pretty hard 9. Calling it a 10 is very wrong and I agree with the other guy on that but it's definitely a hard 9 (which I find surprising since most modern songs tend to be under-rated.)

I'd rate it a 9.6-7 personally. It's not as hard as Ristaccia, LAB, bridal festival, Era, Night flight to Tokyo, or even GOLDEN CROSS which is my hallmark definition of a fair hard 9 (and my favorite 9).


I'd reserve, "definitely a 10 for clearing" for stuff like breathless, and esrev:eR and Watch Out!!

Should I even be using offset when I'm playing on a lcd monitor that supposedly has 1ms delay? Or should I look into some other things to fix my timing. I have been using like +2.2 offset for some time and with that I manage to keep my slows and fasts ratio pretty even, but I wonder if I'm just fucking myself by fiddling with the offset. As it is at least noticeable that the real judgement line after applying the offsets is somewhat above the normal one when bpm changes happen.
