So ye, I want to try some japanese sweets, but I need opinion

Everyone likes Pocky, it's literally the most inoffensive treat around - it's just a cookie/sweetened breadstick covered in chocolate.

Mochi is soft, chewy, somewhat gelatinous and has something of a rice flour-y taste to it on it's own(it is, essentially, just rice flour and water), the filling is what gives it most of the sweetness - if you like the filling, you'll likely enjoy the mochi though the texture can be an acquired taste for those who enjoy harder, crunchier foods.

A pack of M&Ms has more value than Pocky and tastes better. Don't fall for it.

Pocky is omnipresent in USA nowadays. Just go to some story with lots of candies and buy it.

Regular pocky is somewhat boring. Get a non-chocolate flavor.

Order hi-chews instead. They are a better Starburst.

You can never go wrong with Pocky, as long as you get the chocolate cream flavored ones (red package). I have tried four different flavors, but the chocolate cream flavored still tasted the best. Whatever you do, don't get the banana flavored ones.

Buy the mochi green tea, they taste good if you heat them then let it cool a little, pocky are just an average snack.

I thought the banana ones weren't too bad aside from the coating being kind of fragile. If you're not careful it'll crumble off with the first bite. Green tea is the best, though.

Have you checked Walmart? It'll be by the rice and it costs about as much as a candy bar. They have it in chocolate and strawberry flavors.
