While I don't play that much nukige, the few that I do are basically the cheesy, cliched, vanilla kind.
Aside from the fact that I'm a sucker for that shit, I see it as a well-deserved break after reading the heavier story.

... There's also the fact that if the story is too interesting, I'll end up skipping all the H-scenes and basically play it like any other VN.

I don't really like VNs that aren't nukige. I feel like VNs, as well as anime series, take too long to tell a story without being as engaging as a book or manga. Nukige tend to be shorter and more tolerable. Truthfully, I'm much more likely to look up a CG set than play a VN, nukige or otherwise.

The only non-nukige VNs I can tolerate are the ones with some sort of game or minigame attached and ones that are a little more like a game with a VN attached.

Yeah, it's much better than just watching for porn.

Until now havent seen a single good story in a nukige. Though there are some with little bitty humor or some dark twist and somehow people overly praise those parts like monster girl quest, which might be even okay but in the end it is mostly porn.

MGQ has a acceptable story but it is rather simple and most like it because it is so simple but if you compare it there are deeper or more emotional stories, better twist, you name it.

Nukige is good when it is true nukige. Which means it mainly just transitions between H-scenes and don't contain anything resembling a story.

When you have games that are more about reading a non-existent story sprinkled with H-scenes every 10 minutes, it is not a good game. Because usually sex scenes are too short for a fapping session and it is too hard to keep erection for 10 minutes of story.

That could be a legitimate complaint though. I've seen some amazing stories in eromanga even recently, but those old grandiose silly stories from the early 2000s and 90s don't seem to exist anymore. Eromanga nowadays tends to be more meta or just focus too much on the ero instead of having lots of plot and then ero, even if the plot revolves around ero.

- subcharacters barely any exist if they do
those are female and often have h-scenes
- beside protagonist, other male characters
if they exist have no standing picture,

- the story is simple and mostly about ero
- h-scenes lenght can vary a lot but there
usually a lot of h-scenes and around
80 - 90% of all cgs in gallery are those of
h-scenes

The bishoujo mangekyou and actually there and maybe others exist have a bigger cast then
necessary, other male characters have a role, they actually really try to tell a story which is not so simple as 'everyone loves prota here is a bit humor on top of it, so goood story',
The art especially and animations for stuff outside of h-scenes seems rather impressive.

So yeah I wouldnt call those games normal nukige, well sure somewhat belong it but cant be classified as just that.
A real nukige is more about fapping.and really

Good stories help for fapping, but in most nukige the story will likely just be generic and terrible. So if it's going to be there, it better be good. Otherwise, why even bother.

Do H-games count as Nukige? As in the rpgs where if you lose to the monsters you get raped or if you pick the wrong choices you get raped by the villains. I find certain ones to be incredibly fun.

I agree. That is exactly why moege should become extinct already.

The first type of 'visual novels' I was exposed to were shitty meet'n'fuck flashes on Newgrounds, so I have an affinity for nukige with animation and sound, particularly sound because good animated ones are nearly impossible to find. Erectlip does good ones, although most of their releases involving plumper girls are rapey which is a bit of a downer.

While I'm on the topic, can anyone recommend similar circles to them?
