This thread is for the discussion of untranslated Japanese visual novels.

What are you playing? What are you looking forward to? What have you finished? You know the drill.
>>
>>15812780
Transparency sliders exist for a reason, you know.
>>
>>15812787
Yeah, so you can adjust it to your own preference, not someone else's.
>>
>>15812787
Sorry.
>>
>>15812787
IIRC that's the default for that game, for whatever reason.
>>
>>15812780
>What are you playing?
Not much, what about you?
>What are you looking forward to?
I think I want a game with mass killings.
>What have you finished?
Nothing yet... Still in my learning phase...
>You know the drill.
I guess you have a point here but isn't this drill kinda useless? I mean, what is this supposed to accomplish?
>>
>>15812780
Just read the description of that game, how is it? It sounded so edgy that it might actually go beyond that territory and be kinda amusing again.
>>
>>15812895

You fucked up, literally spoiler city

What do you guys think about the new akabeesoft lolige?

The trial is out too: http://dl.dengeki-hime.com/01a/akabeesoft3/gusha/gusha_trial.zip
>>
>>15813260
I think the OP is fucking terrible.

Not sure about the game, will wait for reviews first since I don't trust them enough to go into it blind. Anyone gonna play the trial here?
>>
>>15813265
I kinda agree about OP. They really should stop using male vocals.

October looks like one hell of a loli month.
>>
>>15813260
The premise is dumb as fuck and the art is ugly. It reeks of Akabeesoft's desperation as they flounder around trying to find something to save them from their slow death spiral. It's a mid-price title which means it'll be limited in both scope and production values, and will shortly be forgotten in the dark, cum-stained depths of the bargain bin. I sincerely doubt it will be any good whatsoever.

But it is a lolige, so I guess I'll play it.
>>
>>15812780
I'm playing Iwaihime. The first part was a bit weak with seemingly pointless gore but I turned out to get pretty good later on.
>>
>>15813440
Played the whole thing actually and except for the first three (?) parts the entire thing is shit in my opinion.
What exactly did you like?
>>
>>15813454
I like that it's an extremely fast paced mystery story with some horror. And I like the girls. I haven't finished it so maybe the shit is ahead of me?
>>
>>15813298
>ちっちゃくないもんっ
This one's incredible for the sole fact that the artist seems to be progressing in reverse. He's actually managing to make worse art every time.
>>
>>15813260
I love lolis but I really hate shota / shota x loli. Part of the appeal of loli to me is the age gap, and on a more base level the idea of large objects going into small holes. I think that's the appeal of most lolicon content.

I mean, I'll still play it, since lolige are sort of few and far in between, but I feel like they're reaching for a more niche audience than even a normal lolige. Hopefully if it bombs they don't just give up on it altogether.
>>
Someone still have つくとり? If yes, upload please on mega or share a link. Torrents with it are mostly dead...
>>
>>15813742
The appeal of loli is the lolis. /ss/ is amazing though, both equal ages and with older females. Although it loses a bit if the shota is the dominant partner. I like the size difference moreso than the age difference (thus I like onee-shota and onii-loli but not oji/dilf-loli and oba/milf-shota) but lolidom /ss/ is cool.

The strange thing is I never thought about loli-shota where the loli was the younger one by a significant degree before encountering it a while ago, but it rubs me the wrong way for some reason.

A few years ago I played Sakuranbo Shougakkou's new games, Love's Right, Mofuku Lolita, and Version Mako and was pretty upset. They won't show the girl's ages anymore like they used to with earlier games like with 10 year old Shiiko and 9 year old Ichigo.

I thought their balls dropped off and they were too afraid to do that anymore.

Well, it's because I downloaded those games off Nyaa or Animesharing or whatever and whoever uploaded those bought Type B and not Type A.

I recently bought Mofuku Lolita and Love's Right from DMM. Those versions are uncensored.

Nothing happened to Sakuranbo Shougakkou at all, you just need to get the right version and you apparently won't find them on the big torrent sites.

Enjoy
>>

I've been looking for a shota x loli game where the shota doesn't fuck around like a rabbit, so this looks interesting for me. I don't know if I'll like the rebelling children premise though. Guess I'll wait before trying this out.

>>15813742

>Part of the appeal of loli to me is the age gap, and on a more base level the idea of large objects going into small holes

It's the reverse for me. I like shota x loli more, and don't like the typical lolige where the MC is much older than the loli heroine (part of the reason why I can't finish Monobeno). If I want large insertions, I'd rather look for something more exaggerated like monster rape or minigirl fairy fucking. Normal highschool VNs doesn't really cut it for me, I want adolescent love from the earliest believable point possible, and possibly make it as part of their maturity to adulthood and make a everlasting love out of it. It warms my heart (and dick) when I see one.
>>
(Usual) lurker here. I have read a few JP eroge but still misunderstand a lot, so I feel I am not yet competent enough to post in these threads regularly. I wanted to ask you, about how long did it take you to get to the level of proficiency where you felt comfortable reading through most material? About how many eroge have you read in total? And finally, might you have any pointers to someone along the way besides just more exposure?

Apologies if this sort of question is inappropriate for this thread, I'm not quite sure.
>>
>>15814202
Just passed around 100 in Japanese, actually. That's over 2 years but less than 3. The number is inflated by my focus on short titles. Exposure is all you need so I don't have any pointers. I guess I would say, don't skimp listening practice. If all you read is eroge you'll have a heard time following spoken language at times since you'll inevitably use kanji as shortcuts to skip reading the readings so you'll tend to forget them.
>Apologies if this sort of question is inappropriate for this thread
It's borderline. Would be better for DJT. Doesn't really matter though.
>>
>>15813260
What's up with Akabei Soft3 and changing genres left and right? Just this year alone they went from a nukige to an idol story to an utsuge to a loli x shota nakige. Is that the gimmick of the company, that they can make everything?
>>
>>15814256

>>

>>15814295
I mean... This may just be optimism speaking, but would it so weird if they're just making games based on artistic desires? Making the games they want to make out of passion?
>>
>>15814515
Eroge industry is a business first and foremost.
If someone wants to make games on artistic desires he does it for doujin market, not for commercial industry.
>>
>>15814545
The difference is that, if their artistic passion-borne games sell, there's no reason to stop them. As an example, Clockup made several games purely because the artist Shigeo really wanted to... and they sold well, so they keep listening to her. That's that.
>>
>>15813260
That's a shitty OP and I'm not too hot for those character designs but I really want a loli x shota game so downloading the trial.
>>
>>15814545
It is strictly business for the producers, but writers and artists are mostly freelancers who only get hired if they already have something interesting to show, many of them already have a job and do eroge as a side job. Some of them like Romeo or Kepposhi do it for the money but others like Scaji or Hayakari are definitely passionate about what they do. To say that it's not a business is of course idealistic but to say that they don't have artistic desires, even if they work in the commercial industry, is also unrealistic. They'd be spending their time working on something else if they wanted to make a lot of money easily. I know I would.

That said, I don't think that's the case with Akabei. Akabei seems desperate to milk a little bit of money out of every niche out there right now. Although the one with the slut idol was kind of risky.

>>
>>15814637
Freelance writers usually write based on a rough plot and concept layed out by producers. It's not like they can write whatever they desire.
Of course a lot of people work in eroge industry because they love medium and it's not only business for them but they still have to think about things from business point of view.
Scaji for example is CEO of his own company where he could do all he wants as long as he can sustain said company. Do you really think he could do things without making judgements about risks and profits?
>>
>>15814707
Flying Shine: 3 dudes and 5 girls stuck in a school alone somehow. Lots of romance and sexy stuff. Maybe add a little drama to get some tears.
Romeo: Say no more fa.m
>>
>>15814707
I don't see where you're going because it seems we both agree. Of course you have to think about making a profit if you don't want to end up eating food from the trash can, I'm just saying artists work in these development teams and artists have artistic urges.

>Freelance writers usually write based on a rough plot and concept layed out by producers.
Usually, yes. But several present their own original drafts. This means they also want to come up with things on their own once in a while.
>>
>>15814692
It will still sell alot less than senren banka
>>
>>15814783
Not sure, it has a lot of hype and huge ads in akiba right now.
>>
>>15814783
And that's relevant how? It's like saying that a 5-class Italian restaurant will never get as many customers as McDonald's.
>>
>>15814794
Of course sales are relevant, it's what keep them alive. Also, a 5-class italian restaurant won't sell their food in the same price as McDonald's.
>>
>>15814820
It's August, unless they fuck up something they'll get more than sustainable sales.
>>
PlayDRM on major releases is just a matter of time.
>>
>>15814833
I doubt it.
Why spend the money on DRM when your games already sell a shitload.
Especially when Akabei has proven that DRM isn't some magical tool that will dramatically increase your sales.
>>
>>15814860
Ask that to all the major developers using Denuvo and such. Reason: They think they'll sell more shitloads.
>>
>>15814783

Yuzu will probably top the rating though.

>>15814969
Oh, I see. That's pretty funny.
>>
>>15814918
It's baffling how they were able to make their newer games after Hoshimemo even more shiny.
>>
>>15813970
So, for example.

Type B. You're fucking Merumo while the class watches. Popuri, the teacher says 'isn't fucking great? Don't you love girls?' While Merumo is shouting 'Girls are great, girls are great'

In type A you're fucking Merumo and Popuri says 'Isn't fucking elementary school girls great? Don't you love soft tight 10 year old pussies?' While Merumo is shouting '10 years old, 10 years old!'

In Mofuku Lolita while he's in the middle of fucking the girl (she has no name given) he asks 'how old are you?' 'I'm 10 years old!' 'What grade are you in?' 'I'm in 5th grade!'

Both lines are cut completely in the B version.

In both games the girls wear Randoseru while both are edited out of the B versions. So if you like Randoseru those are also gone.

Got it? If you don't care then it's unimportant. The scenes are still there, the dialog and Randoseru are what's cut.
>>
>>15815249
That seems kind of odd. Why would anyone buy type B? Regional laws? Desire to pretend the girls are 18?
>>
>>15813964
>>15815249
How did this affect eroge but not eromanga? Is it because of the Rapelay incident?
>>
>>15814256
I'm pretty torn when it comes to Akabei. They like to be fart sniffing cunts but 働くオトナの恋愛事情 was pretty great and I still hope it was successful if only to show other companies that you don't have to shit out the same high school setting for the umpteenth time.
>>
>>15815262
DLsite has stricter rules in regards of content. It's even explained on their page: http://www.kodomo-h.com/cherry/DL/index.html
>>
>>15815283
Sofurin. Doujin games can freely ignore it because they're not bound by Sofurin's rules, but some vendors refuse to sell games that don't comply. DMM doesn't give a shit.

Sofurin doesn't have anything to do with eromanga, of course.
>>
>>15815340
Sofurin has some power over DMM and such. They sent out the order to stop sales of Kouen Itazura Simulator, and DMM as well as other shops had to comply. In the end version A of the said game was completely removed out of sales.
You can read about it here http://www.youjo.jp/201607.html#2016.07.06 and here http://www.youjo.jp/201509.html#2015.09.07

I guess it's only a matter of time until Sofurin will notice other games and will force them out of sale too.

And it's really a matter of time because DMM recently banned all image videos with under-aged girls from their store. Eroge/doujinshi with shady content probably will be the next major target.
>>

>>
>>15815916
http://www.dlsite.com/pro/work/=/product_id/VJ005484.html This is probably your best bet at this point.
>>
>>15815392
That is just stupid. Holy shit.
>>
>>15816061
Yeah, it is.
But it's not like Sofurin is an ultimate evil here. In this case they received some kind of complaint about that particular game from the Internet Hotline Center which is basically a middle-man between police and internet-businesses under control of Japan's National Police Agency.
So yeah, it's the will of the country so industry has no other choice than comply.
>>
>>15816188
Someone should really save and share all those "versions A" before they are completely exterminated.
>>
>>15816201
Well I can share the two I got but I have no idea how to make torrents. I assume they magically happen on the internet spontaneously
>>
>>15816210
If you don't want to bother with learning about making torrents then you can probably upload it to mega or something and some kind anon will make torrents out of those uploads later.
>>
>>15816244

There's one in particular I'd look for but for the life of me I can't remember it. A teacher gets a job as a tutor for 4 young women because for some reason their past teacher was fired. After his first week one of his students says 'please, I can't take it anymore, I need to be bound and raped'. Turns out the previous teacher was using his students for bondage play. It's what you're looking for. I'll try to remember but it's been years.

Anyhow.
https://vndb.org/p1202
Everything by Magical Girl. Lots of bondage, lots of sexual slavery, nothing but lolis (ok, there's a stray cross dressing shota in those too). A lot of blood which is a turnoff for me.

https://vndb.org/v10420
loli gets stuck inside a video game and can't get out. The monsters are trying to impregnate her because if they do, they get to be reborn in the real world. Most of it's just straight up rape but there's some bondage in there.

https://vndb.org/v13794
loli gets made an example for sex ed class. She's too embarrassed so the teacher binds her in a lot of different ways to force her compliance. Give me a minute. It's almost done uploading.

Do people review nukige on dlsite purely based on the art and maybe voice acting? I was reading this one game and the writing was plain bad, including plain poorly written passages with grammatical errors, but when I checked dlsite not only did it get hundreds of 5-star (aka red happy face) ratings and none of the few reviews mentioned the text at all. They focused on the contents of the H-scene and a rough summary of the setting. Is it right to conclude from this that when it comes to nukige, dlsite reviewers completely ignore the writing? And, just to be clear, I don't mean "ignore the writing" as in "docks off point for not being literary works of brilliance", but as in, ignoring typos, grammatical errors, etc in the writing in addition to the writing being consistently dull outside of H-scenes.
>>
>>15818607
I think you're overthinking it. My masturbation was good = good rating. That's what those games are for after all. Obviously writing can make your masturbation better or worse, but it probably won't affect it much unless it's drastic.
>>
>>15818607
If I bought a game to jerk it I'd be rating it based on how hard it made me jerk, yeah.
Dull writing is regrettable but I doubt both me and my dick would give a damn about grammar and typos during the action.
>>
>>15818618
I understand what you mean, but you'd think someone paying $20 for a porno novel would dock off a point or at least mention in reviews, "hey the novel aspect is filled with problems, be aware".
>>15818621
The people on dlsite must have bought it though, you'd think someone who spent $20 on something would be quick to point out some serious flaws.
>>
>>15818633
It being so bad that it is unreadable is extremely rare, and if it was truly that bad it would not get good reviews. You're probably just very sensitive to minor stuff.
>>
>>15818643
Well, I didn't say unreadable, and I also didn't say "good reviews". It's getting MAX reviews. And no one who reviewed it is even mentioning it. That's why I posted. Had it gotten 4/5, or had a single reviewer mentioned it, then I wouldn't have made a post. It's the completely ignoring and the rave reviews that leave me confused. I'm not saying these people should be crucifying the game, I just feel like the awful writing should in some way be reflected in the ratings or at least a single review. Which is why I asked:
>Do people review nukige on dlsite purely based on the art and maybe voice acting?
The answer seems to be yes.
>>

>>15818089
Thanks for helping out, I'm really looking forward to reading it. I knew of its reputation for being strange which is what aroused my interest in the first place, but I will be sure to. What did you think of it?
>>
>>15818633
Why would you assume that? People tend to want to believe they made a good purchase, and will give things better reviews if they actually paid for them vs. getting them for free.
>>
>>15818671
If that were true, then any game could be made instantly fun by paying for it.
>>
>>15818671
>Why would you assume that?
It seems to me, from the way dlsite reviews tend to be written, that the reviewer's intention is to inform the reader. Usually has less personal opinion and more just extended descriptions of the content.

Overall it was a pretty satisfactory game, but sometimes I felt like things were a bit -too- predictable. I don't know if it's because I've read sky or something, but the flags were way too obvious so I knew the twists before they were "revealed." I still feel like sky was the better story overall.

Egs rating is so pretentious.
Am I in minority here if I don't care one bit about egs and select games based on appealing art, likable OP movie and sometimes based on frequency of mentions on matome-blogs and such?

>>
>>15821687
EGS overrated Hoshizora no Memoria with an 83, so I can't take it seriously at all.
>>
>>15821687
EGS isn't the end all be all, but it definitely factors into my selection of games. If something has an iffy score on EGS, but I like the art, the OP, etc. then I'll probably give it a whirl anyway. But if something has a 50 on EGS it's more than likely going to be bad, whereas if it has an 85 its more than likely going to be good. I always make sure to keep it in mind.
>>
>>15821687
I think the most important standard to pick games on is the author. I can't count how many times I played a game based on art and got burned really hard. Although art does play a factor and I do trend towards games with good art, the ultimate deciding factor tends to be the author (whether it be an author I like or an author that's respected and well known). At times, I read games solely due to the synopsis because I think it'll be interesting, but usually end up dropping such games midway or after one route due to poor writing.

I am a novice to this (only 40 games fully played) so I have been going by company and /jp/ recommendations. I feel that limits my scope so maybe researching writers and staff might be the most effective.

At least no one seriously picks games based off of seiyuu.
>>
Anyone with any good doujin game recommendations before the 50% sale on DMM ends in a few days? Nice to support people on the cheap.
>>
>>15821448

>tend to be boring, as in a majority in numbers

Probably because they usually hold as the easiest-to-get heroine in games that they were in, usually with added twists later in their route. Done good, the twist would elevate their position from forgettable heroine to someone more memorable. Done bad, the twist would be seen as unnecessary drama and spoil the 'already love the MC' archetype even more.

Not the case with Ai though, because you have to befriend Miyuki too to get her. I don't know who's the easy heroine in Kakyuusei though. Everyone feels hard to get without a walkthrough.
>>
>>15821695
Purely playing it just for the main heroine and that idol character.
>>
>>15819301
I absolutely adore them most of the time. I love osananajimi-type heroines though so I am a very biased person.

>>15821448
As a whole many heroines in the medium are boring, some games may have one or two good ones out of 3/5/7 in the game. One trait doesn't make or break any heroine.

>>15821861
A lot of that depends on the writer really and shitty twist can happen in any heroine's route.
>>
>>15821832
>At least no one seriously picks games based off of seiyuu.
I've done this a few times. Always ends badly.
>>
>>15821832
>At least no one seriously picks games based off of seiyuu.
I have and regret doing so.
>>
>>15821939
Half the time, I don't want to know who the voice is or what else she's done before I've played the game. Obviously, you can't always ignore it when you start reading promotional materials, but if I recognize them I do my best to forget.

I want to like a girl for her writing and character, not because I've liked other characters voiced by the same person.

But it can be fun to find out after the fact. Like when a girl that usually does lolis plays a milf or something.
>>
>>15821861
Good explanation. I found the heroines in kakyuusei to be actually quite easy to get(unless you try to get more than 5 at the same time), though seeing more than like 50% of the available events is of course almost impossible without a guide. The flower girl was probably easiest.
After thinking about it, I realised I misunderstood your archetype when I first replied. If the heroine likes the MC before any interaction begins, I'll like her a lot. Basically >>15821902 I guess, though having bad drama in that kind of route will turn me down much more than other kinds of heroines' routes.
>>
>>15821939
I picked Island for Tamura Yukari and didn't regret it one bit.
>>
>>15821988
It is hard to separate yourself from enjoying a seiyuu. I feel more inclined to a certain heroine before touching a game due to this and I can not like a heroine from the start based off of their seiyuu.

>>15821939
>>15821974

>>
>>15822195
Not in Japanese that's for sure.
>>
>>15822201
Why do you think so?
>>
>>15821902

>shitty twist can happen in any heroine's route

Even more so for the archetype, because without the twist, other heroines with more unique traits will outshine her. After all, the writer can't make the heroine slowly falling for the MC in the middle of her route if the heroine already fall for him from the start. Unless the twist is she doesn't really love her and only act like that for something else before she falls for MC for real.

IIRC Chinatsu's bad ending had her becoming retarded and the protag losing his body, living in the slum trying to take care of her. Yeah, Nanoha got worst among the bad ends in Dive 1. As for Chinatsu I think Mao's case is just as bad if not worse since she got part of Freya's memories, and this sucks for Freya. You are severely limited with the setting on a mothercon game. With sisters you still have school and the happenings surrounding it to expand on the story. With mothers you're pretty much limited to home.

I actually wish there would be more incest games treating the topic actually seriously. Mothers or not.

You do understand that fucking your mother and fucking your little sister are quite different things?
First and foremost there is almost no demand for 年上 heroines outside of nukige in the first place. Even onee-chan types have a hard time getting accepted.
Imoutos are generally perceived as really close girls who are on the same level as a hero. It's a taboo but it's not that repulsive. It's totally possible to imagine how relationships could progress into romantic ones.

Well if you like "moeges" its a pretty decent one, just dont expect some deep story or big twists etc. A great childhood friend is not all it has; The main protagonist of the game is a pretty cool guy with being active & saving heroines at every part of the game, also there is a well made tsundere and a very cute homeless heroine in it as well. Unfortunately there are a couple of very good looking not-heroine girls in it as well though, probably you saw Chikage, Ayano or Meiko.

Also I think its better to play childhood friend's route as the last since probably you will feel guilty for going other heroines after her route.
>>
>>15824826
Aye, it was indeed Chikage.

I'm a big fan of moege/charage, so that's not an issue at all. The protagonist already sounds better than most.

What kind of tsundere are we talking here? I'm a huge fan of the "classic" variant.

Sounds decent though, I'll give it a read next.

I'm not sure which category she falls in, actually I'm not even sure if its right to call her one. She is a kind of serious character who doesn't show her love very much around the main character until the common route's end, but you can see that she actually loves him at the from-her-perspective scenes (well after the shits mc done for her, its not a big surprise though).

Anyway if you like moeges / charages I'm sure it will be an enjoyable ride for you, I really liked the family-like atmosphere of the entire game.

I'm looking forward for cosmic cute's next game with a little suspicion, their first two titles (lovesick puppies / gleamgarden no shoujo) were awesome as fuck but Love Vampire Flowers was bad enough to set everything to zero.
>>
>>15824880
Btw I forgot to mention but there's a h-scene for chikage which gets unlocked at gallery after you finish a route. Probably wont be enough for you, but still its something.
>>
>>15824941
>but Love Vampire Flowers was bad enough to set everything to zero

But it was written by Hayakari. What happened?
>>
>>15824941
Ah, gotcha. I don't know if there is something to call that, but I'm perfectly okay with it.

I love when games have a really close knit group that's basically a family.

I'll take a look at Gleamgarden as well, if I like Lovesick Puppies - which I probably will.

>>15824959
Damn, that's a nice little bonus, but still unfortunate. I love characters with designs like hers - long, straight, black hair and a mischievous/refined/demure/nee-san air/look are my fetish.
>>
>>15824976
Well apparently he is not that good at writing moeges / charages. There is nothing that made it "specially" bad, Its just purely boring and has a very bad tempo + unnecessarily long scenes with kind of dull narration definitely didnt help either. Just as someone has said at an older thread, it feels more like a shoujo manga than an eroge. It was such a letdown after the two great titles.

Horror? Mystery?
>>
>>15825088
A little horror, and there's a big mystery about MC's family / past etc which gets revealed at the true route but its not the detective kind game.

Its just that there are some people which have "special" skills and most of the society hates them very much. If they cant control their powers, >>15825076 this shit happens to them.

Pretty much same, but its way darker than just that since society hates them even if they can control. For example there's a scene where a girl runs away from the special school for those people because her teacher abuses her, Then she gets caught and beaten very badly, after that they just gang rape her and send as a test subject.

Our mc is a very awesome guy in this game; he doesnt just talk gently to the heroines until they understand, for their sakes he even beats them if its necessary and doesn't care if they see him as a villainous guy or something.

The girls dont know that they'll become something like >>15825076 if they cant control their powers, so sometimes they just dont take the controlling shit seriously, not going to classes or trying to run away etc. All of the "witchs" have an earring which lets the teacher use shockwave at their brain, and our mc is using that in this scene for example because the heroine continuously skips the classes and never listen a single word of the mc.

Its kinda hard to explain without spoiling everything though, so it might sound pretty silly.

Hell, even a game that actually touches on the topic of brother/sister incest seriously would be a nice change.
>>

Just risqué.

There are way too few games with little brown girls, I am fucking stoked.
>>
>>15825652
Bit of a spoiler but Tsumi no Hikari no Rendezvous treated the brother-sister incest more seriously than usual for an eroge.
>>
>>15825652
I think it's a bad game, but Natsu no Iro Nostalgia covered b/s incest pretty, uh, well the characters thought they were taking it seriously at least.
>>
>>15825569
Not even handlers know about final stages and how "defectives" are disposed. Protag found out by chance, when he barged into underground lab in school.
Didn't finish game myself yet, but didn't look like there was some Big Bad planning it, just usual xenophobia and humans doing not very humane things to find out how to cope with this shit. Correctional facility where protag works honestly tries to help girls, and they are encouraged by various methods to learn to control their powers as fast as possible, so its not like they are intentionally generating defectives.
>>
>>15825621
I'm perfectly fine with it, we need more brown skinned heroines.
>>
>>15825703
yep and the earrings & drugs that seal their power for a while have been made by those experiments so its not completely "evil". They just need some bodies to learn about this shit so they are using the potentially harmful ones who couldn't control their power.
>>
>>15825732
>>15825703
It seems like a very morally grey area at best, moderately evil at worst.

Would be an interesting idea for a B-movie or something though, which always come down to massive shootouts. Slap a hamfisted righteous message in there, and away we go.
>>
>>15825634
You should look at it from the reverse point of view.
Why not make a character high-schooler goddess virgin loli-mom? I think it is actually ridiculous enough to somehow work and overcome any usual problems of mom-heroines.
>>
>>15825854
Think of what defines a mom character. The unique aspects. I'll summarize some: Maturity. Body type (tend to have large breasts, symbolism and all that. beauty marks.). Age gap. Now, what does a chibi loli highschooler mom have? First, as should be obvious from her character description, no maturity. No age gap. Normal high schooler body and flat to boot. In short, this chibi loli has none of the fundamental attributes of a mom (MILF?) character. It's like saying, why not have literary girl play video games and be loud instead of quiet and a reader? Because then she's not a literary girl at all. Or why not have an imouto that's older than the MC and not blood related and calls him "MC-san"? Because then she's not an imouto in anything but some weird name.

They don't seem to be marketing her as a mom heavily, so it's not like I'm critiquing them in general, I just think there's no real point to the character.
>>
>>15825877
But she is literally a mom and there is an age gap. You're complaining about her looks and personality not matching the stereotype you personally like, which is fine, but your analogies are broken. It'd be more like an imouto character with large breasts and a mature personality. She might not appeal to fans of stereotypical imouto characters, but that doesn't make her not an imouto.
>>
>>15825981
But a "virgin" loli mother? That's quite possibly the worst combination of traits I've ever heard of. They just don't work together, from my viewpoint.

Instead of doing something unique, and having an actual proper mother character outside of a nukige, they have to bring her down in stature and validity to fit her inside a stereotypical archetype, so that autistic otaku won't throw a temper tantrum about purity.
>>
>>15825981
The analogies were meant to be analogous to removing key elements of archetypes, not 1:1 analogies in every sense. If you remove the key elements of an archetype they stop being that archetype. She may be a mom but she's not a mom character in the archetypal sense which is why I wonder what the point is.
>>
>>15825996
Yes, that's the reality of the market. You can't have a mother heroine in a non-nukige without doing some logical gymnastics with the setting to make her "pure" by hook or crook. It's that or nothing at all.

As for having a loli body/personality, I don't see the problem. Women don't spontaneously grow enormous breasts and beauty marks and start saying "ara ara" when they have a child. And I'm not sure why people would expect a heroine like that from Alcot anyway. Adult loli characters are kind of their thing, this one just happens to be a mother as well.
>>
>>15825609
Why is she still in high school? Did the MC grow up really quickly?
>>

>>
>>15827053
So who is the killer?
>>
>>15827053

While I'm not the best person to say this given that I only played like 4 chapters.. you are barking on the wrong tree here. It's not and never tried to even BE a murder mystery. The prologue alone should make that crystal clear already.
>>
>>15827096
It still qualifies like one with a serial killer on the loose. And the reaction of people to those crazy events was purely retarded. I can't and don't want to believe in a such society.
>>
>>15827220

A "serial killer" on the loose doesn't mean it's a murder mystery. First and foremost those should not feature clear supernatural aspects. If those are a "thing", then only in regards to "explain those without relying on the supernatural". See Umineko. Or Island to an extend.

In fact, adding supernatural aspects to any mystery is a very.. problematic thing. Mystery is all about rules. As soon as supernatural stuff is possible, the story can theoretically pull anything out of its ass as an explanation. Not exactly ideal.

When I read about of Root Double this is one of the issues I had. It's somewhat SF, but most seemed logical enough based on our world. Except a certain wonder-drug that does the impossible and feels like simple magic. (What exactly doesn't matter here, just the concept) As such the whole thing feels off. I don't know, and can't know, if there aren't any more random "wonder" devises that do what I'd consider impossible. It takes away the fun to think about the mystery.
Mori Dreamers doesn't even bother to lay out a big mystery, perhaps precisely because of that. It's quite troublesome to define the exact laws of their world, though admittedly it's still rather tame. But, you know, stuff like "speaking with ghosts" or whatever and getting to know what happens through that.. ain't how mystery is supposed to happen...

Apparently Chuuni Hime no Teikoku got delayed once more, this time to an unknown date. Its the 4th or 5th fucking delay, it has been almost one year since the original release date.

Such a shame, I was thinking of purchasing if they could make a good brown-skinned maid route, but now I definitely wont spend my money with it since I already lost my hype and it doesn't seem like they'll be able to release it in the next 3-4 months.

Might just be "Rewrite" all over again, even though the names aren't quite that prominent, nor the game seeming to be any more than a simple moege. I hope it'll be at least a good one, given the staff/writer(s).
>>
>>15827714
>>15827725
While I know there have been a few notable exceptions, if a game has been delayed that many times it's probably a safe bet it'll be a total mess if and when it ever comes out.
>>
>>15827734

Yeah. Especially from a new company it's pretty much sure to be a certain failure.
>>
>>15827759

>>
>>15827759
All sorts of things can happen. Funding problems, writer's block, people simply walking out. Realizing halfway through that your game is complete dogshit and needs to be scrapped and redone.
>>
>>15827776
But you'd delay it like a half year or something if those "big" problems happens, right? Since they just kept delaying for one or two months it should be something small, something can be fixed in a couple days.
>>
>>15827804
Since they're a new brand, I'd bet it's a combination of funding/time issues and severely misjudging the amount of work each step of the process takes.

Plus, remember that smaller eroge companies often operate more like doujin circles than professional software houses. They might just be busy with their day jobs or whatever and haven't had that much time to work on their game. If they don't have a proper office that they have to pay rent etc. for (they don't have an address listed on their site, so they probably don't), it doesn't cost them much to just keep delaying it until it's done.

Genres have nothing to do with amount of fucks writer has given about his characters. There are games one could qualify as "moege", yet still have rich personalities and interesting developments. There are "plotge" which are same cardboard shit as your generic moege of month.
I don't have much time to read VNs, can do about 4 in best month, and finished only 1 in last 3 months because overworked as fuck and playing DMM mobage instead in whatever little free time I get. As result I can be very nitpicky and still have huge backlog.
