Well it's not like this hasn't been done before, Leon and Lola were both promoted as virtual instruments and not as characters but this clearly did not work for them.

Yeah I don't get why they didn't just call her VY3 and went with a similar design to VY1/VY2, I really loved their names and the whole design philosophy (comfy non-humanoid covers etc.)

I guess they were trying to cash in on the character vocal crowd a bit, but I think they should've fully went with one or the other, to me it comes off more like "she's kinda like miku but not really", VYs had a true virtual instrument design/marketing

I can understand the "kinda samey" argument, but I think he does what he does well. His instrumentation, feel good pop rock though it may be, is usually very "him" (the keyboard and strings especially) and I really love the way he tunes Miku. Future Live is a PSVR launch title. X HD has PSVR support. Future Live is not a Project Diva game, however, and doesn't actually have any gameplay. It's a VR experience.

It's a virtual concert. I made a pretty detailed post about it a couple threads ago. Basically, all you do is wave glow sticks around. There's two confirmed DLCs that will come out this year, but I don't think a song list has been released yet. From screenshots, there's at least 4 songs but I don't know how many total are for launch.

Okay I found some videos about it, and it looks okay, not worth buying the whole setup just for the experience, but worth checking out if you already have the hardware. The demo has at least 8 songs so the full version should have many more, and with the promise of DLC it may end up being something that keeps you coming back to it, instead of finishing in a few hours and never playing it again.

Those motion controls look awkward and the constant menus popping up on the center of the screen looks annoying as all heck. It's cool that it utilizes 3D sound and supports 7.1 sound systems, but you'd better already have that kind of setup, and unfortunately 7.1 headphones sound like shit, and I don't want them so I won't be getting to experience it that way.

Another positive is it looks like it uses official motion data, and the single best feature: doesn't stop you from looking up skirts. Super interesting. I'll get this once there's at least four or five good PSVR titles but I definitely won't be buying any of this stuff when they launch.

I started out doing the same thing, and I still find them harder to play with on the vita games. But yeah I find the hitsounds really useful in FT and less annoying since they have different ones preset for each song, I jsut keep them at 6 and the music at 10 so they're there when I need them but not so loud that they drown everything out.

Button sounds are, some would argue, necessary for rhythm games. Just like typing on devices with good tactile feedback helps the typing process by giving your fingers confirmation that you pushed the button, button sounds are auditory feedback for ears that do the same thing. I prefer short, snappy, responsive sounds, usually clap, stick, or wood block b 2nd.
