IIRC skilled lookouts, ASW equipment and searchlights increased the fish drop rates, but apparently if you fished too much the drop rate would decrease. Still, it's not like they won't drop anymore if that happens; I managed to get 30 fish in 11 hours camping at 3-3 doing last minute fishing for a friend.

This is a probably bit late, but what does "Air Defense" actually supposed to do? Save your resources? Or protect your planes' stock during an encounter with an attack against your land bases to enable them to still be effective?

Some regular map drops now were event-only at some point in time. Whether this will happen to all event ships or not nobody knows. Adding them to normal maps is a slow process anyways, not to mention the drop rates are often worse, you're better off looking forward to get them in future events.

Nope, I wanted to challenge my fleet and and believe in them until the very end. I honestly don't care, some mats and one equipment piece isn't enough for me to care, and I had no attachments to any of the new ships that'll be obtainable in later events anyways. Currently, all drops from spring 2015 onwards are not available in normal maps, with the exception of summer 2015's Mizuho and Kazagumo. All drops up to winter 2015 are permanently available outside of events.

Event rewards:
With the exception of summer 2014's Isokaze, all other event rewards up to summer 2014 are currently permanently available outside of events. However, Isokaze has been made temporarily available for a while, as was spring 2015's Littorio and summer 2015's Libeccio. Other than that, with the exception of autumn 2014's Nowaki, winter 2015's Katori, spring 2015's Akitsushima, and summer 2015's Kawakaze and Hayasui, no other ship after summer 2014 has been made available outside of events.

All the mentioned exceptions regarding permanent availability are either destroyers or auxiliary ships.

Waifu/main shipslut Hiyou is a CVL with Slow speed, as I learned this afternoon. But, uh, wasn't the point of being Light to be Fast? The fuck is that?

So, what does Speed affect? And for that matter, where do CAs fit in to a 6-bote fleet? Almost all of the CAs are Fast, like DDs and CLs, but none of the one-time quests indicate how you arrange CAs.
