Those gross-ass power lines all over the place. Also the kanji.

>All power lines above ground

They have lawns and a few trees in that park, what are you complaining about? You some kind of tree-hugging hippie?
>>
>What about pictures of Japan makes you immediately realize that your looking at a picture of Japan btw?

I tried to include things that were not too obvious

overhead wiring
road mirrors
clean small streets with properly painted lines
cube shaped cars
ductless split AC units
rectangular beige or pastel colored apartment blocks
long pedestrian crosswalk lines on pavement
horizontally mounted stoplights
side gutters on streets
yellow pavement dividers
hilly areas with heavy lush vegetation
small width rusty train rails
concrete tetrapods
narrow clean alleys
vending machines with actual sample product illuminated in the display window
>>

If you want a forest, you go to a place that has one, away from the city. Hell, even Shinjuku has a park that looks like a forest.

Textbooks are written privately, approved by the government, and individual school districts choose from the list of approved textbooks.
>>
>>15750021

Besides what >>15750094 said, the PTA also is all-powerful.

That being said, communism is more tolerated in Asia than in the west because a lot of communism's ideals mesh well with eastern philosophy on conformity and especially Confucianism.
>>
>>15737702
Japan actually implemented the world's first forest preserve system because the peasants were chopping down trees for firewood and fishing boats that the daimyo needed for their giant wooden castle pissing contests. That system never went away, so Japan still has a huge portion of its land area occupied by forests.

I understand that the teacher's union may have a lot of political power, but my own experiences with unions is that most members tend to ignore a lot of the overt political propaganda unions push and only really deal with the union when it comes time for a strike vote.

Basically, I guess I could see how individual teachers would be able to cherry pick from textbooks and give slanted lectures on communism, but I can't really see union radicalism at the top trickling down into the classrooms in any significant amounts.

Remember the fights over the national anthem? When the government decides to give the union the finger on mandatory singing of kimigayo? The union kicked up a stink and a few teachers got fired but most teachers just rolled over and went along with new government policy without any real effective protest.

It was 100% comfy
The kids (about 15 of them) were collecting a large amount of frogs in a bucket while the adults(also about 15) all helped out. The kids then dumped all the frogs at once and you had a stream of frogs just flowing down the irrigation canal. The host also provided a meal made with their own harvest from last year.

They had a secret kinda underground stream behind the home that had fresh mountain water to soak your feet or wash up after. I spoke no Japanese and understood none, but they tried to communicate as best as they could in English.

Did not take a lot of pictures on that day.

Speaking as someone in a labor union and whose parents were both union workers, we generally give far more of a shit when it comes to voting on contract renegotiation terms than striking. Striking doesn't happen as often as people seem to think.

All looks kind of similar to Taiwan if you disregard the Japanese text. OP's pic might as well have been taken in the rural part of Hsinchu.

Any town with over 5,000 people in Japan is literally a fucking concrete jungle, there's more asphalt than actual grass festering up the joint. Also, houses and cars in Japan have a slightly different look than houses and cars you could find someplace else.

The cars seem to look very boxy to me. I like Japan for the waterways or just bodies of water which kinda serves a decorative purpose almost everywhere.

Someone's never been to Tokyo/Osaka/Kawasaki or any other Japanese city.
The countryside is clean in any first world country.

You could shoop that out, or even just crop it out. Go from bottom left corner, there's a bunch of green down there that wouldn't be missed if you cropped it.

Same with this one. It would look a lot better if it weren't for the overcast.
Better come back next year.

It's not a bad thing: to show the reality of nature is best. I hate when people say "I have to make sure this piece of trash isn't in the frame" or something like that.
To show reality is the best thing ever.

People on some boards usually call it autism but I was simply raised to be critic, always looking for ways to improve and when you walk a couple of hundred steps with 32 ℃ (95 °F) just to see Fuji-san being Tsun can be a little frustrating.
