It's exactly this, it's quite off putting, especially if it's an artist I used to sort of look up to, or relate to through their music. While they might be feeling like climbing stairs, to me it's opposite, I'm losing respect for them and what made them "unique" is just dead.

Might be because "success" gets to their head, or maybe a culture thing.

That's sad news,,,Honestly so many good VocaPs have stopped using Vocaloid so they can produce content with a subpar utaite. The only time I approved this was for supercell (because I disliked his miku tuning.)

And the only utaite I care about is EVO+, the others are such...tryhards.... I don't even care for Reol and I hate the "hey guys let's upload the utaite version and Vocaloid version of the song at the same time ecks dee" method and the utaite subpar version gets more views. That's the worst.

I don't care about producer anonymity as much, I've met with nice producers overall in my experiences. I really don't think it takes away or improves someones perception of their reputation to me, unless they show themselves to be more of an assbag.

I suppose but still it's disappointing to support a producer who uses your favorite chinese anime girl singing synth and suddenly they take the money you've spent over the years on obtaining singles and albums and pisses it away on signing to a label to work with a subpar utaite or who tier singer.

But that's not all, then the albums they do pump out with the new singer never resemble the Vocaloid hits they used to make. The new music they make sounds more soulless than 2007 Miku V2 singing off key for a cover using midi instrumentals. At that stage, the cold machine sound isn't from someone messing around with Vocaloid 1, it's the producer on their last breaths trying to make a deadline for their new album and photo meet and greet at select Animate shops. The utaite then scrambles to make his/her next stylist appointment so that they look ready for the camera and inevitable press release.

There are a few exceptions to this rule but when it happens to your favorite producer, it hurts so bad to see them spiral down into nothing.

Also again, don't forget vocaloid is a small dying niche; Giga wouldn't be able to make a living from vocaloid music. Work with a human vocalist is the natural next step if he wants music to be his career, and he couldn't have a better vocalist than Reol.

Anyway, I didn't like "Give me a break stop now". Hope the next songs resemble better the usual Giga style.

I'm with you two as well. Got into Vocaloid because of kous back when it all started, followed him closely every day always waiting for every single of his PVs/new releases; no other vocaP had this much impact on me although I listen to quite a lot of stuff. Forward year 2014 he stops making Vocaloid music, or just release one random song on a compil or something then announces he's going to work with some random utaite. Proceeds to make shit music.

The visuals are also goddamn awful, it stinks hipster shits. Her voice doesn't fit his style (or at least the one he had) at all. He used to always write really melancholic, depressing or bittersweet songs and she sings like some fat gyaruko, it's just shit, fuck this.

I don't care if I sound like a brat or something, it's just such a waste. He might have never been popular (because his style wasn't for everyone) he truly had something special and I loved the works he would do with hie and ef. Right now I'm not even sure he's still in contact with hie (who is not even drawing anymore either) and ef left to make her own band.

Yup, Giga-P is probably my favorite producer ever since I got into Vocaloid, and I would be really sad to see him go. He hasn't released a Vocaloid song in a while too which is kinda worrying. I also love Reol and everything they work together on is great, but it wouldn't be the same thing without Vocaloid.

I agree with everyone else here, it's awful to see producers trying to move on from Vocaloid only to fail miserably. I get that they want to make something on their own and be able to put their face on it, but a lot of the time just being talented isn't enough to make it in the music industry, you have to be marketable, and that´s where Vocaloid really shines.

I'll admit I can't say I've listened to every single vocaloid song released this year, like with C90 just recently, or everything uploaded to NND. I do try to stay on the ball, and make what I, at least, think is a pretty good effort at keeping up with new releases. And Ghost Rule is the only song that's racked up more than one or two listens. I didn't play the Fs so I don't know how that system worked, but from what I can tell, it brings up a little interface that looks like a video editor, with 4 tracks: ステージ演出、　ワンショット演出、　ライト、　カメラ。 I think the first two are stage effects and one-shot effects, the last two are clearly light and camera. I don't see anything about choreography or anything in the help tips, either.
So, as far as I can tell, she just sings the song and does the established dance routine, but you can pick where the camera is and what it's doing at any point in time.

Playing on this is surprisingly fun. The buttons aren't quite as stiff as I'd like, although I'm sure I could swap the springs, but the upstroke is pretty poppy, so that's nice. they also actuate like immediately, maybe 5mm actuation point, so if you don't keep your fingers up, you'll accidentally trigger one by bumping it. There's also a lot of wiggle in the buttons but I've never played on arcade style buttons before so maybe that's normal.

Some modules are made specifically for songs that featured a special design in the album art or illust or PV, like 1/6 or Weekender Girl. Travolta just used regular old Rin. In F 2nd, clearing Kokoro unlocked the Fairy One Piece module, but the Fairy module isn't necessarily the Kokoro module. The Fairy module is also in FT, it's called フェアリーワンピース

It has a lot of songs but to be honest like half of them are filler. That's still over 100 good songs, though.
What really sells it for me is how much better the arcade gameplay is than the console. Once you get used to holds and multis, it's so goddamn fun.
I'm working on X HD right now and some of the songs are really good, like, just to die for, and the medleys, too, but longs and scratches suck.

I got some intense sticker shock when I figured out I'd spend close to $700 for the PS4, the 2 games, and controller, but I haven't played a video game since like 2010 I guess so it works out. I really feel bad for the guys who missed out on the controller. It's a totally different experience.
