You know, there's something I don't think many people have realized.

Mamizou does NOT want Kosuzu to become a youkai. In fact, several times she directly interferes with Kosuzu or warns her when things are getting a little too youkai with her.

What she wants is that bookstore. If Kosuzu just became a youkai, she'd lose Suzunaan and a very valuable piece of the human village. Basically, it'd be like losing a little youkai haven in the middle of the village
