Only if VR glasses/implants/contacts become a reliable thing with accurate GPS. I imagine people who dedicate a lot of time into the game eventually start doing parkour and doing flips and shit all over the place to make up for the lack of flight.

I don't think that would work out. AR games are too slow, and the movement is generally pretty stiff. You'd have to walk a yard or so to dogde one bullet, and by then you'd get fucked by the other oncoming bullets.
