This is the first episode of Especia’s new regular radio program on SORAxNIWA Harajuku
When Haruka asks what everyone’s plans for summer are, Erika mentions that she wants to go to the beach.
Haruka mentions that she wants Especia to perform at many summer music festivals
While this is Especia’s third radio program they’ve hosted, this is the first time they’re recording the show live.
The program is recorded at a studio in Harajuku open to the public.
When Haruka asks Mia if this is her first time doing this, Mia just giggles and mumbles in Portuguese that she’s nervous to which Erika follows along and mention that she should just follow their lead.
Mia just giggles and mumbles small Japanese greetings/phrases here and there shyly.
By using the hashtag #soraxniwa fans can send messages to the girls on the radio program.
LUCKY TAPES, who Especia performed with at Squid Master #7 appeared as guests on the show.
The girls congratulate the band for reaching their 2nd anniversary.
LUCKY TAPES explain that they have a Shibuya-kei, City Pop sound.
LUCKY TAPES got together since they all came from the same town and eventually went to uni together.
LUCKY TAPES mentioned that they were moved when they went on tour around Japan to realise that there were many people who knew their music.
LUCKY TAPES will be performing at Fuji Rock this summer, which is like a dream for them as they’ve always wanted to do that.
Haruka and Especia mention that they have been listening to LUCKY TAPES new album Cigarettes & Alcohol (which is released this week) every single day in the morning and before going to bed.
The album was made within three months and recorded over two days while the group stayed over with each other (to which Erika mentions she read about in an interview before).
LUCKY TAPES were asked about their influences which they mentioned included Chupa Chups and Michael Jackson.
The group mentioned that before they were LUCKY TAPES, they disbanded once but once they got back together to catch up, they realised that they were all listening to Michael Jackson’s Love Never Felt So Good.
They went into the studio and recorded a cover for fun and eventually formed LUCKY TAPES
Haruka: “What do you think would happen if that song didn’t exist?”
LUCKY TAPES: “We probably wouldn’t be together.”
Erika: “So, if Michael Jackson didn’t die, then any of this wouldn’t have happened. Yokatta desu ne.”
Towards the end, Especia ask if LUCKY TAPES could write Especia a song one day, someday.
Erika mentions that recording live makes her a lot more nervous than usual.
Haruka asks how Mia felt to which she just answers by giggling and then shyly says “Kinchou shimasu. (I’m nervous).”
Mia closes the show by saying “See next week!” in Portuguese and giggles during the fade out. (Thanks Anon for the clarification!)

i'd have to agree. kechon is slowly, very slowly growing on me but she's still probably my least favorite of the remaining members. i feel like like kechon has, or had, more of a clear shtick than chibo ever did, but chibo was a little easier on the eyes i suppose. and considering i only genuinely like a handful of their songs, them being cute is all i really pay attention to when it comes to YLMLM

9AM, already a shitload of people in line. I guess it was because Ano/Mone/Chibo fans wanted to be sure to get their chekki (I don't know if the last of the line got his). No problem if you were aiming for the other members.

Part 1
Both setlist were more or less organised in a chronological order
I wasn't ready for the "old-gen" costumes (they switched costumes six times during both parts).

Dat "Bazooka" that each member used in turns during the MC to launch signed tshirts into the crowd. I'm really looking the forward the pic of the pose that Napi-chan did.
Also, there was some "incident" during natsu on blue

Don't know if it was a staff, but some guy placed a 360° camera in the front of the stage. If these images got realeased in 360° mode, it's gonn be gorgeous.

During the interlude, I finally understood what the huge cardboad box that some of the regular guys were carrying around contained: chemical glowstick for everyone (They got hundreds of them).

Part 2:
They decided that it was a good idea to play Yoi Yoi, Kawaii Hardcore, Hamidasumo , ID Idol and Only You one after the other.
Speaking of Only You, the infrastructure of the Studio Coast allowed some pretty cool smoke and flammes effects, it was impressive.

The graduation part was pretty moving. Seeing Chiffon watching the floor during Chibo's speech to hide her tears almost got me, but I think that was seeing one of the regular Mone fans crying like a children during Sayonara baka-chan that makes me also burst a little bit into tears. Seeing Ano loosing her words and crying during the last MC didn't helped a lot. The last Nigero! with six members was particularly emotionnal, I ended up lifting as most Chibo and Mone wotas as possible, while people where broking into tears during the mix.

Just after the live, they decided to project the MV of one of the the song of the new mini album. It was pretty energic and high pitched (I heard some people speaking of Dempagumi, as they also did a sing speaking of SUMMEEEER).
The MV was fun and light hearted, with the four remaining members taking holidays/working in a ryokan and doing shit. One of their manager play the ryokan boss for the trivia. So the mood was a bit less sad, until the last scene of the MV, where the last 4 remaining members board a train, and the on the plateform Mone and Chibo seeing goodbye while the train move away . An other stream of tears ensued.

tldr; that was cool, but a bit sad at the same time. Buy the new CD. And one last time: Thanks for all Mone and Chibo ;_;

Besides drum/vocals, she is the one who came up with the concept for BanMon years ago and works on various other aspects of the group. Essentially, she doubles as a producer.
Her drumming adds a lot to how high-energy BanMon live performances are.

There's a slight difference in the word コール and　口上. A call would be considered stuff like "ore no, chittii" or "hai see no ha-i ha-i hai hai hai hai!". A 口上 (koujou, voice message) is a bit longer and is usually done in the long instrumental parts of the song.

Being "underground" isn't about the popularity, it's more of a mindset about how you go about your activities.

In Japan, the overground idols would be those with polished images like AKB and MomoClo. Something that are big and hhighly commercial.

An underground idol is considered to be something that has that self-produced, approachable vibe to it. A great example would be Dempagumi.inc, which have become extremely popular but still have that personal, UG-style vibe. Of course, this "underground" vibe is fading as their making more commercial tieups, but with the group trying to keep the approachable vibe their still being true to their underground roots.

It's all semantics, but i'd make the "overground"/"underground" distinction along these lines.
