Let's have a weeb music 3x3 thread /jp/. It can be anything - anime soundtracks, Vocaloid, Touhou, regular Japanese artists, whatever - as long as it's Japan-related.

Remember, 3x3 isn't supposed to be a measure of objective quality - just your favorites.

Dont wanna make a 3x3, but Swell Strings by Onoken, the Taiyou no Uta OST, Shine by Luna Sea, and bpm by marasy and kors k are all pretty good, especially the track "Stray" from the Taiyou no Uta OST. Promise me you'll check stray out, jay.

It should be doujin ongaku exclusively since this is /jp/ not /a/.

Pic related are the ones I liked back in M3-30.

After deciding on 9 albums that coud pass for my favorites it turns out the album covers weren't aesthetic in the slightest, so I gave up.
>>
>>15502231
You could try 無力P’s other albums, though they don't quite have the gothic sound like eschatology. -45 does good gothic, his latest c89 release BlackLotus was pretty good. But there isn't anything that perfectly matches eschatology, it's the curse for listening to it

Autism warning.

The first album is called LVZ. It is a mainly eletronica/electronic album, following subtle industrial-style tones, but in a complex soft fashion, rather than industrial's normally harsh and clear-cut noise. It also features several remixes of Funwari-chans (the pseudo-vocaloid used for the pseudo-vocals), in a pop style sung by real live utaites. It also features ambient tracks.

The second is Puella Magi, an unbelievably powered and high-level album. It wouldn't surprise me that many of you can't get through the entirety of the first three songs, no offense meant. It is complex music, featuring both stunning simplicity but structured perfection, powered by the artist (Go-Qualia) singularly powerful autism. It features strong ambient themes, and the artist has set one of the tags, on bandcamp, as "virgin". Overall, it is electronic/electronica and strongly experimental. It has very subtle/no-ties to the anime series unde the similar name, but rather the theme of magical girls.

Nearing character limit so {cont}
>>
>>15557874
The third is the Refrain of Evangelion. It features many of the most popular songs from the hit-wonder anime, Neon Genesis Evangelion, such as the iconic "Cruel Angel's Thesis" and the wonderful song from End of Evangelion, "Expansion of Blockage" as well as songs by Shiro Sagisu, the composer of the music of Evangelion. I feel this one is personal taste. You may dismiss it.

The fourth is SoulS, a pop-style collectiong of Studio Campanella's (a studio founded by the reputable bermei.inazawa) many songs and remixes. It is electronic, but mostly pop/pop-rock. It is also highly positive, but features such world-impacting iconic songs such as "Englishman in New York" and "翼をください (Give Me Wings)" If you don't know what the second one is, you are a massive fucking plebeian, I am sorry.

The fifth one is pure ambient, called "Strange Dreams", by the artist Itsuki. It is a soft, sweet and nostalgic album that is hard to explain. It features very little percussion, rhythm, and high BPM. It is, in essence, a purely ambient album, but at the same time, the structures of the song are not careless, or mishappen, but colorful and free-flowing. It is availible for FREE on bandcamp, in MP3 CBR, MP3 VBR, FLAC, ALAC and WAV.
Get it folks.

>>
>>15557906
The sixth album is 亜. It is very difficultly translated into the meaning of "second" or "coming after", as well as "China" and "nitrous". Taking note from the songs, and the lyrics/words/meanings of the songs, it probably has something to do with the second part of life, humanity, the afterworld... or simply what comes after. It is a strong electronica (as well as electronic album), with many different song structures, produced by Calla Soiled. It features slow ambient tracks, with ominous sounds, as well as more fast-paced, percussion-strong rhythmical tracks. If you are a fan of all things eletronic + vocaloid, this album will hit home runs with you. Even if you are not, it is the artist's magnum opus, and what got him popular in the doujin scene. It was also his first solo album uploaded by pirates in FLAC.

The seventh is a somewhat obscure vocaloid (purely by the vocaloid Hatsune Miku) album, composed and produced by the once popular LOLI.COM, who mysteriously vanished and stopped producing music, such as many others did in the early days of vocaloid. This album is from 2009, yet it features Hatsune Miku tuning and equalizing unlike anything I've ever heard. Perfect, almost harmonious pop songs, along with some jazzy/bossa-nova rhythms, and easy-listening tracks sure to please any vocaloid fangay. It is availible in FLAC and MP3 on both miku.db and DLSITE.

Penulimately, we have album eight, called 消えてゆく、君のうたごえ, also known as "Diminishing Singing Voice", composed by the mysterious and ill-fated BUNGALANGIT. It is a beautiful album, with slow, melancholic tones, and saddening harmonies, yet also features more happy jazz tracks. It's genius and purity is rivaled only by the fact that is is unknown, which is tragic. It exclusively features the vocaloid Megurine Luka, in her perhaps most beautiful and unique album ever produced.

Finally, album nine is an album that I physicall own (along with album 1, 2, 6 and 8). It is a house/electronic/up-beat set of electronic-style remixes of various songs from K-ON. Having never watched the K-ON anime, I didn't recognize any of the songs, but I knew the artists, and surprisingly, the songs were absolutely bouncing and great to listen to, as well as to dance to. This one is personal preference and can be ignored. It cannot be found anywhere online (private trackers, public trackers, chink forums, doujinstlyle, etc.), and I am also one of the few to own a physical copy. Just autism I guess.

this one especially bothers me because Ultra Abunai and Super Aura were both considerably better. it's like that album killed cubegrams.

also seems pretty weird to not have a single Vocaloid or Touhou album in an "intro to electronic doujin music." Should just be called intro to j-core.

I guess I'll use this thread to ask.

I'm looking for a really chill vocal arrangement of the PCB song "Mystic Oriental Dream ~ Ancient Temple". I remember listening to it a few years back and now I can't find it anywhere.

The best way I can describe it is chill and vocal, and it has a techno vibe to it, I guess? I'm not stellar at describing songs.
