Natsuki's fake vagina construction, in case anyone's curious. Posted on his twitter recently.

Re the various discussions on bodyshaping, and in case it might be of any help to anyone, here's the stuff I use having experimented quite a bit to get to this particular mix. I'm 5'8", 152lbs.

__Boobs
A pair of soft silicone ones, 1000g each, drop shaped. Goes into the breast pockets of the hadatai.

__Waist
Having tried a wide range of different corsets I've ended up using a boned, non-laced rubber based one with sholder straps and a front zipper hiding the hooks. It's way more comfortable to move around in than any of the laced ones I've tried and still does the trick. If I need to smooth things up I'll use one or two bodyshapers that ends just underneath the bust line.

__Hips
Silicone hip pads, DressTech, size: L. Held in place by a thin pair of short tights and a slightly thicker pair of pantyhose. My shoulders are quite broad and the substantially sized hips offsets this a bit to help sell the overall illusion.

__Crotch
I tuck using two gaffes pulled tight and, on top of that, a pair of panties with a kind of built in cup holding things in place. Works great, no bulge, and all the layers of fabric in the crotch area helps smooth things out quite a bit.

__Hadatai
...and then all of the above goes underneath an Ayame hadatai.

__Yet to be fixed
I should probably get a pair of silicone butt pads to make the proportions become more even. Currently, the fairly large hips make my butt look weirdly flat.

1) According to charmingkitsune (http://www.charmingkitsune.com/#!faq/cam6) GKO and Kana Kig order zentais from another seller and then modify them. Is this true? Anyone know what they do to modify them?

The Revy mask is cute and the hadatai with the tattoo looks good. The lighting isn't great and the location (looks like a basement) could use work. Full body shots would also exhibit the costume better. As for the guns, you might as well remove the orange caps, or paint over them if you're doing a photo shoot indoors.

I just noticed her gloves are missing. It's a minor oversight and doesn't affect her appearance that much.

I just noticed, but the boots seem to be a little too... Civilian looking. They are accurate to what they look like in the anime, but I suppose they look a bit more rugged without the texture and lighting. With lighting, they seem too rubbery.

On another note, are the teeth in your mask removable? It would be interesting to see a prop cigarette in her mouth, like that one Kyoko mask with a pocky.

Seeing as how there is a Revy already out there, a Motoko mask might be the better choice. I think there already exists a Motoko kigurumi out there, but as I recall it's not the greatest. Getting her figure down might be challenging.

And here I was getting excited on the prospect that someone who does kigurumi would be on this board. It seems that everybody seems to get scared off, or leaves due to aggregation. I wouldn't blame them, the attitude here isn't exactly friendly to people who aren't perfect Japanese kigurumi.

Here's hoping GKO will make it character accurate. Thinking about it, I could also consider getting a Priss (From Bubblegum Crisis) mask. Though that would be a pain and then some to get a costume for, I imagine. Perhaps Motoko is the best choice for me as of now.

Are you talking about the original, or Tokyo 2040? If it's the former, then seeing a Priss kigurumi with a full hardsuit would be amazing. Not too sure how that would work, seeing as how the masks themselves are already large. A helmet that could cover a mask would be cartoonishly huge.

As for a Motoko mask, a manga version of her would be neat.

I just remembered, there is a Priss kigurumi based off her Tokyo 2040 already out in the airwaves. Charming Kitsune made it, but I don't know who owns it.

Though the fact that there exists a person out there who did the character first shouldn't dissuade anybody from trying her themselves.

I'm in a different situation. I've gone through most of the stages of making a mask (making a model, casting a silicone mould, making the mask itself out of resin) but I'm at a bit of a road block as to what to do next. I'm not sure how to style her eyes and I still need to finish off the ears. Excuse the poor photography. The painter's tape is to protect the nose and chin before I get her primed and painted.

Surely there must be some portly characters you can portray. The mask also does a good job making your body seem smaller, as it changes your proportions. Though this only works for photography, where there are no clear comparisons. It's also vital that the mask is large enough. A small mask on a large frame just looks bad.

I was on ayame store looking at hadatai mods, and they suggest a first time buyer NOT get breast pockets. Is it really THAT difficult having the breast pockets? Breasts are an important part of the character I intend to do.

I'd have to disagree with you. VG is a Western kigurumi, and she looks better than most of the people in the AX picture. Then there's Kaga and Haru.

I'm not trying to shit all over the AX crowd, but the level of quality is really apparent. It's a little disheartening to see the most public Western kigurumi look so slipshod, and it only helps reinforce the image of "creepy middle aged men trying to look like teenage anime girls" stereotype. Not that kigurumi is anything beyond that, but I think people can appreciate it as more of a super-detailed form of cosplay rather than guys cross dressing if more effort was put into it.

Kigurumi was always something I've wanted to do, but the opportunity never came to me. I may be giving off a gross fanboy impression right now by saying people like you are an inspiration to me. I am gonna do it, I am finally gonna get into this after thinking about it for five years, but need some advice.

I am ~6'1" male, overweight for my height by about 5 pounds, fairly broad shoulders. Obviously male by sight.

The questions:

1) What mask should I use for my height so i don't appear oddly proportioned with the mask size?

2) Any work outs that reduce body fat but don't add too much muscle?

3) How do I disguise my shoulders and what sort of padding/ shape-wear should I use for fleshing out the figure

You might wanna consult the manufacturers. If you are worried about your height, you can always order a custom sized mask to make your body seem shorter or thinner. Most asian masks are probably too small for someone your size.
Probably best way to "hide" shoulders is to emphasize your hips or chest (i.e get fake breasts).
Unfortunately I don't know anything about burning fat, but Google does.

anything but raigeki pretty much. a lot of people on here like to nitpick about proportions but it is really only an issue with super small masks like his. ayame/GKO/RINs/etc are all fine. but if you are really concerned about that then get a custom from the latter 2.

stop drinking soda (srs). run for 30 minutes a week day. eat less. may be daunting at first but once you make a routine out of it, it becomes super easy to shed weight.

breh GKO doesn't do full customs. GPM-4 is their largest shell n I still look like a shit brickhouse in it. Also I don't think Rins does custom scaling either but ye could ask em I guess.

Cardio. Running, like the other anon suggested is a good idea, as it can build thigh/butt muscles, which means possibly less hip padding necessary.

With kigurumi, you can pretty much artificially correct everything except weight and height. So becoming a superfgt isn't necessary, but that's your prerogative if you want to go that hard.

Wide shoulders are due to bone structure more than muscle/fat (usually, unless you're super overweight or lift heavy for cannonball delts or something), so your best bet is to work your lower body to put mass on and around your hip area while doing cardio to burn mass everywhere else (i.e. your shoulders). Or you can pad if you're lazy.
