Try this: look around at your guy and girl friends and see how their heights compare. Or just walk outside on a normal day and look at random men and women and see for yourself. What is /kcs/'s thoughts on Justin Bailey masks? I was considering getting one to start out with until I'm able to get a full custom because of their lower price. I mean, they're no sigma but they look much better than Wyu's.

I do offer "full customs" in the "shape of the shell is customized to the character rather than being a preexisting design" sense, although not in the sense of "done completely from scratch" (I start from a previous model file for my custom shells but since I'm using digital models the shape can be adjusted arbitrarily).

That's mostly a problem with Erika (the mask in that picture). If I were to make yet another version of her I would move her eyes further apart, but I think I've made enough new versions of her, and I'll stick with this version for now. The next kig I make for myself will definitely be an established character rather than a new version of Erika (narrowed it down to two but I'm not sure which of them I'll make first).

Yes, it is. All the different makers build theirs to different sizes. If you're saving up to buy one, they always give sizes so you know what you're getting, or you could order something custom made to your own head measurements.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. Unless you get a mask significantly larger than your head, it shouldn't look too out of place. There's a bit of leeway with animated characters, so unless you go Jack In The Box huge, it should work in your favor more or less. The real concern is making sure you don't get mask that's too small. It's really noticeable when a kig's head is too small for there body and they end up looking like a literal pinhead.

It's not that, it's more about figuring out how an animated character's head is going to fit on your real human body. It's all about proportions.

Here's all three size in one pic. The left kig obviously went to big for their build and now they look like the hunchback of notre fuck. The right kig's head is way too small and they look like a crazy person grabbed the first mask they could find to rob a bank in. The middle kig gotit right for their particular build, and looks the least ridiculous.

Ayame hadatai are of good quality but costly. Unless you are rich, you don't want to mess arond in it unless you're in cons or photoshoots.

Goukaou hadatai is good and rather inexpensive. Material is vey silky and smooth but tends to be thin (you need to wear an opaque white zentai beneath) If you're into zentai etc, this hadatai si good for daily use (outside kig).

Other zentai (ebay, aliexpress, etc). Rubbish. Colors don't match and sizing kind of fucks up (e.g. finger made too short)

I agree hadatai is a crucial part of Kigurumi.

$200 is not cheap but relatively affordable if you compare to other Hadatai makers in Japan. Gyotti charges $300+ for one, and the old-fashioned Precure hadatais (called separated type) go up to $450 each subject to limited availability.

I'm really interested in getting one from Gyotti (having a few Ayame ones already), but I haven't been able to find any info other than a website that seems to be completely void of any recent udpate. Any Ideas on how to approach a purchase?

Also, compared to their level a few years ago, I find a slight lack of attention to detail in the seams in recent Ayame hadatais. Especially around the gloves, hips and in between the breast pockets.
