I have 35k fuel left on hard mode and it doesn't look like I'll be able to clear it. My girls can't even get to the boss reliably anymore (fucking trollsubs).

Kuso mode. Some anon posted a compo which could get you reliably to the boss node or D node while being cheap on baux unless the boss was in diamond formation.

Almost 50k fuel spent for 43 runs to boss node, 13 runs to D node. Roughly 20k baux spent, but I was running a baux-heavy fleet for the D node runs before I was shown better.

I personally brought the Fusous instead of Bongos for their huge 23-Zuiun slots since I had the Baux to burn, they often ko'd 1-2 trash, and they usually survived with 50% losses at most, even against diamond formation boss.

This is after going through one air node.
A, F, L take 2/2 each, N took 2/3. Total 8/9.
Air node didn't take whole bars.
Air node only takes a fraction of bar which only becomes relevant after you go through multiple of them. I'm glad I remembered to screenshot it because some guy in previous thread was spreading lies about having less ammo at boss node. You have 40%, the same amount as in every single event except Winter 2016. This translates to 20% penalty, as in, after the armor roll, your damage is multiplied by 0.8. Hayasui isn't really required.

Maybe before plane proficiency, but 4-5 has never been easier with double chevron torp bombers. Zuiuns are kind of risky on Tone and Chikuma since they might get reduced to 0 by boss node, which disables daytime double attack. That shit has happened to me more than once.

My Bismark killed the boss from ~400 HP in night battle. Anecdotal, but proves it is possible for BBs to put out good damage.

Between the strong anti-installation ships, it literally makes no difference. If they don't crit no ship will do anything (scratch fest). If they crit, any FBB, CAV, Ooyodo, and even DDs with tanks can do 100+ damage per double attack hit and kill Central. Various screencaps of killshots have shown this much.
