Has anyone read that ノラ game by Harukaze? I just tried reading it and for some reason the prose started making my head hurt... the scenarist is the same guy who wrote らぶおぶ恋愛皇帝 and I didn't hear anyone complain in that game so no doubt it's just some placebo thing on my end. Just wondering if anyone else felt the same.

Fantastic post.
>>
>>14866239
I'm like one hour into Noratoto and while the text kinda jumps here and there, I am kind of enjoying the usage of a narrator. It gave the whole underworld thing intro kind of a fairy tale feel.
Makes me want to listen to a Japanese audiobook because narration work feels quite different from your regular acting VA.
>>
>>14866239
Although I only read the trial, I agree with >>14866387 - the usage of a voiced narrator feels fresh, there's few omniscient narration so the whole thing feels like a drama play. I liked that. Maybe you're just tired.

Since no one posted their 罪ノ光ランデヴー impression yet I thought I'd do it.

I'm the guy who posted my impression about the trial one or two threads ago.
It left a very positive impression because everything felt polished. Especially liked the pacing.
The ending of the trial (ends before the OP) is pretty much a route on its own and the ending is bitter-sweet and nice. I was really excited to play the whole game.
But then, I asked myself, what else do I want from this game?

Fuuka route was nice but I think she went a bit too dere even though she still kept her personality. The 地震 thing was absolutely retarded though. If there's anything I'd complain about this game it's that.

I didn't care about Tsubura route because I didn't like her at all. Way too cliché. Route was definitely not bad though.

Ai route was exactly what I exptected. Never felt the same character interaction from the beginning of the game though which left me pretty disappointed.

Some other things to mention: The H scenes are very good (4 per heroine), the art club 部長 was a completely useless character, a few songs are nice but mostly forgettable, drama doesn't feel forced, there is blood related incest,...

In the end, I wish I just stopped playing the game when the OP started. Would work as a short story novel.

I can say without hesitation that a lot of people would like this game so if you're looking for a moege with good pacing this is a must look for this month.

You're probably being sarcastic or something, but the writing style in Shokomeza is actually pretty simple.
>>
>>14873708
Speaking of romeo prose, this game isn't written by Romeo, right? He's listed as having written something for the PSP game, wither another scenarist writing the main game, but I can't find pretty much anything on who wrote the main game, his name is 南総鐵道 but google just gives a bunch of websites talking about this game. I'm pretty sure he's just an unknown writer who wrote a game that sold poorly and thus disappeared afterwards, but I'm stuck on the fact that Romeo wrote for the PSP game.
>>
>>14873634
I'm not sure even Romeo can salvage the eroge otaku team premise, but admittely I haven't read the trial.

In the Tech Gian interview, the producer mentions the main aim of the game is 癒し.

Trains are the theme cause the writer is a train fan, you can see that on Twitter and from the fact that he organized two train ride events for fans and paid for them himself. On talk events he mentions that Soutetsu's premise about hating trains is so he can slowly be taught about them and start liking them, and players that aren't already train fans along with him.

When you think about it, Monobeno already was hugely charage and I agree that Maitetsu will be even more. The main conflict this time isn't related to the protagonist only, so it'll probably be just in the background.
>>
>>14876428
Your description pretty much convinced me to play it.
>>
>>14874684
Gnawing at 恋する乙女と守護の楯 ~薔薇の聖母~.
Started it so I could drop it few hours in and laugh at their writer never getting better since first game, but unfortunately it turned out relatively good.
So few days later, I've cleared 3 routes and in final chapters of remaining 2.
Nice characters, all of them have some kind of charm and none of them annoyed me, unlike first game.
Not that bad SoL stuff.
But oh god, "drama" parts of routes are fucking terrible, especially for Nozomi and Sonya. Mai and Lili had best routes, I strongly advice to play these two and call game finished.
>>
>>14875427
I see yandere as some twisted form of femdom, so it's natural to have a weak protagonist or I wouldn't see it working.
>>
>>14875556
You need to save everyone to get one of the two heroine endings, Munemitsu is also saveable.
>>
>>14873445
I didn't see it the first time I saw your post, but seeing the thumbnail just now got me. That puffed-cheek pouty face.
>>
>>14876500
Really? Kind of disappointing to me... iyashige is pretty much on par with nukige in my opinion in terms of uninteresting writing approaches. You can get good games from it but only if the writer surpasses premise he gave himself if that makes sense.
>>
>>14878411
I read non fiction all the time so I wouldn't mind reading an iyashige to learn about trains while chilling with cute girls.
>>
>>14878411
Different tastes.

I play iyashige just for the setting and the atmosphere of the game to immerse and relax myself while nukige for whenever the need to fap arises.

I'm really looking forward to Maitetsu just for that whole comfy rural setting. And Hachiroku.
>>
>>14878411
>iyashige is pretty much on par with nukige in my opinion in terms of uninteresting writing approaches
Hahaha.
>>
>>14878526
It's pretty boring when nothing happens. You can only play so many "muh healing" games before they get really old. I much prefer the WOT approach where SOL and relaxed character interaction takes place in the midst of a grander story.

Iyashige is kind of like an author going "what if I wrote a story... without any story!?". But the problem with a story with no story is that when you've read one you've read them all, which is why they're only good when the author managed to surpass their own iyashi premise and interweave a story of interesting character interactions unbeknownst to the iyashi seeking reader. Thus, the focus on trains is a pretty bad omen to me that the author will focus moreso on train infodumping rather than a story of meaningful character interaction.
>>
>>14878526
He's right. Iyashikei doesn't really work in a written form. It's a lot better in a more visual medium such as anime or movies. There's more going on and they also tend to be shorter. 30+ hours of high schools standing around talking about nothing doesn't make for the most engaging visual novel.
>>
>>14878548
Oh well, I'm too tired to discuss anything with dumb people so I would rather you just ignored my post as a troll or something. But I'll just say you got wrong what I was laughing at, which really isn't a matter of me disagreeing or agreeing on what you said.
>>
>>14878605
I don't think iyashi is necessarily a visual thing, though it can be. Some times it hinges heavily on characterization, quite a few healing games have some kind of burnt out/jaded protagonist surrounded with girls who are nice or good natured in contrast with his previous experiences.
But yeah there's no arguing it can and does easily slip up into boring nothing happens territory.
>>
>>14878548
Sorry for spelling the obvious to you, but iyashi is like any other genre: it all falls down to the author's skill.
>>
>>14878780
That's not very insightful or meaningful.
>>
>>14874684
PxC2 while waiting for Akeiro Kaikitan. I was a bit skeptic of E-mote at first, but I actually quite like it. Helps bring the otherwise not that impressive art to life. I just wish the game utilized the system in actual H-scenes as well, such wasted potential. This would look much better as webm, but for some reason Fraps or Shadowplay couldn't capture it.
>>

Finished Semiramis no Tenbin. It was disappointing but I still managed to enjoy myself. I thought the common route was good but the individual routes were really short and lacking, they just left me thinking "that was it?" I wouldn't mind if the routes were just that way for the side heroines, but for Ami and Eru to be given the same treatment was disappointing. Having said that, Ami's route was strangely satisfying for me though, since I ended up really liking her, and as the central heroine of the game you already get enough interaction with her in the common route. The ridiculousness of the main two bad endings gave me a good laugh, and the small scene when you finish all the routes mindfucked me. Also I wish Kei was involved in the story more.

Finished Michi's route in ノラと皇女と野良猫ハート. Somewhat mixed feelings but I guess I can say I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the MC and Michi's interactions and the humor was fun, though some of the drama felt really tedious.

The characters definitely shine the most, my favorite part of this was easily the antics of the characters, including the MC who was a lot of fun. The overall style of a kind of fairytale, with the narration, made for a nice touch and seeing some of the more fantastical themes from the start come back during the climax was great.

That being said the drama was just all over the place. Michi and her mother's issues made sense, they were part of the characters and it was obvious that both had to grow as people in order to settle their respective issues. Having nameless, faceless, and voiceless villain man just felt so cheap though. While the confrontation between him and Nora was amazing, at the same time felt emotionally lacking almost; I didn't care at all for this guy and from the beginning it was obvious he was shit. Everything that happened after that was just the silly humor from the start which I didn't dislike, but at the same time after that confrontation scene felt lackluster. Had it just completely followed through with a serious, fairytale shift I think it could have worked. The resolutions of the various problems at the end also felt weak, particularly the mother's.

A fun game, though not without its problems. Would've liked to see more dating scenes as opposed to the build up to drama that seems to go nowhere, but what was there was great.

>>14887883
Surely you see how... dumb your comment is? I hate to be rude but seriously. Did you even think for a moment before sending that comment? Knight settings have just as much potential for development as normal school settings. If knight games follow the same patterns, that's a fault of the writers not the setting itself. Therefore, criticizing the knight genre as a whole is shortsighted.

I'm not criticizing the "knight genre", I'm criticizing knight games. Until now, there wasn't really an attempt to break out of the usual formula, much in contrast to the school genre which was deconstructed I don't know how many times.

>Knight settings have just as much potential for development as normal school settings.

No, they don't. If you want to make a game about knights, you have to follow certain rules. Think about it, how "knightly" would a knight game be if it just established the knight setting and ignoring everything which is tied to it? A dumb moege gimmick, that's what it would be.
>>
>>14888106
Literally everything you say can be turned around.
>If you want to make a game about school girls, you have to follow certain rules. Think about it, how "school-y" would a school game be if it just established the school setting and ignoring everything which is tied to it? A dumb moege gimmick, that's what it would be.
What does it matter if the school genre has been deconstructed if the vast vast majority of school games are generic and follow similar formula? Point being, there's no point in whining about knight games because school games are far worse and far more omnipresent. It's just hypocritical.
>>
>>14888128
And you think I have no problems with generic gakuenmono #294213?

Point is, there were interesting school games which broke out of the usual scheme while knight games were stagnant from the start until just now. Is there more room for them? Sure. But not as much as school settings which can just serve as a background without going too deep into "school things".
>>
>>14888158
The post I responded to stated
>More knight shit?
Which is a pretty stupid thing to say, as a VN reader. Are you going to say "More school shit?" every time one comes out? What's the point? And while school games exist, complaining about a high number of ANY type of games is pants on head retarded.
>But not as much as school settings which can just serve as a background without going too deep into "school things".
There is no reason why knight games can't be just as loose. See: All the knight games that devote significant time to non-knightly stuff.

Same purpose for having games in school settings while literally skipping every aspect of school life beyond hanging out with girls - as a medium to express the plot.

>Don't join conversations you don't know the context too.

>Same purpose for having games in school settings while literally skipping every aspect of school life beyond hanging out with girls - as a medium to express the plot.

That's not how it works. The plot of knight games is doing knight stuff, otherwise it's just girls running around with swords, i.e. a gimmick.
>>

>That's not how it works. The plot of knight games is doing knight stuff, otherwise it's just girls running around with swords, i.e. a gimmick.

>>14888214
A school can just be a background. Everyone at one point in his life goes to school. It's probably the most basic experience shared by almost everyone in every civilized country. Knighthood isn't.

A game with a school setting can decide how much it actually wants to plunge into school related things, exactly because it's so generic. From planning festivals to school cafeteria talk to simply a 1 - 2 scenes every day of the story. Can't have that with knights.
>>
>>14888249
Knighthood can be a background just fine. I have no idea why you falsely believe a knight setting to be so restrictive.

Because it would be basically just a sprite swap if you don't take the setting at least a bit seriously. A gimmick game of girls wearing swords at school.
>>
>>14888317
It seems you haven't gotten it, so I'll spell it out directly - there's not a lot of significance in calling the knight setting a "gimmick" when the entirety of school settings are just as "gimmicky".

my face when denuvo blocks texthooking tools and more makers apply it on their vns

On a serious note though, I really think they're putting their efforts on the wrong place

whatever though
>>
>>14888860
Man that'll be a shame. If all VNs get denuvo protection I mean, not the texthooking thing. I can only hope that after sales dont increase from it they'll stop using it.
>>
>>14888885
It's pretty costly and I don't think people who pirated before will suddenly become buyfags. I certainly won't. Denuvo is a clear deal breaker for me.

But even if they don't drop that bullshit, there are enough VNs already released to entertain me for at least 10 years.
>>
>>14888860
Is it really blocks the texthooking? I have no idea what is denuvo, but its not like it'll increase the sales anyway. Getting such an expensive crack system will just decrease their profit, of course if they can make any.
>>
>>14888860
>no texthooking
>no piracy

This thread will be decimated

>>14888913
>Is it really blocks the texthooking

Chances are really big that it does, Denuvo in regular video games also blocks any type of modding, so it's a consequence of that

It makes it incredibly hard for any type of modification on the software which is why even chinks gave up on it
>>
Doesn't texthooking software just read the processes output? Not sure how it works, thats just the impression I got.

Not that it's a big deal either way, you can learn Japanese after reading what 50-100 vns and there are plenty of VNs currently out to go through. The only people who will suffer are machine translators and Chinese people then
>>
>>14888860
Didn't somebody try this shit 2 months ago only for it to get cracked in a day or so?
>>
>>14888860
Holy shit. This guy is an absolute madman. I don't even want to know how that deal came to be. He shits on foreigners for pirating his games and suddenly he asks them for help. By the way this proves that Denuvo is not that expensive if some eroge company can afford it.

It's one thing to get a top tier protection, you need to be able to use it properly. I hope their code monkeys they get no assistance from Denuvo and fuck it up by applying it to wrong parts of the code.

It's going to be doubly hilarious if it gets cracked while AAA video games don't.

>>14888913
Depends on the antidebug mechanisms, if the text hooker acts suspiciously similar to a debugger it might not let the game run. Other than that it probably won't touch the game code responsible for text rendering so it should be fine. People made cheats for MGSV for example.
>>
>>14888962
It wasn't denuvo.
>>14888957
If they cant crack most likely this entire thread will be gone, and I'm using texthooking just for looking a kanji I dont know, not for machine translators.
>>
>>14888860
well you have to consider that in Japan customer is god and when people pirate a game it's the company that loses face with the actual paying customers because the responsibility is theirs
it's a cultural thing that goes beyond the "if piracy didn't exist we'll earn more" mentality you see with western develoeprs, I'd guess most companies will be fine with turning less profits as long as their game isn't pirated period (the few who can afford denuvo anyways)
can't say it's a big deal for me either way, I'll keep buying the stuff I'm interested in and dodge the shit, thankfully trials are still commonplace
>>
>>14888965
If it doesn't get cracked you won't be able to play it first and foremost.

Judging by how simple mikocon cracks were, it's probably way above their level.
>>
>>14888965
If you're still using texthooking to look up kanji you haven't read 50-100 VNs yet and are still a beginner, that's not what I'm talking about. I also don't think a lack of piracy will kill the thread, because plenty of old releases get discussed.
>>
>>14888978
And more importantly if Akabe can afford it and make it work, most likely Yuzusoft & August etc will get it too.
>>
Kind of surprised to see the support for denuvo among Jap posters. Don't they know "their game" will be rendered unplayable once the company goes out of business?
>>
>>14888989
Shit's going to be crazy. Even western indie games that are far more popular don't have it.

Still I don't think it's going to get cracked for a while unless there is some genius cracker out there powered by the ero. The problem is that you need both the game files and a valid license so you pretty much need to buy the game to crack it.
>>
>>14889011
Well of course first of all they have to buy it just as always, the point is if they can crack and share with other people.
>>
Those who pirate the game most likely won't buy it anyway, so it's not like spending money on software protection will raise their profit margins.
Also given eroge devs' coding ability, wouldn't this cause more problems for the actual buyers?
>>
>>14889015
Most eroge out there had braindead simple protections that relied on cd checks or some shit so you only needed the disc image to crack the game. Denuvo has online activation which changes the game completely, you need to own the game to successfully activate, obtain the decryption key and dump the executable. Nowadays crackers are Chinese and they have trouble buying games because porn is verboten in China and their Japanese friends probably aren't going to risk it.
>>
>>14889034
>so it's not like spending money on software protection will raise their profit margins
More like buying such an expensive system will make all of their profit disappear so I dont really think other companies will take it as well. At least newbie ones definitely wont. Also if chinese can crack it somehow thanks to their retarded coding this will hit them pretty hard.
>>
>>14889035
Well if they "can" crack it with getting the game somehow, I'm sure they can since they are buying & sharing all of games so far.

I dont think buying the game will be a problem, the problem is being capable of cracking it or not imo.
>>
>>14889059
Yeah, I'd rather them put the money towards making a better eroge. I don't really pirate regular games and I'd be more likely to buy if they actually made it good enough to be worth paying full price for.
>>
>>14888989
Yuzusoft hasn't used any DRM in a while, if at all though.

Well, not like that'd make a difference to me, with the amount of stuff they pack in with their games I don't regret buying any of them.

>>
>>14889124
With those prices I can only afford the very good games or the companies' games which I really like, in short 4-5 games per a year. I definitely wouldn't buy purely x cation with that art, but I was going to try it just because I have played all cation games so far.
>>
>>14889124
VNs are over priced. Close to 8-10k yen for games. No thanks. I have no problem buying 1k yen games.

Furthermore, in this particular case, a foreigner interested in buying an akabei soft game owuld have to use a VPN to pretend to be in Japan and use paypal to avoid anti-gaijin VISA card blockers. That's ridiculous.

Plus >>14889147. Far too many games I feel regret over even pirated. If I had to buy every game I just would stop playing anything except things written by 2-3 authors/companies because it's too risky otherwise.
>>
By the way, if they're going to use KiriKiri and better yet, release an unprotected trial it's probably going to get cracked by their sheer incompetence since you can in theory make the existing code work with the game files discarding the protected exe completely. I hope for that kind of scenario, shit's going to blow up in his face, all that money down the drain.
>>
>>14889124

I hope it does, simply for the shitfit he'll throw on twitter. I don't know why he's so obstinate, though. Other makers can survive without using sophisticated DRM methods. Seems more like a personal grudge than a pure business decision.
>>
>>14889124
Eroge is expensive as hell compared to regular games, some stores and companies actively go out of their way to block foreigners (meaning I'm not even their projected target audience) and even if I did manage to buy and import their games I run the risk of local authorities in case of physical copies, not to mention import taxes, shipping and then handling costs. It's not just viable for an university student to buy eroge. When I'll get to my student exchange in a few years I may actually buy something.
>>
>>14889124
Don't give shit
>>
>>14889124
I actually do buy most of my eroge these days (at least the new ones). Ironically, these DRM schemes that require me to always be online and will make the game unplayable someday are basically a deal-breaker to me, so they're missing out on money they otherwise might have gotten. Not that ABS2 makes anything that interests me these days anyhow.

I'm just hoping it gets cracked and ABS2 eventually runs out of money to blow on ridiculous DRM. And hoping that discourages better devs from trying it.
>>
>>14889187
From the looks of things, I'd guess it's because ABS2 is floundering. They've lost most of their talent, and are probably hemorrhaging money and are desperate for a magic bullet that will make them profitable again.

>>
>>14889419

>>
>>14889360
I think it's more like: because they've already started the pre-orders, the price won't change. For future titles? Most probably. Have to fund that expensive license.
>>
>>14889521
Changing the prices will make this system fail instantly, I really hope they increase it so no one would buy it.
>>
>>14889521
So like most DRM, it screws over the legitimate customers by making it more expensive and more inconvenient to use, and the pirates don't give a shit and either crack it anyways or go pirate other stuff instead.

I don't know what goes through their heads when they think it's a good idea to drop the money on something like this instead of on making the VN actually good so more people will buy it. DRM like this just drives sales away unless it's a REALLY fucking good product that is more than worth the price, which it won't be.

I'm not sure why do you guys care about this denuvo thing so much.

First of all, Most likely none of other companies can do this because its a very expensive DRM and I dont think they'll make it cheap just because you are a eroge company. Its not like they are selling thousands anyway so spending money at something like this which will almost take all of your profit is definitely not something wise.

And about Akabesoft; Probably they'll just increase the games' price from now on, the only reason they didnt do at purely cation is they already started the pre-orders and you cant sell it for 10.000 yen to some customers while its 15.000 yen to others. Japanese currently supporting this because its same price "for now" and of course getting a better protection for the same price is not a problem for them; but when their games get 50% price rise they'll complain more than us. Seriously who would pay 50% more just because its "not crackable", and gotta mention that eroge industry is a pretty small one so losing those customers might make them go bankrupt, even if they are as big as akabesoft.

Plus those are all about if chinese devs cant really crack it, which I doubt. I'm sure japs will make some retarded coding and make it crackable again.

In short I cant see any big problems about this other than akabesoft's not so bright future.

Not the end of piratefags because this solution hurts the consumers and company more than the pirates, especially with something as low budget as a VN compared to the AAA games that utilize it. I don't see it becoming a common thing.

Not the end of hookerfags because they would just use an OCR solution. I think VNR or one of them has an OCR mode.

every single scene release doesn't work with denuvo anymore

last one that worked with it was the chinks and last i heard from them, they said "we'll stop cracking games and see if sales really go up" which is kind of a shitty way of saying "we give up"
>>
I really hope barely anyone buys their new release.
>>
>>14890027
I'm interested. Got any examples?
>>
>>14890029
Nah they actually cracked the v2 one if I'm remembering correctly and said that to v3 version of Denuvo (fifa 2016, tomb raider and just cause 3 used it if I'm not wrong), and they announced that they actually found a way to crack v3 and will release it soon, like 10 days ago or something.
>>
>>14890039
Just checked and its like one month ago actually not 10 days, Since I dont care about those games seems like I didn't remember it correctly.

Well I still think that this will be crackable thanks to jap coding though, also just as I said >>14890003 there I'm pretty sure denuvo is not a useable thing in eroge industry.

Hell I didnt even mention all those people who play the eroge first then buys it or the people who'll just play the other companies' games instead of buying something without trying if its not written by some big writers etc etc.

It's mostly experiences from people who've met him or follow minori, so take it with a grain of salt.
The guy is called nbkz / 酒井伸和
Check out mentions of him in bbspink's エロゲー board, he gets shit on for being an asshole. It seems he threatened users who sold used copies in auctions and has generally a bad attitude at Comiket's 業界 booths. He's also known for doing エゴサ/エゴサーチ (doing Twitter searches for criticism and RTing publicly). He manages the @nekoten_yuuna account. He likes talking about the state of the industry but he constantly gets proven wrong. He said that crowdfunding eroge would never work (it did after he said that with Clannad) and that selling eroge on Steam would never work (it did after he said that with Nekopara). I saw him myself on ニコ生 the other day and he does seem to be kind of rude. People often comment how minori never seems to have joint ventures with other eroge companies so they probably don't have a good relation with other companies inside the industry either. It's probably why so many people were happy when Supipara bombed. It also seems sataりすく (one of the artists) is a xenophobe, looking at his twitter, but the rest of the staff is fine.
>>
>>14888964
If it's not expensive then why did only AAA companies used it?

Odd question but does Japan have xenophobia?
Also if it is true, that they do indeed have xenophobia is that why there are so many World War 2 visual novellas with their side playing a massive role, as in a reimagining of their side winning the war or a bigger part in it.
>>
>>14891211
Xenophobia exists in every country. There seems to kind of higher levels of xenophobia in average (as in genuine fear, not hate) due to their historic isolation but they aren't the xenophobic monsters some people say they are. It seems to be improving, too.

By the way the US also does that a lot. Have you ever watched American war movies? They're masturbation all the way through.
>>
>>14889988
are text hookers really that bad I mean I just needed to look up words I don't know quick
>>
>>14891231
Also to add, I see Americans being xenophobic much more often than the Japanese. There have even been cases of Americans killing Latinos thinking they were all Mexicans. Europe is also getting much more xenophobic now, too. If things keep going like this, Japan will be less xenophobic than the west very soon. It probably is already.
>>
>>14891254
Europe ought to be though.
>>
>>14891254
USA is crazy about "diversity" programs, and you will be fired from your job if you ever publicly even doubt this shit.
Japan officially stands against all kinds of immigration and officially supports xenophobic practices against koreans, chinese, taiwanese, inonesians and so on. If someone is caught using racist practices (paying less to foreigners, giving job because wrong nationality and so on), he will get pat on the head and "good job" message.
>>
>>14891272
I was talking about people, or at least what I've seen. Government practices very often don't reflect the people's thinking. The American example you mentioned proves this. Easily the same could be happening in Japan.

>>14891268
They should be thinking about what's causing immigration and terrorism in the first place. Xenophobia is the easy way out, and easy ways out often aggravate things in the long run. But that's for another thread.
>>
Its thanks to Japan's xenophobia and it's closed culture that we are able to play or eroge nowadays.

I hope they stay like this.
>>
>>14891304
No it's not.
>>
>>14891231
Yeah I get that America has it too as well but I was just wondering why Japan has such a large amount of it from what I heard. Maybe they haven't participated In that many wars and being the small country that it is finds their involvement something like a world war amazing.Although you do have their attack of China and Korea rape thing as well as the Mongolian invasion but World War 2 seems to be an obsession I was thinking maybe they want to be a bigger part of the war or maybe reimagine themselves as the victors instead of what took place.

if you want vn with gameplay
gunparade march is literally the best game ever made
maybe baldr force exe (emulate on ps2, it has great performance plus being able to switch between voice actors for each particular character)
and then sky dive 1 and 2

if you want pure vn then idk
maybe phantom of inferno if you like nitro+ stuff and you want some badass gunporn (also pick ps2, for voice acting), if you want the pc remake check the art first and compare if you like the renewal
phantom i guess is translated, but the dvd version released is so damn old i heard it doesnt work on modern pcs due to codec issues and the translation was dogshit so might as well consider it untranslated and play it on ps2

or maybe emulate yu-no on saturn (for voice acting)

The only thing I could find was a "PC Survival Kit" for the game that supposedly removes the DRM and the unskippable Island advertisement.
>>
>>14893100
Denuvo is a layer around DRM, it doesn't contain any activation checking mechanisms by itself save for the CPUID checks I think. So far it's only been used with Origin and Steam bus since it's eroge we're talking about here they're going to use something else. Either that retarded Buddy thing which got cracked before, Soft Denchi which is just pathetic or something new altogether. Buddy has not been always online, you just had to input the key once and contact the server every time you ran it. IIRC Denuvo has some kind of offline activation as well.
>>
>>14893155
I think people are more worrying about other big companies would try to do the same thing if this proves to be successful.
>>
>>14893150
I mean the always online part. So they have to, pay for Denuvo, pay for the server to handle this stuffs, handle things with their retailers etc. Are those really going to worth it?

I can't criticize them for their VIP gate... frankly I don't have a lot of pride in piracy as it stands so all I see that as is them profiting a little of people collectively being unwilling to spend money or wait. >>
>>14894297

>>
>>14894270
>The fact they always release games after a couple months
They are only releasing after 15 days and If you pay 10.000 yen (one game's price) you can get one game at each month for a year, Which means they also dont really care about creators or companies they are just mad because of that cracker they cant get any VIP.

Lets say no one is uploading games for 3 months after release; Do you think more western / chinese will buy it? No more people will just become VIP of mikocon because with 10.000 yen you can get 12 games there at the release day. They just act like they are the good guys and criticize others.

IF they really want to support creators, just close VIP or make it something like VIP's can get games after one month & free users can get after 2 months or something. This would help the scene, not their current VIP gate.
