I'm actually not sure if it completely blocks damage or just a part. It activates randomly with a higher chance for high defense units. Equipment and ampoules should give a bonus, too.

So far been exclusively following the jp videos first with exception of the first two.

So far, only the same changes we experienced last event with the merman attack speed increase has any real impact, and even then, it's not as bad as it was with the pirates.

Also, word of note, the black dragons attack everyone in the immediate area with that lich attack.

They truly deserve to be called one of the the strongest of (regular) dragons.

They are quite iffy about it.
The weapons look like they come from recipes, so more crafting bullshit, while the armors and accessories are drops or something.
And there is that weird accessories level up system, where you have to equip them on your units and have them beating up the boss to gain level.

Can only level up and keep trying with new strategies depending on your team really. Kinda like Aegis, there's lots of people who play around with this game beating maps with oddball teams or low rarity teams. See pic with someone beating 2-5 hard mode with full mage team.

That said, world 3 is pretty hard... new slow paths introduced and mob patterns change considerably. They pretty much swarm you with mobs so heavy hitting AoE is the new king while gunners and other single target units become considerably less useful.

Just got this qt from the premium gacha, but she seems awfully expensive for single-target magic damage that doesn't even slow. What does her skill/passive do? Testing seems to indicate "Absolutely nothing".

Well, they already dropped the cost for Samurais in DMM.(In Nutaku it just feels like a luxury to be able to put down CC'd Akane) But it always feels like they should be lower since they seem perfect for the first few waves. Chizuru for example has some ridiculous HP and a skill to dodge projectiles which makes up for her crap defense.
But even so, It usually just feels like I can put down a soldier for every point I could put a samurai.

11 maps total, unexpectedly short event.
Getting maxed out Noel alone: 500 + 1000 + 11*3000 = 34500 drops. At rate of 30-50 drops per run for 24 stamina map, that's 11 days of natural regen with no breaks for sleep. So pretty much impossible to max out more than one girl w/out spending real money.
