I dunno, I kind of like the farcical battles of mogeko games. The animations are funny. Although yes it would be cool if enemies had them too.

I can't see the random battles not being tedious if the game was a legit JRPG unless the game was totally overhauled to include a good set of subsystems.

I've been watching Manlybadasshero's walkthroughs because I rarely have the time to sit down and actually play vidya. Only finished watching Mogeko Castle and Wadanohara, with Mogeko being the best of the two desu.
I'm honestly still having a hard time liking Mogeko's guys and horror style but his girls are fucking cute. Wadanohara is like, fuck, the perfect daughter and shit.

I'd've liked someone with a more dynamic voice for the thing, but at least he's committed to his RPGMaker Let's Plays.

No puzzles to solve. No race to the finish. No battles. No CHALLENGE.

Just walk here, cutscene, then walk here, cutscene, then walk there, cutscene...

That's not how a real game should be made. But there are some we like because it's got good characters and a good story.

That does not make it a good game however...but we can take it because they're giving the game to us for free.

Even if the Gray Garden HD Remake has nothing to offer but better graphics, it would still be tolerable at worst because our wallets aren't taking a hit.

Combat might be removed. It was removed in the Mogeko Castle Remake. Not sure how they'll change the boss fights if so. Perhaps Ivlis's final fight will be replaced with a series of choices that'll affect the ending.

Combat might be improved. If Mogeko was a decent person he'd do this instead. However, Mogeko's more interested in telling a story than making a game so...who knows.
