What is /jp/ opinion on Muji? I don't know if this is the best place to discuss this type of things, because "otaku culture" is not always a synonym of "japan culture".
>Ryohin Keikaku Co.,Ltd. (株式会社良品計画 Kabushiki-gaisha Ryōhin Keikaku?) (TYO: 7453), or Muji (無印良品 Mujirushi Ryōhin?) is a Japanese retail company which sells a wide variety of household and consumer goods.
>Muji is distinguished by its design minimalism, emphasis on recycling, avoidance of waste in production and packaging, and no-logo or "no-brand" policy.
>The name Muji is derived from the first part of Mujirushi Ryōhin, translated as No Brand Quality Goods on Muji's European website.

lol, dont get dishearted.
Such threads are a good thing most of the time.
Many hardcore touhou autists, (sorry guys) are just to obsessed with their 2d girls and will generally shoo you off.
Its true, /jp/ currently is Otaku culture MAINLY Idols and touhou. Its not japanese culture or japanese 'general' like it would imply.
I wish for /jp/ to be the latter for over 4 years now though. And gradually we are getting there.
Plenty of photo, drama, music, retro and general discussion threads left and right.
Its not that I want idols and touhou gone completely, its fine.. but too much at times.
The shop looks nice, heard of it. Never been there though. I guess its not one of my primary goals on vacation... ha

I have 2 of their beanbags and they're great. Guests love them and I've passed out on them many times.

Well it's cool to know they have some stores in the US. New York isn't too far away.
I'll check it out next time. Thanks OP for being a faggot

It's basically a stationery shop. Nothing particularly special, some stuff is over priced, some stuff is well designed, etc.
It's okay, the only things we've ever bought are a very small pencase and notepad or two.
i wish i could go so badly, OP ;~;
