Anyone going to a concert is an engaged fan so off course they'll know about you. They are even more likely to be engaged if they went through the trouble of following a band that's not even promoted in their country.

I'm not sure if there will be a WT4. WT3 in London wasn't even sold out (about ~30% of tickets unsold) and that was the only date in Europe. People traveled from France, Germany and rest of Europe to get there. Despite that it wasn't full.

IIRC boths venues were full in the US but it took a little while to sell all tickets. NY venue capacity was only 2,200. LA was 3.5K London was 3.5K. And Asia's venues weren't bigger than these either.

These concerts aren't even profitable. I mean the London concert was like ~£25 when you exclude VAT. That's like £60K of income from tickets. If you deduct the travel cost of their team of like 25+ persons, accommodation, logistics, venue fees, other taxes and everything, you don't break even. Even if you add profits on merchandise.

London felt like a private concert to me. The stage was <2 meters away from first row. Was 3.5m away from the stage (see picture (I tried to keep my camera down hence why the head in front)). That kind of experience you'll never get it in Japan. Even front rows there are 10+ meters away.

I mean how is it fun going to concert where all you watch are either LCD screens or a silhouette in the distance. Granted the show itself will be better, but I'm not sure if that equals to a better experience overall.

Because it was a b-side. Tokimeki Lights is bland and Imitation World was butchered compared to the original.

I've liked several B-Sides from this era like Ijiwaru na Hello/Koi wa Zenkeishisei/Toumei Ningen but they get worse with each new release and I'd say they were all worse than Level3's b-sides- which were worse than JPN.

JPN was their high water mark even if I dislike Glitter/Laser Meme's remixes and odd track order. It was their best era for singles.

To be honest, I really don't care where the music I comes from as long as it sounds good. Sadly Perfume went from absolutely amazing to just bland. I blame Nakata, since everything he's worked on went from great to just plain unmemorable.

perfume have had generic A sides for a very long time they are just catchy.

cling cling was boring but gave me ijiwaru which is god tier

pick me up is trash and star train isn't up to anyone's standard but this is the one year where nakata hasn't made a master piece song and I trust that perfume will ever do the right thing and drop him or that he will take a break and come back great again.

as for mikiko while relax in the city was a piece of shit dance and display was basic spending all my time two. pick me up, ijiwaru and koi wa were god tier.

When was pop anything other than catchy, generic but pleasing sounding music? I want Perfume to be less generic, but most of the songs they are releasing, even the bad ones, are catchy and pleasing sounding. Some fans want that, but personally, I want more Party Maker, Edge, Fake It... songs like that.

I think star train is really good. It doesn't mesh with perfume's main style so I get why people hate it, but in the context of the movie it works amazingly

Everything after JPN has declined in quality. That's a fact. Voice is the worst single out of the JPN era but it's better than any a-side from post-Level 3 aside from maybe Cling Cling but even so trying to be better than the worst single of an album isn't something to be praised for.

Sweet Refrain is not a good single.
Tokimeki Lights is a horrible b-side.
Star Train WAS that bad and worse than Kasuka na Kaori.

If you think their new stuff sounds boring then it is boring and it's bad pop music. Every song for the past 2 years have all felt drawn out aside from Ijiwaru na Hello and Toumei Ningen.

it has never been about natural vocals that has never been the problem and that isn't what makes pick me up so bad. it is the balance between the two combine with the need for originality.
