Sissy *nglos and frogs were so afraid of Russian might they joined forces with t*rkroaches.
Despicable really
it needed france, britain and turkey to temporary hold russia from bullying turkey
it also had the last major sail ships naval battle in history which russia won vs turkey, the battle of sinop
European imperialism. Guns and horses. Yawn.
Come back when you want to talk about a real war, like Justinian's reconquest of western Rome.
the same situation as northern ireland, just replace ireland with ukraine and russia with br*tain
OUT FLANK THE GUNS NOT CHARGE THEM!

Europeans saved Osmans from being annihilated by Russkies

When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wonder'd.
Honour the charge they made!
Honour the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred!
Around 700,000 men died in a relatively small war, mostly thanks to trench warfare and disease epidemics. The war exposed Russia's extremely inadequate infrastructure as they could not get enough men to the front to defeat a small, rather poorly-led Anglo-French army and it led to reforms by Alexander II and efforts to move away from feudalism.

That was the stupidiest post I ever read on int.

And Osmans thanked them by siding with Central powers in WWI. Suits them well.

all animals are equal but some are more equal
british noblemen are among the most equal, their poorly designed charge deserves a special memory
Biscuits and baquettes were afraid of the slav expansion so they allied with the age old enemy of europe.
Brits even tried to invade Russian empire from Finland through the sea.

This was the only conflict aside from the Civil War where rifled muskets were widely used (the British and French had them, the Russians still had smoothbore muskets).

it was well designed, but somehow they attacked the wrong one and straight into entrenched positions
the Russian commanders were incompetent drunks
the British were unorganized and inept
lastly, the french were quite fanciful in their bright reds and blues, and were well drilled and orderly, in contrast to their partner, neatly marching in tight rows as their shabby comrade struggled with camp followers
And it happened again 20 years later when Russia went to war with the Ottoman Empire, tried to set up a satellite Greater Bulgaria, and the European powers intervened and stopped them (this time at the negotiating table).

>it was well designed
No it wasn't there was a miscommunication and despite uncertainty the british commander dared not to doublecheck the order due to hiw own honor.
Brits do like to make themselves look good even if they get extremely buttblasted ie. that and dunkek

Turkey was getting beaten up by Russia so consistently all the other powers in Europe got nervous that the balance of power would be lost when the Ottomans collapsed and Russia expanded to the Middle East and Central Asia that they decided to give Russia a bloody nose.
An important consequence of the war was the establishment of Romania as a fully independent state, or more accurately after the Franco-Austrian conflict in 1859. The Romanian magnates took advantage of this distraction to establish an independent state, although the European powers did not want this, they couldn't do anything to prevent it.

You may say that about high and infantry commanders, but our naval and artillery commanders were top notch.

>and Russia expanded to the Middle East and Central Asia that they decided to give Russia a bloody nose
This was more after their failed grab at Constantinople in 1878, after which Russia decided to ignore Europe for the time being and instead focus on Asian expansion.

European wars were big, man. Nothing in the Civil War approached the scale of some of Napoleon's battles, or even some mid-century conflicts like the Seven Weeks War.
