Root-Uralic was around 6000 years ago at least.
The oldest Finnish words and Uralic words are one and the same. Even in Finnish and Hungarian, which parted ways 4000 years ago, there is dozen words that are exactly the same.

The oldest Finnish words still in use are related to hunting and gathering or living around in nature in general.

Some examples are:
elää (to live)
joki (river)
kuusi (spruce)
kuusi (six)
kuusi (your moon)
kusi (piss)

then some words relating to time of the year
summer (suvi), autumn (syksy), touko (May)

these words relating to nature, plants and animals are the oldest ones:
hiiri (mouse), täi (flea), muna (egg)

Finnish people didnt know about agriculture 6000 years ago. Agriculture was learned from Indo-Europeans and so is the vocabulary of agriculture taken from Indo-European languages.

Finnish is notoriously slow in changing the words even slightly.
Once a word is integrated into Finnish, it stays exactly the same for thousand years.
