If you genuinely believe you're balding, see a dermatologist.
Propecia/Finasteride will halt your hair thinning for at least ten years (you can look up studies). With Rogaine, you'll probably see some regrowth as well.
This is assuming you actually have thinning hair. In my opinion, you've either caught it very early or you have none to begin with.
You probably can't remember what that part of your scalp looked like when you shaved your head. Can you?
