p much this.

trudeau was young, pretty boy, libtard who paraded his fathers accomplishments & leadership. and promised to do everything.

naturally, when he got elected and didn't do half the shit he promised, as always happens. his approval ratings dropped.
>>
>>79480889
Pretty much only millennials and millennial sympathizers like him. I personally think he's only slightly less terrible than his father.

What would it take for leafs to have their own 1776? Because we rebelled from the (((Crown))) levying a 2% tax hike on tea. You currently lose your 6 year old to the state of you don't cut off their dick (which the state will do against your will) schools teach your kids in Ontario there are 5 genders, and you can't criticize Islam. Are leafs destine to be Winston Smith from 1984?

The Queen and their membership in the Commonwealth has nothing to do with their domestic policies.

He was elected mainly on three points:

First, people were tired of Cuckservatives. Though Canada doesn't have term limits, we don't tend to keep a party around longer than a decade. Lots of people voted for the party most likely to out them, and as election day grew closer, it became more obvious that the Liberals were in the best position to do so.

Second, he promised electoral reform and the elimination of first-past-the-post voting. That's now dead in the water. Ironically, wholesale abuse of first-past-the-post voting helped get him and his Liberals to into power.

Third, he advocated deficit spending to boost the economy and the establishment of a bank to fund infrastructure projects. That alone probably turned Ontario red.

All the other parties didn't really have anything compelling to other. Conservatives promised more tax breaks that would have disproportionately benefited the rich. NDP (democratic socialists) skewed more to the centre, and that cost them votes among their base.

The other two major parties ran into controversies during the election that probably hurt them. NDP leader Mulcair defended the niqab, which cost him votes in Quebec. A couple of Conservative MP candidates were caught in scandals of varying measure: one candidate (a tradesman) was caught on camera peeing into a drinking glass at a house he was working on.

Furthermore, neither of the major candidates had any personal appeal compared to Trudeau, despite the other two being better at debates and speeches. Harper, however he tries to dress himself up, is boring and unappealing. Mulcair is a bearded manlet who lacks the commoner's touch of his predecessor

At present, Trudeau's popularity is quite a bit lower than it used to be, because now the Liberals have to contend with the reality of governing and have backtracked on many of their promises. Still, that's a far cry from disliking him; most people are just about okay with him.

You'd know all about that, of course.

Where did the dog blowjob meme come from? Also typical American "allow me to tell you about YOUR country" lmao

I voted for him and honestly im disappointed but he was still the best choice. When your choices are weed man, dictator harper and immigrant cock sucker beard man its not going to end well. Im also terribly disappointed that the conservatives learned nothing and made Harper jr their new party leader. All of Trudeau's fuckups have really been self inflicted. The opposition is a joke, all he had to do is pick the popular option and stop grandstanding like a fucking retard. Enough is enough with muh natives and muh welcoming canada and more action

>Also typical American "allow me to tell you about YOUR country" lmao
Think that was mostly jokes… considering how that's become a huge stereotype
Anyway even for all the shit you guys give us Canadians seem like a decent lot. It must be really frustrating to have it be that easy and still have them fuck up. I've noticed a shit pick of leaders in NA recently, what's up with that?
Hope everything goes good

Politics in general seem fucked up in the west. Everyone seems to be one extreme or the other, there's no middle ground anyone and no sides seem to want to compromise and work together. I think this divide is particularly bad in America but it's present everywhere.
