You can just ignore that. I got my first job with 0 real industry experience. It's common to exaggerate on your resume. If run virus scans on your parents' computers you can say you have experience as a freelance computer tech.

I'd look for jobs with ISPs like Rogers or Bell. ISPs always have hub offices in small towns for some reason. I know out west Telus and Shaw have a shit tonne of offices in Kootenay and the Okanagan
